Police are very quickly becoming the most despised people in society. I don't understand why they want to be this way. If the public supported them their job would be much easier.

Some while before I retired I did a lot of work for a charity that looked after abused women. I got friendly with some of the staff and one lady in particular who told me that more men are abused than women, but they won't admit to it. Their mates might say 'Your missus been beating you up again?' to which the answer would be, 'nah I fell down the stairs/hurt myself doing DIY/etc'
