      I think a lot of comments here make it sound like you don't have to go for an interview... You do.

      @@philware1546 Where in my comment have I said they can't make an arrest? A voluntary interview is a confession session, not a meet and greet. I made it quite clear in the video that the police do not have powers to force entry to make an arrest for a summary offence, irrespective of refusal to attend a voluntary interview.

      I’m sorry but sending emails, commenting on social media etc is far more a concern for the public than acts of violence, corruption, thefts, stabbing etc etc

      My step mum left the police because of the corruption. She said one time she had to attend a flat because the old bloke passed away in it , there was seven grand in bills he stashed away (probably for his family ) she counted it and put the correct amount down then her superior got angry at her saying “why did you do that for, you won’t make it in the police because you’re to honest “ they wanted to swipe a bit of it . I wouldn’t even call the police if I was being burgled , chances are the plod tipped them off anyway

      I don’t know about now but in the 80s police were getting their houses cleared out while on holiday then reporting a burglary on return..
      Guess who turns up to investigate, their friends..

      I've been nicked twice in my life, utterly bang to rights guilty as well, and went 'no comment' throughout. In both occasions I was released without charge/No further action. Most coppers couldn't investigate their arse with both hands and a mirror, and rely on you to incriminate yourself, especially in these type of he said/she said allegations. The current caution is 'You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something you later rely on in court' but if you say nothing they have nothing to go to court with usually, so no inference will be drawn from your refusal to answer questions and possibly incriminate yourself. It's a paper tiger.

      You are right, he did not have to attend a voluntary interview. He was not arrested for failure to attend the interview. They already had the powers to arrest him; they asked him to attend an interview because it would make everyone’s lives easier.

      (1) They state they have reasonable grounds to suspect the individual has committed an offence (malicious communications).
      (2) Under S24 of PACE a constable has the powers to arrest anyone they suspect to have committed an offence.
      (3) As per S24 PACE the necessity of the arrest is to allow for the prompt and effective investigation of the offence or of the conduct of the suspect.
      That’s how they have the powers to arrest. The reasoning behind offering a “voluntary” interview is because it’s easier for the police, under S24 of PACE it provides them with even stronger grounds for their necessity to arrest and the person suspected of committing the offence gets to pick the best time for them to attend an interview (thereby causing less disruption to their life).

      When I was in my teens, I had a weekend job on the phones at a taxi rank. When I was being taught how to speak appropriately to customers wanting to book, they metioned specifically no adressing them with informal terms like mate etc. But it's ok for the police, who are anything but our mates. Makes sense

    This is crazy. I got threatened with a knife recently. I reported it, not one sight of a police officer. I was informed an officer would arrive to take a statement. 3months later, I got a text saying sorry for not being in touch and asking if an officer could still come for a statement. I gave them dates - this was 5 months again and still not seen that office. This was a knife crime.
    This is malicious communications - someone sent an email which hurt someones feelings. And this gets 4 officers straight away. Lile wtf?

      Those handcuffs are a torture device and unlawful under international law. They can and do use them to cause intense pain and physical damage to the one cuffed. I personally know this and tried suing over the amount of damage caused to my arms by them. Not surprisingly no legal profession will touch this with a barge pole. And the photographic evidence I presented disappeared without a trace. Along with the human rights advocate they where handed over to. Who went by the name of Claire Newvorn.

      Patrick, I had 8 turn up over a parking ticket, where I asked the TW he did wrong ( I was on a double yellow, but was 2 minutes dropping off Christmas presents) and he didn't wait the statutory time to ticket........... I landed up with 140 hrs community payback for arguing with a TW aggressively 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Coming from a generation brought up to respect the police I have taught my children that under no circumstances are they to say ANYTHING WHATEVER to the police and always record if possible. They have treated the general public as an enemy or a cash cow and thrown away any claim they had of deserve respect.

      Not in the UK. Since your refusal to answer questions can harm your defence "if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court." This is my understanding of the matter and I'm not a solicitor.

      He fully understood and gave the opportunity, as was shown at the start. A perfectly valid voluntary interview was arranged. That was all good. I don't want to side with the police (I really don't) but what everyone is failing to see is if the guy attended the interview, none of this would have happened. He could have sat there and said nothing. Once he failed to show, the police can then arrest to bring him in. It was simply the way they went about it that was wrong and is the point of this video.

      @@noggintube I disagree. The guy knew the police officer was lying about the law. So under duress he told the officer what he wanted to hear to get rid of him. If the police officer hadn't lied and followed the law than there would be no problem. I wouldn't take the risk of attending when they have shown no integrity, only a fool would obey.

      @@uncled39 it seems easy to understand, but you obviously haven't done. They give the option of a voluntary interview, which he took. If you fail to accept or attend the voluntary interview, or try to leave during it, the police may use their powers of arrest to secure the interview regardless. He was given the opportunity to go to the voluntary interview (rather than arrest) and accepted it, date arranged etc. Because he failed to attend the police fall back on their option to then arrest. This is normal procedure whether you like it or not. As I say, I'm not condoning the actions, just highlighting sometimes it's best to know which battles to fight.

    my grandson who is 13 got jumped by 6 lads in balaclavas a day before xmas eve, he was robbed and beaten ,he has autismn and is vulnerable ,the police took over a week to come to take a statement ,reason was they were all playing security guards protecting a hotel that was intending on moving illegal immigrants there , they dont work for the public to serve and protect they work for corporations and goverment bodies ,

      I'm in the US and the police do not patrol neighborhoods where I live. They claim their too busy or don't have the people or something like that even though we pay taxes for them to patrol. If you want the police to patrol your neighborhood you have to get the home owner's association to pay the police $85/hour to come in and patrol. What you actually get for your $85/hour is a cop who parks up to do paperwork while running radar to catch speeders. They set the alert on the radar for about 15-20 mph over the speed limit so they aren't disturbed from their paperwork and don't do anything of value. No driving around making their presence seen, no talking to people no community relations building, nothing. Just parking up and doing paperwork.

      I believe that is the exact nature of the problem, but in reverse. I believe Crimebodge does, however i and most civilians do not. We are subject to the laws of the land, but do we know them?       I once got arrested for not telling an officer why I had a sledgehammer with me. If I wanted to speak to a solicitor prior to being arrested, then would I have got one? I got one in the cells.

    So good to see Crimebodge back in action. 😊 The police also failed to safely escort the handcuffed victim down the stairs. Duty of care dictates that when escorting someone who is handcuffed behind their back when walking down stairs is to take a firm hold of their arm as if you fall forwards with your hands cuffed behind you , you will smash face first into to ground and not be able to break your fall. It would also be safer if another police officer walks in front if the handcuffed man to prevent such a fall.

    You are right, a voluntary interview is voluntary and he does not have to attend but this is being offered as, if he agrees, there would be no necessity to arrest. If he refuses to attend this will then meet the necessity criteria for arrest.

Not because they commit more crime, but because they are more likely to be arrested by our racist police and jailed by our racist court system. They aren't getting away with it at all. You can bang on about Rochdale all you like but plenty of Brits and white people were involved in the grooming gangs too. The thing that connected all of them was that they were all in the night time economy, take aways, deleivery drivers and cabbies. The Police don't care about working class girls, black or white, and that is why they largely did nothing to stop the grooming. They merely used the excuse of 'cultural sensitivity' to do do nothing.

    When he didn't attend the initial interview it became an ego thing. The ego of the pig was challenged. So he had to return to show him who was boss.
    The fact that this involved breaking his oath and 3 laws was beside the point to the copper. As he was doing the usual police thing of enforcing his feelings and not enforcing the law.
