I just installed an under the cabinet jar opener. What a help and out of the way, too. I also have several inflatable solar lights that give off very good light. Made by Luci for camping but I have them for power outages. I’ve been downsizing my “stuff” and I’m feeling much lighter without having so much. Thank you for sharing about the pet stickers! I’m going to order some of those.

After watching this post, and going back to review the earlier post of 8 things, I added to my list the solar lights for the back yard, and also the emergency fire blanket. They are now in place, and I have a little sense of satisfaction when I see them. Especially the fire blanket. I have an extinguisher in the garage, but don’t know how to use it, and if it’s even functional. Thank you to you and all of those who comment about their must-haves.

The one thing I can't live without as a single person alone is a long-handled lotion applicator. It's like a back brush for the shower, except that instead of a brush at the end there's a plastic pad that you can use to apply creams, lotions, or medications to the skin on your back. When my cat got spooked and lacerated my back pretty badly, I was able to apply antibiotic cream with it.

For my kitchen I bought a fire blanket... much easier to use for a grease fire on the stove, or a toaster oven when the pizza ignited. And there's no chemicals to clean up afterward. It hangs on the wall in an inconspicuous spot by my back door. To open it, you just pull the tabs that clearly say "pull" and it opens up, then you can smother a small fire with it. It's made from glass fiber.

I am 46, married and homeschool my kids. I am here because you chose to branch out of the "silver and solo" niche and share your experience. I gravitate to people older than myself because a lot of wisdom is usually present and there is generally less noise of keeping up appearances. I hope that makes sense and encourages you. I really appreciate your transparency that you are taking us on the journey. That said, this is perhaps the last video in your monetization series? Will you do updates or maybe you already are, as you continue to learn?

Although I wasn't bullied I was teased a lot. It made me more shy than I already was. Once my schoolmates understood this, they stopped teasing. But, that was many years ago. Our world is different today. I'm sorry that happened to you, Jen. "Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body" Proverbs 16:24 (NLT)

Walking around naked one day I suddenly thought "wait, if I fall and can't get up, my neighbor will find me like this". lol (now I don a nightie) Would LOVE to visit an art museum ALONE. For the same reason I enjoy shopping alone. I can linger as long/little as I wish.

I've always seen an ending as a new beginning. A time for change and growth. It isn't easy but (in the end) we get there. I've moved more times than I can count but with each move came more wisdom and clarity (ie: who needs all this stuff?!).

Dehumidifier. Just bought one. Collects 2 gallons of water per day. If you grow plants/flowers you can use the water. Oh, and a hand truck dolly cart (two wheeler). I use mine to bring in (heavier) Amazon boxes.

Hi Jen, I absolutely love your videos. I’ve been here a while but you are soooo popular & so many great commenters that I often just leave a thumbs up. One of the things I can’t live without (sadly it’s not environmentally friendly) is dry shampoo. I have a condition that makes it impossible to wash my own hair & so in between my carer popping in to help out I find a tin of dry shampoo helps keep my hair feeling & looking clean. Apparently it’s made of rice. Annie🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Wow, impressive! Good for you!! I started channels for art and healthy living years ago but after doing a few videos, they have sat there since life got chaotic with selling properties and moving to Europe. Maybe I should revive one of them? Only problem, not sure what I want to focus on now as I feel like I have a lot to share about simplifying, decluttering, letting go, travel tips, as well as expertise in painting and then there is the holistic nutrition aspect. I am confused about what to choose, nothing new, my ADD always keeps life interesting but settling on something is always a huge challenge.

Portable speaker for music. Air fryer. Small stackable portable bins for recycling and return cans (Northern Europe) that I can lift and put in my car. Sunrise clock for winter times. Diary and planners to keep track of goals and monitor wellbeing outcomes. Dedicated ergonomic home office. Eye mask for sleeping. These make my life easier, whether or not they are single specific, what me know ☺

Great content. I'm nailing down the solo life. I do things according to my own schedule. After a shower, I would parade around naked. There, I said it. I fix stuff, manage my own finances and if I feel like a trip to the big city, I'm gone. I call it my "Eat, shop and gamble trip". Sometimes, I get a hair-cut. And, I do feel safe around the house, (with 3 long rifles).😁
