I can identify with you, we both think alike and I will attempt just about any diy project. So glad I found you, I too am silver and solo and I love your adventures.
Brilliant!! Delayed but not daunted. Be proud🎉. Love the walk. Your fur baby is so precious. He/she ventures off to investigate, but always waits for you after clearing the way 🥰. Amazing to have the well-worn path all to yourself…. Except for the forest sprites that jumped ahead to video your stroll. Thanks for talking us along.
Thank you for all your videos! As an older woman whos husband is getting forgetful and things are falling more and more on my shoulders I have discovered I got this. Watching your channel, I pick up valuable information. THANK YOU for being there when i need a pep talk.
Your experience with hanging light strips sums up my experience with nearly every handyman job I take on in my house! Which is why my motto is “hire a handyman” 😉. I got tired of spending hours on a small task gone awry. I haven’t done it for awhile but I used to wait until I had a list of projects to fill a half day and call in a handy person to look after them. Btw, another great video!
Thank you for coming along when you did. I am white and soon to be solo. Your attitude and strong spirit is giving me incentive. I'll have company my two doggies. I raised two boys, worked hard but my older son is more like me when it comes to minimalism, frugality and handling his money properly. I'm happy that he has a happy marriage. My second son was the black sheep. He'll be moving by mid May. They grow up and they leave the nest which I expect but some of our kids don't even want to have a coffee break, even if you don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Even if you respect them and don't give advice unless asked they still can't enjoy a coffee break. . I'm 64 now and despite my health the only thing I expected was a nice visit and a pleasant conversation from them. I'm an independent person. There is no guarantee that even those closest to us will love us and not simply use us. Kindness and general politeness is not guaranteed. We need to keep learning to be solo and enjoy life as much as we can. 😊😊
I use my glue gun for these types of jobs. No screws, just a dollop of hot glue and it's stuck. In my old house from 1910, the walls are very thick and sturdy and I just can't get through with drills. And if you buy good glue for your glue gun, even a painting will stay in place. If you want to change it, add a small drop of petroleum to the glue and it will dissolve. And hot glue on wood works like a charm. I'm like a cowboy with my glue gun running through my entire house, gluing everything down.
I am so very happy that your channel is doing well. I’m sure you are helping lots of people with your tips and positive way of handling life’s challenges. I look forward to your videos!
Greetings from the UK. Another week of informative and wholesome videos from you. Thank you. Lovely to see that your subscription numbers keep increasing. I have liked and subscribed 🙂
I’m technically silver and solo (husband doesn’t do most things I enjoy). I learned a lot from your channel how to find joy by doing things myself. Thank you!
Just found your channel. Glad to see someone else doing things for themselves. Wish we had beautiful paths like yours here in Texas. Thanks for the motivation.👍
Heya, I googled it because I thought staples were measured in width but nope it's length and Guage for the thickness of the wire used. Learn something new everytime I watch your videos. Killing brand new string of lights sounds like something I would do 😂😂😂 super cute, good job!
Nice work. Lights always make things look better. I just don't have the patience to do this type of project but I give you so much credit. Came out great.
I know it is really satisfying to persevere through a challenging task and get it done - well done, Jen. I also have learned some good tips through the other comments. That's what's great about UA-cam - crowd solving problems!
You know when you started the story, I was sitting there watching and thinking oh no… I know something is going to go really wrong with this but I was assuming it would be when you did the screws in the shelf. When you said you got out the staple gun, I knew what was going to happen. I’m very impressed that you had the patience to research for a video on UA-cam and figure out how to fix it. I think at that point I would have given up for the day!!! I know you’re going to be VERY happy that you did those lights, especially when it’s dark and you can put them on with the remote control instead of turning your overhead garage lights on if you need to go out into the garage and get something. Great job and happy Sunday morning (from the Chicago, Illinois suburbs!)
Well done on the DIY! Stupid question, but why LED’s in the garage? I’m not trying to be a smart aleck, I am just genuinely interested. Beautiful forest! Looks like you have some old growth trees there. How precious. Companies are so quick to want to cut them down. Over 50, but not single. I still find your content very relevant. Keep it up!
LED Lightrip in your garage so you could find your way around?👌 I have those same inside my one room where I read, think, write and hang out. ✨️👌 My very own hideaway❤
I love the lights. You know it would really look good if you also just went on the top of the shelf back around to the beginning and the light would shine above and upward too. I also think these little bits you add to your dog walk videos adds interest to the entire video. Also the dog walk was different today. The music made it happy and light-more energetic. I have a question that might seem a little yucky but are you required to pick up in bags your little dog’s business (if you get what I refer to)? Just curious but none of my business. Loved the whole video today!
I thought of that, but drilling "that" many holes just didn't seem as efficient as stapling the thing....much easier, plus I learned how to repair a lightstrip! lol
Thanks for the tips - that's exactly the sort of goof I'd make ;-) I'm looking forward to walking my dad's dogs on Vancouver Island next month! Which trail is that?

What a beautiful and healing place to get to enjoy as you walk. 😊
I’m newer to your channel. What a beautiful walking path and scenery!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for the lovely walk. Cute lights.

Lovely walk today, and kudos for the DIY. Ive finally accepted that I now need a handyman for repairs and maintenance. After
You are ingenious! 🤗
Congratulations on the job persistence and repair. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓

Cool idea!
Lights look great! Good job, Jen! Thank you for another beautiful, peaceful walk. ❤😊
Thanks so much!
Good evening from Australia Jen. Very well done on your project. I love your dog walks too :)

Thanks 👍
Good job! Looks great. I’m a wood turner and those cut logs on your walk looked like a bunch of nice potential wood bowls to me.
Pretty woods!
I do enjoy your walks. The scenery is so beautiful. DIY projects are my nemesis!! I am proud of you for getting those lights up!
I love it
I do enjoy the Sunday vlogs!
Yay! Thank you!
Hello From Alberta! I am thinking of doing those strips along the edge of the deck.
I know it is really satisfying to persevere through a challenging task and get it done - well done, Jen. I also have learned some good tips through the other comments. That's what's great about UA-cam - crowd solving problems!
Hey Jen! Happy Sunday💖
Morning!
I need to do the LEDs below and to the back of my kitchen cabinets. Thanks for the hints, tricks, and how to fix oops!
Love how you’re so organized. I’m enjoying solar lights from Temu outside.
I enjoy your videos so much.
Wow...that was fast!😂
Are there bears? The walk is amazing. Looks like a Jurassic Forest.

I just love having a little colour in the dark instead of a glaring overhead light. Just a little whimsy! :) Thanks for watching!
How do you video yourself walking in the woods! Is someone with you with the video camera?? ❤
There's a lot of running ahead, setting up the shot, then going back and walking toward the camera. Repeat. Coming up with interesting shots is fun!
Added music eh.Nice.
LED Lightrip in your garage so you could find your way around?👌 I have those same inside my one room where I read, think, write and hang out. ✨️👌 My very own hideaway❤
Sticky velcro is a good option to stick electrical cables to walls and furniture and also using a hot glue gun.
I love the lights. You know it would really look good if you also just went on the top of the shelf back around to the beginning and the light would shine above and upward too. I also think these little bits you add to your dog walk videos adds interest to the entire video.

Can I suggest you drill a small pilot hole in wood before you try and screw in to it. It might make it easier and you'll avoid splitting the wood.
I thought of that, but drilling "that" many holes just didn't seem as efficient as stapling the thing....much easier, plus I learned how to repair a lightstrip! lol
U Glu Dashes are your friend. They'll stick to pretty much anything forever if you want them to.
Very neat! I haven't heard of them before...on the list now! Thanks!
Nifty ga-lifty.
Thanks for the tips - that's exactly the sort of goof I'd make ;-) I'm looking forward to walking my dad's dogs on Vancouver Island next month! Which trail is that?
It's on private property near my home. Not really open for everyone. Enjoy the Island, you should have gorgeous weather!
English is not my native language. Please, what does "silver" mean in the name of this channel?
Silver is the colour of my hair. :)
@@silverandsolo Oh! It's so simple and I didn't understand it! Thank you! I just subscribed to your channel. Greetings from Brazil. 🌻
I found you two days ago and am loving your talks and your projects. Can’t wait to watch previous videos. Happy Sunday!
