The emphasis within the Best Bet Diet is on vegetables. That's your safe heaven. Not sure you went the carnivore route. Historically we've never been on a full carnivore diet. I just can't see the logic why people think this is healthy. Plenty of studies that show the complete opposite.

Interesting to read so many proponents of the carnivore diet in the comments. I assume this is due to you talking about this diet in videos before, so other carnivore dieters will find it through the algorithm - although I wonder how many of the commentors have MS as well. Personally, as someone who also has MS, I probably wouldn't embark on a high saturated fat diet, but it will be interesting to follow your journey!

Are you really desperate for attention? I take Kesimpta every month, but never felt the need to broadcast it. Not sure what your true intention is. I personally, would feel ashamed when there’s so many on wheelchairs who have no life. Influencers ain’t scientists and mislead so much.

What is the role of CCSVI Venous Hypertension and proper/improved Cerebrospinal Blood flow?? #CCSVI #BloodFlowMatters CCSVI is definitely one of the causes of MS. The novelty for some years is that we are certain that, after studying at the La Sapienza University of Rome, there are 3 types of CCSVI: * a 1 type with patients suffering from an obstacle to the endovacular venous discharge, i.e. due to congenital or acquired anomalies that restrict and block the drainage of the investigated veins (jugular, vertebral, azygos) * a 2nd type with patients suffering from an extra-vascular venous obstruction, i.e. due to external compression of the vessel * a 3 type with patients suffering from endo-vacular and extra-vascular venous obstruction So to simplify we can say that there is a CCSVI of the "hydraulic" type (1 type), a CCSVI of the "mechanical" type (2 type) and a "mixed" CCSVI of the two previous types (3 type), the 2 and the 3 type represent about 85% of cases. A patient with type 1 CCSVI will have a greater indication for angioplasty treatment, a patient with type 2 CCSVI will have a specific indication for specific physiotherapy decompressive treatment (RIMA Method), a patient with type 3 CCSVI it will have an indication for both an endo-vascular dilatation treatment and an extra-vascular decompression treatment. The RIMA Method devised by Dr. Domenico Ricci of Bari is able to release compressed veins throughout their course, as shown by a publication of June 2015 after a one-year study (Internal jugular Venous Compressione Syndrome: hemodynamic outcomes after cervical vertebral decompression manipulations-Pubmed). Interesting you say that because I consumed a lot of whey protein throughout my late teens and up until my diagnosis. That was when I looked into diet as a cause of autoimmune conditions and noticed that dairy seems to be strongly linked to MS and so I drew the same conclusion as you that the whey protein definitely wasn't helping. May even have been what tipped it over the edge. So I am so glad I've now cut it out!

    1. Plants with seeds actually rely on being eaten in order to be spread and to germinate elsewhere, so anthropomorphising them with this 'desire to kill us because they don't want to be eaten' is ridiculous. 2. It is very well documented that a diet higher in whole grains - which was the ONLY dietary influence shown to have any statistically significant impact on MS - is associated with better disease outcomes. Whole grains, if you notice, are from plants. 3. I know you mean well, but you're not a scientist nor a doctor so please stop spreading information - especially as reckless as recommending a diet which is associated significantly with all-cause mortality, particularly heart disease and cancer.

I personally have MS and it was my first choice. I said I would take HSCT and hit the disease hard, but my neurologist recommended trying Ocrevus first. If it fails, then I would make the leap to HSCT. It's not a procedure to be taken lightly, but it's the closest thing we have to a 'cure', so now we wait for Ocrevus to do its job. If not, well, another battle awaits.

Thank you for sharing. I am about same age got diagnosed this winter. Yeah I am quite fine with it but got some little issues due nervepain and solve it with movement and ice bathing ^^. Getting diagnosed is of course frecking bad but nowadays, affected people are quite lucky there is so much different ways controlling ure path of progression. Anyways I feel connected to ur story and that makes the truth about beeing affected by this condition a bit easier cause ur not alone with it. Take care and I wish u all the best! Greetings from Swizzie mountains =)

Now, you posted this a while ago, but, you need to know that there is a cure for MS. They found it in 1987. "We" should feel ashamed but, where do "we" rank? You know that it begins to make sense. I like the study from 2017. That's my favorite. Look it up. Type: World Healthcare Rankings. You can type the year and presto. It's so weird.

If you were eating honey, perhaps it wasn't raw honey. Most honey isn't raw. I got honey advertised to be "raw" from a local butcher, and it turned out to be adulterated. Clearly bad for health as it gave me splitting headaches and strange jaw ache symptoms. My sister has exactly the same symptoms after eating it. Adulterating honey is a huge industry. Statistically far more honey is consumed than is produced by bees.

@@janbarriault4494 Ask your doctor to prescribe a sedative if you are very claustrophobic. Also helpful for claustrophobia is using an eye covering like the eye mask people use for sleeping. However, make sure that whatever eye covering you use has no metal in or on it. Try to relax and you can ask them to play music you find relaxing while you are in the tube. All the best and I hope you will get back great results and be healthy.

I've been suspecting I have MS for quite some time but have not had the courage to go check it out. I am really afraid of doctors dismissing my symptoms and I get nervous when trying to explain all these random things. I had an MRI several years back after an ER visit and they found lesions in my brain. But they sent me to an ENT and an audiologist who said they can't figure out what is wrong. I gave up after that but I am now ready to go back and try to figure this out because my symptoms are getting worse and I am tired of just dealing with them. Thank you for video.

Yeah I definitely think that Stress payed a huge part in my initial relapses that led to me being diagnosed. I had a stressful job back then that I've left which I think really helped calm things down! What do you find your WHOOP most useful for in regards to MS?

@@tomgarbett77 I mainly use recovery % to manage my strain for the day. My exercise physiologist suggests to keep strain under 13 for MS patients. If l have a low recovery, l’ll drive my son to school as opposed to walk him or skip reformer pilates that day and focus on recovery activities like sauna, meditation, massage. It helps with my energy conservation. Interesting l also noticed the HRV/RHR metrics are terrible for 48 hours after taking DMT.

Thank you for this great video 😃I have MS and I discovered the BEST BET DIET during the first lockdown .Then I watched LIVING PROOF .I thought of doing the wahls diet but she recommends all organic food which costs a fair bit .Interestingly , I bought DR Terry Wahls Audiobook .In that book she mentions how her neurologist told her about Dr Ashton Embrys BEST BET Diet .............I think you are right Tom , in about 20 years diet will be the way MS is treated .Thanks again ! :)

Ah Tom you were 2 wks ahead of me so i was really hoping to follow your journey alongside mine. I too havd the same diagnosis RLRM variant. I don't like to name it out loud or even call "my" as i feel it encourages me to own it, and i certainly do not want to own this! I prefer to use distancing words in the attempt to discredit it being allowed in my life. "That MS" sounds so much better. I started 4 days on just meats and cheese & cream, and eggs only, but grew concerned about oxalate dumping which caused me to research oxalate foods and which coukd be used to help lower the intake first before stopping and going full carnivore again. So week 2 sees me working through moderate oxalate foods and then next week I'll omit the foods from this week to go to lower oxalated foods until I'm hopefully able to remove and return to full carnivore. So i guess i am clean keto for now. Inflammation is one of the issues i am hoping to change, so management of Oxalates are definitely key for my journey. I noticed you didn't use double cream in your coffee? I am stuffing myself as much as possible, with cheeses butter cream olive oils to help keep the fat content high. I am hoping to follow the suggestions of KenDBerryMD moving into carnivore when ready. Thank-you for sharing your journey 🙏🏼

You definitely should have done 3 months and stuck more towards carnivore. What interesting to me is that you had a number of markers showing improvements, but bc you didn’t feel like Superman, you are going back to the old diet with worse sleep and energy levels. You also started from a place of relative fitness, no MS relapses for years, so what did you expect? You made gains in 4 weeks doing it half-assed. That’s pretty good!

You can take vitamin C as ascorbic acid powder in larger doses, like several grams will sort your stools out PLUS help in any auto immune issues. Also magnesium (research for the right type) helps greatly. I know with carnivore they say you don't need supplements but additional issues can complicate things.
