  • So I have now been relapse free over the past year after having a really active disease in the few months before that. So I put this down largely to the changes that I have made to my life to counteract the pathways within the body that create the MS disease. This includes things like diet, stress, lifestyle which is what I cover in this video.

      Ah that's great to hear Yattie! Glad it has worked for you. That diet is essentially a step further from The Best Bet diet as she first adopted the Best Bet diet then went another step to make it even more extreme as her MS had already progressed pretty far and she needed to turn it around. Do you find it difficult/ restrictive doing the diet? Or like me do you feel like you get used to it pretty quick?

    Finding your channel was one of the best things I did in the last months. I was diagnosed about one year ago and have not been on any meds since then. I follow Coimbra Protocol and my doctor basically recommends the same things and supplements you mentioned in this video. I hope everything goes alright with you!!!

      @tomgarbett77  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Hector, ah I’m so glad my channel has been beneficial to you!! But yes that’s really interesting with the Coimbra Protocol, I have considered extending my supplements to have much higher dose vitamin D because of that protocol and the evidence there is there. Has it largely benefited you then?

      @hectorfernandonicolaudossa8645 2 роки тому +1

      @@tomgarbett77 Hi Tom! It has brought me many benefits. I haven't had any relapses since I started last June. You can safely increase your vitamin D to 10,000 IU's per day. But larger doses I would recommend doing it with a doctor trained in the Protocol. Now, I've been taking 100,000 IU's per day but my doctor requires many blood and urine tests to make sure everything is Okay. Dr Eric Berg made a video about this topic some weeks ago and you can watch it to have an overview about how to start. Thank you for responding me!

      @@tomgarbett77 I do 16:8 fasting now daily and plan on doing a 2-3 day fast every 2-3 weeks or so to keep the B / T cells in check. Definitely eating clean as well - try to eat fish 2-3 times a week and the rest vegetarian. Also cut sugar / alcohol / dairy straight away :) Jogging 2-3 times a week and doing weights occasionally (want to increase this though). Taking supplements including: curcumin, probiotics, vit D, Magnesium, Alpha lipoic acid, omega 3 + flax seed oil and a B vit complex. Also trying to begin with cold showers - already noticing I am getting used to them! Starting meds in 2-3 months or so after another MRI, hoping for mavenclad / ocrevus :) Great content as always btw! What about taking propionic acid on a daily basis which has been shown in a study to reduce the number of flares ( and probably disease activity ?). It
    is recommended as an add on in Germany. We have got juvenile arthritis, morbus bechterew and ms in the familiy and try to deal with it as best as can. Incence capsules are also anti inflammatory, though only in rather high dose according to another study. Best wishes to you, very good channel. I hope your health will stabilize.

    I had my first episode July 2nd of 2022. I was diagnosed in February of this year (wallowed a couple months of course), and haven’t had a relapse since the first. I settled on the Wahls Protocol in March. I’m on 10k IU vitamin D, vitamin k, Nicole Apelian’s mushroom tinctures, NAC, magnesium glycinate, and garlic. I’m still struggling to quit smoking and start exercising. Stress is tough.

    Hi Tom, I follow a similar diet to you and am also relapse free for a while. Also in the process of changing to a less stressful job. One thing I do still get sometimes is "pseudo-exacerbations" where old symptoms such as tingling appear when I'm too hot, stressed, exhausted etc. They always disappear in a few hours when I address what's causing the pseudo-exacerbation. Do you have any of experiences like this?

    • @tomgarbett77
      @tomgarbett77  2 роки тому

      That's great to hear you are using diet and lifestyle to control the disease and have been relapse free! But yes I don;t actually seem to be effected by heat, although when I do cardio exercise I feel tingling in certain areas, which is similar to what you are suggesting. SO I think it is normal and is that in certain situations which alter the nerve conduction, it can highlight areas where there was previous damage. So it is likely something you'll ust have to live with although with the diet it may improve in time. Hope that helps!
