  • I have had many MRI's now and the first time I went in one, I didn't know what to expect and was very apprehensive. So I wanted to make a video to clear it up, sharing my experience and what to expect before you have an MRI.

    I was just diagnosed with MS at 32. I’m grateful to find your channel and follow your journey. You’ve helped answer a lot of my questions so far. Thanks for your videos and effort you out into them. 😊

    Hi, thank you for posting videos about MS. I find the MRI scan claustrophobic and very noisy exactly like how you explained. I talked with my GP as i was dreading another scan. They gave me a tablet to take before the scan to keep me calm. Then whilst i was getting the scan i had a mirror to look outside. A much better experience that time.

      Yes it can feel very claustrophobic in there, but glad you had a better experience this time round!

    I think the “helmet” part to not move your head was the worst for me. I definitely feel claustrophobic. But the earplugs are a lifesaver! How are you doing? Are you feeling stable on your DMT? All the best to you

      Yeah I completely agree, the staying still was definitely the hardest part! But yes overall I am doing great, no new symptoms in a long time, so the DMT in combination with my lifestyle and diet changes seems to be working! How are you doing?

      Asked to be prescribed an anxiety or claustrophobia medication. I went to sleep and was very relaxed.

      Hi Amanda, I am very good thanks! Posting a new video later to update. Sorry to hear that, but hang on in there and start looking into what you can be doing yourself to combat the disease IN CASE you get diagnosed. Then you can be prepared and feel more in control of it.

      @tomgarbett77 like you mentioned on the video, it's the staying still bit that is the hardest. And the heat it generates. I think it also depends on how long the MRI takes.

      @@goddess.110 Yes definitely, If it's a quick scan it goes by pretty easy I think!

    My biggest issues with the MRI is that I can't stop moving about and the radiographers get annoyed with me 😂

    • @tomgarbett77
      @tomgarbett77  11 місяців тому +1

      Yep same as me then! 😂 it is so difficult and then you can’t stop thinking about not moving, which makes it harder to stay still! 😂

      @@tomgarbett77Hey, do you only have brain lesions or spinal lesions as well? Thanks for answering 😊
