  • In this video I discuss where we are at with finding a cure for MS and what are the closest things out there. This was something that I was researching voraciously when I first realised I had MS, because that is the natural thing to do. I then ended up looking into how diet effects multiple sclerosis and that was where I found some really promising signs.
    There is obviously lot's of work that is currently going into finding a cure and hopefully there will be some in the not too distant future, as some great work is going on across the globe to find a cure for this horrible disease.
    Let me know in the comments your thoughts on the treatment options available and whether you have heard any exciting news on updates in the medical field with regards to a cure.
    Stay tuned for more videos and hit subscribe if you would like to follow my journey and hopefully we can learn from one and another and live an incredibly healthy life.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Since March 2018 I*ve been on Orcrevus. Since then the MRI are unchanged. Despite this encouraging news there is still decline. In June 2021 I started with a gluten free, lactose free, diary free, egg free, sugar free diet. The fatique was much better within weeks. There is still decline in my physical abilities but I can fell that there is almost no inflamtion in my body. And that´s good of course. Greetings from Germany

      Thanks for sharing your experience. Sorry to hear you are still in decline. You are definitely doing the right thing by changing up your diet though, this will have massive benefits if you keep at it! Have you also looked into mindfulness and reducing stress levels?

      @@tomgarbett77 You are right. I had to reduce my stress level. At some point I was not able to work at all anymore. The motivation and the personal drive is slowly coming back. Gymnastics every day is helping a lot.

    Thank you. Yout right diet plays a big part. Please talk about the role of the HPA Axis, and the role of adaptogens in MS.

    • @tomgarbett77
      @tomgarbett77  2 роки тому +1

      Yes it definitely does. And that's a great suggestion actually because I similarly believe that the HPA axis is heavily involved in the process of your body becoming systemically unbalanced leading to MS. Adaptogens is also something I will look into further, have you got any particular that you have found useful?

    You are right bro, I think we all should get together and do something to boost the research of ms.. please you have a audiance plan something we have to beat MS!
    ALSO think.. there are less research organisation institute of MS compair to other disease , but In the last 20 years we have received many medicines. So if research goes a better way we will solve it.

      This is great you are bang on! I think I might need a bit of a larger audience just yet to be able to make an impact but that is definitely one of my goals in the long is to keep looking into research and keep pushing the boundaries so that we can make more steps forward!

      @@tomgarbett77 OMG! I'm great full for your response.., I have been research a lot and found really there are not that much resarch are going for MS, pharmaceutical companies are just "thinking" about a 3rd phase of trailer of a medicine, HSCT can be the tool, but no research are going about it, just MS people save there money and go for HSCT ,and hope for living more n healthy life, but..there is also a impressive success rate in HSCT. Think about it bro.. there is a really big hope for us.. we should do something..

    How are you after 9 months on diet? Just a thought, there are 3 million MS patients in the world. Do you think nobody tried to stop MS with diet? I'm also on diet, but last MRI shows disease activity.

      Thank's for asking. You are right, in the meanwhile I'm on diet now for 29 month and there still was decline. Less than before, but noticeably. Especially my heat intollerance and my bladder got worse. 8 month ago I started with 16/8 h intermittent fasting and for about 3 months I've noticed that things are getting better. It's an extremely slow process but right now the decline seems to be stopped. And since 12 month I'm not on Ocrevus.

    Hi Tom they dodnt want us to know to much so true However think if we talk to others besides Neuorogist they wont talk! we have l find some answers Like talking to maybe naturopathic doctors and other MS freinds Diet most important factor in MS I think I'm just eating heathly no specific diet is that same or does have be specific diet for MS?

    • @tomgarbett77
      @tomgarbett77  2 роки тому +1

      Yes you're right they definitely don't want us to know because so much money is made off the treatments unfortunately! But yes I think the main step is eating whole foods and cutting out inflammatory foods like gluten and dairy. Then being more specific I think 'The Best Bet' diet is the most balanced and scientifically backed up of all the MS diets. So that's why I chose that diet for me!

      Funny you say that because although I have no Swedish descent people have always told me I look Scandinavian because I'm tall blue eyes etc! But yes I think a lot of people have the genetic susceptibility but only some of us develop it due to many other external factors lining up, like diet, stress, leaky gut, HPA axis etc! I will probably get a video together on my thoughts on all that!
