I think that doing it without the fruit and honey would have been better. Those still pump up your blood sugar. Perhaps eating higher fat meats and more clean fatty fish for omega 3s which are good for the nervous system. Also make sure you are getting enough calories for your revved up metabolism.

Yeah thanks for your thoughts. I agree it would have been good to try without. I did already include a lot of salmon and sardines on this diet so I was well covered in terms of Omega 3's. Maybe I just needed to eat more fat overall like you say. Are you on Carnivore?

More ketovore but very clean [no carbs] . I am cutting out some of the veg and nuts I was having before as I am looking at oxylates being a problem. I am already following a lectin free diet. @@tomgarbett77

You definitely should have done 3 months and stuck more towards carnivore.
What interesting to me is that you had a number of markers showing improvements, but bc you didn’t feel like Superman, you are going back to the old diet with worse sleep and energy levels. You also started from a place of relative fitness, no MS relapses for years, so what did you expect? You made gains in 4 weeks doing it half-assed. That’s pretty good!

Hi Tom, I've been following your videos for a while and if I'm not mistaken, at some point you followed the Best Bet Diet. Did it work for you? It's the one I'm currently following, but this carnivore diet caught my attention.
    Thanks a million, regards.

Hi mate thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! Yes the best bet diet is still my main diet that I have followed for 3 years now. I just came off it for a month to do carnivore, but I still kept to the best bet ie didn’t eat any dairy on carnivore. I view carnivore as a more extreme version of the best bet diet essentially - the ultimate elimination diet! Has best bet worked for you?

Great analysis. I’m curious where you looked for recipes for carnivore you mentioned you found a couple?!
Grateful to be stable in 2024!
I need to lose some weight so carnivore has peaked my interest. I am definitely no dairy and really trying to just eat healthier…

@@colleensmith3374 Let's do this! Yeah mainly just from UA-cam, there are plenty of other carnivores out there who are doing carnivore on a budget and so there are great videos out there with ground beef recipes that I found especilly useful and tasty!

I think you should try for 3 months with fats in 3rd month. Let go of fruit / honey. Then incorporate other foods or go the Lion diet way if carnivore is proving to be successful. If there is illness in the body, it will take longer. So it may not feel superhuman much. Damage took its time, so apply the same to undamage. Hang in there friend.

Hey, Tom... were you going the whole hog, like eating nose-to-tail? Collagen?
    Old diet?... Best Bet?

Hey Kevin! Yeah I was so trying to incorporate organ meets and also collagen... As well as eating skin on chicken etc so was pretty well covered on the meat side. And yeah I normally do the Best Bet Diet anyway, so my diet is already pretty clean which potentially was why I didn't feel a crazy difference. Also could've been the fact I still had fruit and honey
