Appreciate the video. It's a great gun. Has the finish been holding up for you? I've always considered Cerakote to be a "must have" upgrade, because the factory finishes are really weak. If I ever buy my own GX4 I'm probably going to factor Cerakote into the price and will have it Cerakoted as soon as I test fire it and make sure it's safe and reliable.

Just picked one up today at a gun shop / coin shop in NE Pennsylvania. Mine dates from 1967 and it cleaned up Great! Has a 20" trapper barrel. No checkering on the hard wood and it is mounted with a very nice 4x scope. Off to the range tomorrow.

I bought a JM 1989 cs last week and I believe mine was a cabinet queen maybe a box of 20 through it. The buck horn site you speak of of yours was still there flips up and down I learned with mine I was not aware of and was presently surprised. Hunt with it👍 yes just enjoy taking more careful time hunting. I'm going out with mine and mine is in mint out of box condition. To lighten the load on it I also bought a 336 dark. Now your talking, thats what I did! Mine shot the first time it was 3 inch not 1. 2moa I put the Wooden stock stock and now it shoots great 1.2 MOA!

I see a lot of comments regarding great customer service. When buying a firearm, customer service is low on my list for making decisions. If a firearm fails in a defensive situation when your life is on the line, what good is customer service? Customer service when it comes to firearms should be about putting out the most reliable product you can and not about how you fix an issue after the fact.

I believe these rifles were stocked with birchwood, not walnut. I could be wrong.

got the gx4 t.o.r.o. with a Riton red dot. so far I'm happy with it. Can't say the same with my G2c. I don't trust that thing at all.

I have 2 of them and just ordered the X4 carry version! I have had zero issues and they shoot every weight and style bullet out there! Reliable and a sweet shooter and a softer shooter than the P365 ! I know because I own one of them too lol ! I trust mine without hesitation!

That was the first deer rifle I ever got it was from a store called Otasco my Dad got it for me for Christmas I was so proud of it it shot very well but it got took from me and pawned for food and booze it was just a year after my parents divorced and times were hard but I got older and finnaly found my dream lever gun a 336 A in 30/30 caliber it’s barrel was a bit longer made in 1973 it shoots so good

I checked my trigger with two different guages and they both said 4 1/2 lbs.

I have a JM stamped 336 cs. $250 Brand new at K-Mart in 93'. My gun shop says it's 95% and $1200 to the right collector. I have a cheap Gander Mt optic on it. Love that rifle! I'm w the previous comment, shoot it every other sunday, keep her nice and new!

Im worried them 3.5s will rip the titanium anchors out of my arm that reattached my chest tendon …my 835 is a buck magnet though when I put that slug barrel on it

It’s not a perfect fit but I put a Limbsaver recoil pad on mine and it helps

365 is very versatile. Waist pocket ankle it'll ride just fine.

Mine has been great! Had to use the larger backstrap though but other than that it shoots really well.

I really wanted to get a CSX, and as a left handed shooter the ambi controls would have been a bonus. I watched all the csx videos I could find and the concensus is almost always the same. I guess I'll wait fot the CSX 2.0 performance division edition. Hopefully it'll also have a da/sa variant.

Had same dilemma, ultimately decided on lcp max because it’s the smallest, lightest pistol with high capacity. Easy to EDC. Forget I have it in my pocket.

Never had an issue with a trigger getting snagged, but i do wish i had that blade on my sig trigger just for one tiny extra bit of security

I just found this video and it’s about time someone made a video discussion like this. As most have said, I have had the same conundrum but I finally put an end to it. I have both weapons, I like both and shoot both well. I carry the LCP full time. It fits my lifestyle better and I am fully confident in the ammo, it’s not that much different when shot out of these small barrels. I want concealablity, if something come along that I would need a weapon, the Ruger just works.

Thanks. Just purchased a 69 prefix today. Good price. Has a very dirty chamber. Hopefully I can polish it up. It is engraved with a bobcat on one side of the receiver and a turkey on the opposite side. Some light rust. I'm thinking about putting a receiver sight on it, if I can get that chamber cleaned up satisfactorily.

Them pocket clips are a sketchy deal to me. Wats protecting the trigger? Unless you have a trigger cover on it in your pocket which defeats the purpose of Carrying it in your pocket.

Made in America means nothing anymore, had plenty of things made in America including firearms that were junk. That being said that's nothing compared to all the garbage coming from China. Although I like S&W revolvers the prices in 2024 are nuts. Picked up a new Taurus 627 Tracker with a 6.5 inch barrel for $485. Similar size S&W or Ruger was twice that if not more?
