Thank you Sir for the video. I have learned alot. I also have subscribed. I looked forward to watching more from you. I also appreciate your witness at the end.
I'm looking to get a b14 hunter in 300 win mag. Heard a lot of good about this rifle and I think your review has sealed the deal for me. Thank you man!
Good video from down to Earth hunting perspective. I am getting ready to buy my third Bergara. Bought an HMR and just decided I wanted something more well rounded(NOT 13lbs). Bought a Wildernes Ridge 20"- installed Sorbathane pad, Warcomp, SWFA 3.5-15 and Talley mounts- perfect! My son chose from my closet for his wedding present and took that one! :) I would grab a Hunter in 243 next but want the threaded muzzle, so a B-14 Ridge in 243 looks to be next. Will wear a Nikon Monarch 4-16SF Mildot. Can't wait to heal up so I can get it and go shoot. I do not hunt anymore but love to shoot and want something that I could hunt with if I wanted to.
Looking at the wood stocked version, the Timber. Knowing those two have the same barrel profile, 10 twist, and at 20in, I'm sold. Looks more than adequate for a suppressed hunting rifle.
Just got my first Bergara B14 in 22.250, I'll agree with yo 100%, best trigger, best smoothest trigger, most accurate out of the box I've ever owned. I own several Remington rifles, the Bergara beats all,,,3 shots all touching at 100 yes,I will own more before long
I've got an old 700bdl in 30/06 that will do the same thing. It will poke all three rounds into a single jagged hole. I always let my barrels cool for 15 minutes between shots to let these skinny barreled guns have time to retract from the heat. This is exactly how I do it and it works.
Have had my eye on the Begara for sometime now. And the Hunter model is the one I want. I can’t figure out what caliber to get as I have a 700SPSin .308 varmint. It has a 26 inch heavy barrel and it shot Federal Gold Medal Match bullets at 3/4 MOA out of the box. Even with the crappy trigger it came with. I’m wanting a.556 bolt gun but they don’t make it in that caliber. I have the AR rifle in that caliber.
You are right about there not being many reviews about the hunter version, but plenty of HMR. I’m guessing maybe they came out around the same time and that’s why. Both sub $1000 rifles but for hunting purposes I’d say this rifle here is one of the best sub 1k rifles available. Many complaints about the savages and the ruger Americans are just eliminated when you pay an extra ~$300. (I.e. poor flimsy synthetic stocks, rough actions, MOA claims)
Im glad i went ahead and peeled off the extra cash for this one. No complaints here except they should include the mag conversion from the start. I just now got one. Much easier to load of course.
@@southernarsenal908 I’ve been looking at rifles a while now, this one seems like the obvious choice. I know I’ll wish I had gotten it if I go with something cheaper. But I’ve always loved a good top loader, but you hit on the action size and I think that may kinda ruin the fun for me as well.
I've got three savage axis rifles all shoot sub moa with factory ammo. I found a bergara b-14 in 22-250 I want. But I also found a b-14 in 243 so I come across this video. Looking for reviews and opinions on the bergara rifles. Great review.
Love the B14 but the hinged floor plate has to go. I do a lot of deer drives were you are constantly loading and unloading. Anyone no we’re I can find the conversion kit? Having a tough time trying to locate one. Thanks
Nice video. Yea I don't think I wouldn't like the fact it doesn't have a clip to insert. Looks tricky to load ammo and the bolt angle unsure if I like that.. nice gun though. I was looking at the remington sps 700. So it's identical to the bergara?
My particular rifle likes Hornady Whitetail Classic best out of production ammo. With Winchester Power Points running a very very close second.. BUT, every rifle is different. They can be same make, model, barrel length ect. Even color lol, and shoot each ammo differently. What works best in mine may not work best in yours.. by all means sight in with the ammo you intend to use..
Got one in 6.5 prc I can get 1.25 moa at 100 with both Hornady eldm and eldx. Wasn’t real impressed. Before the break in I was getting 3” moa. I was impressed with bergara willing to make it right but I decided I’m going to get a new stock and carbon fiber barrel to make it lighter and hopefully more accurate. I’ve seen and heard much better with the same rifle so I assume I got kind of a lemon as well.
These are standard 1”Leopold rings. The scope is a Vortex crossfire 2. .4-12-44..nothing fancy or too big. Remember, all accessories for the Remington 700 will fit on the Bergara B14.. they have the exact same footprint.
I just shot this exact rifle this week. Instantly thought to myself.. "Great, now I need to get one...."

Hey, send that comment to Bergara!😂😂 maybe they will appreciate it . Lol.. kidding. Thanks brother

There’s no possible way a savage axis shoots moa. Literally the biggest piece of shit rifle ever made.
@@Brandenuzis I've got 3 of them all sub moa rifles with factory ammo. They actually shoot better groups with factory ammo than my bergara does.
I have the begara b14 ridge in 308 and my tc compass is in 6.5 got many of deer with the 6.5 shot through the neck use a leupold scope
I love mine.. it's a tack driver...
He must’ve got a lemon.I have 3 bergaras. I can shoot 10 in the same hole all day. $600 and it’s 1000x better than my $1200 savage 110

I bought a Bergara ridge 300 Winchester mag. for $540, from Dicks as they were selling out of there guns, regularly $800. unreal as i scored big!
Awesome video, I just put one on lay away
Curious to how much it weights with the full setup, maybe even with a bipod how much it’d be
I had the same problem out of a savage .270

Did you ever experience with a Tikka T3x lite?
The b14 hunter you can get in like .270 .308 .243 30-06 6.5 Creed and 300 win mag I’m pretty sure
Just a better model of a mod 700 bdl

It’s a cheap one from Walmart . I think it’s an Allen

It came with it. I’m actually looking for the magazine conversion kit now but it’s still on back order..got one and wanna trade?

If you’re asking where to buy them at? Only place I’ve found them is Bergaras web sight and they keep saying on back order/out of stock.
For 2022 b14 hunters are cerakoted. Previous they were blued.
I bought this rifle in November of 2021. I dont know exactly when they started cerakoting them but THIS one is cerakoted.
@@southernarsenal908 seems right. They started for their 2022 line. I prefer that personally
