    Moral of the story: don't get emotionally invested in a gun that you have never shot before.

    It maybe possible that you received one of poor quality or I received one of great quality. Mine has been accurate from day 1. The trigger is heavy, and there is a small bump in the reset, but it has fired everything I have fed it and it has been inside 3" at 10 yards since I purchased it.

    • @southernarsenal908
      @southernarsenal908  Рік тому +1

      Or it may be that you got a “one” of a kind. Not to mention all the issues i found with it, just the slop in slide to frame fitment makes it a dangerous handgun in my book. Very poor quality. And i feel it was thrown together so S&W could get something competitive out on the market to stay relevant with the other brands producing hi capacity micro handguns. Either way, it cost about 150.00 more than either production model Glock,Ruger, even their own shield plus, Hellcat, Sig ect… i dont know about you but im not paying more just to settle for less…

    Actual Moral of the story, don't compare a 1911 style gun with a 1911, because it's not. It was made for an entirely different use case.
    You can't be mad or upset that a gun that's not the same as a 1911 because of your own personal preference.
    It's a great gun that serves it's purpose well and has many better features than a 1911.
    The fact that it wiggles a bit and that's what's bothering you is hilarious because 1911's do the same exact thing, I'm sure you just never bothered to check because your a die hard fan.
    It's not a competition gun either so of course it's not going to have same reset, and the fact you can't handle the safety on the trigger with your giant fingers and can't seem to position your hands on one correctly is your own fault.
    We call that operator head space.
    It's also a fraction the price of most 1911's so it's obviously not going to be the same quality.
    I could buy two or three of these CSX's for the same price as one 1911.
    If you can't shoot a $300-$500 gun, you don't deserve to have a $1000+ gun.
    Practice, get better and then try again.

      Actually, it was marketed as a “1911 style” handgun so one would think it should actually be a 1911 style handgun. The hinged trigger is the problem there. Giant fingers!?? 😆😆 i wear a size 10 ring dude. Very normal unless youre just that feminine to think a size 10 is giant? And the “wiggle” youre referring to isnt just a little wiggle!! I have several 1911 handguns and NONE of them have the SLOP this pistol has in the slide to frame fitment!! None. Period. And this handgun is nowhere even close to having “many better features” than a 1911.. only pro it has compared is the ability to rack the slide while in the “cocked” position. I appreciate your input but you might wanna be better educated next time before telling me the “actual moral” of MY video sir . Its just like i said.. S&W was in a hurry to produce something that could compete with todays hi capacity micro 9mm market… and the failed..have a great day

      Amen...slide-to-frame tightness has a minor contribution to accuracy, and the CSX shows it. Along with your suggestions, he needs to get out to a range and shoot the pistol. Sitting in the living room and fretting about clicks makes less sense than comparing it to a 1911 because it has a hammer and thumb safety.

      @Steve-xl2mn brother, I shot the hell out of this pistol! I don’t just sit in the living room and bitch about them without knowing what my actual gripes are.

    I have a CSX and mine isn't anything bad like you described..the trigger tests at 4 1/2 pounds and I have no false reset...you have to release the trigger all the way out in order to fire...my trigger gets looser after each mag fired..shoots like a dream with no problems whatsoever...you just got a dud when you bought yours...I paid a little over 500 bucks for mine and it came with the carry pak...to each his own but your evaluation is not fair to a good gun...I'm an undertaker so quit smoking or you aren't going to be around to shoot many more guns...

    I really wanted to get a CSX, and as a left handed shooter the ambi controls would have been
    a bonus. I watched all the csx videos I could find and the concensus is almost always
    the same. I guess I'll wait fot the CSX 2.0 performance division edition. Hopefully it'll also
    have a da/sa variant.

  • @jeffmcclendon3835

    Too bad you got an early version CSX. The latest ones do not have the false reset since Smith and Wesson actually listened and redesigned the firing pin safety plunger which corrects the false reset. The false reset was not caused by the trigger safety blade. The latest ones also have different magazines with dark blue followers. These magazines fit better in the mag well when they are full.
    I got lucky and picked up a slightly used CSX for $299 at my local dealer. BEFORE I bought it, I checked the trigger weight at the dealer. 5.2 lbs and made sure it had the newer mags and the white firing pin safety plunger. Your beef about the pivoting trigger………I own 1911s and I own or have owned micro 1911s like the Sig 938, Sig 238, Kimber Micro 9 and Springfield 911 which like the CSX all have pivoting triggers that look like they are straight back classic 1911 triggers.
    I’m glad I did some research and found a great deal.

      I've seen a number of videos on this gun and nobody mentioned the trigger being anywhere near that heavy. Re-watch the video, he said that he didn't have a trigger guage so he was estimating the trigger pull weight.

    • @southernarsenal908
      @southernarsenal908  Рік тому

      Well, if you watched the video youd see that i said THIS one .. not ALL. As far as the most “up to date” piece of firearm machinery…… step away from the pipe dude!!! Maybe you should send it back for me? I see no reason to pay over 600.00 for a new firearm just to have to send it back to be repaired. If i had wanted a repaired firearm, i wouldve bought a used one!! Just like i said, S&W was in a hurry to put something out, anything just to try and keep up and shot their own selves in the ass doing so. Quality control is NOT there on this firearm sir.Hope that is your “pronoun”. But i do understand your defending them.. im sure you sold many aluminum cans and gave countless liters of plasma just to purchase your csx and being that its obviously your first and prob one and only handgun without a bull on the grip, i understand your feelings got got hurt by an honest review. Sorry to have gotten your literal panties in a wad Nancy!

    I had really high hopes until I handled one last week. My hands are in rough shape and unlike my 2 Walther PDP's, the controls on this pistol were impossible for me to operate. Guess I'll just find the right holster for my PDP F-Series and wait on something thinner to be introduced. The Canik MC-9 would probably work but I'm holding off buying it for now.

    I have seriously thought about getting one. The only thing I don’t understand is why S&W try to make the Trigger look like a 1911 Trigger, but it’s not at all. It’s hinged.

    It would be cool to see you being able to DA it in the half cocked position to keep that short throw of the trigger. Theres so many cool things that couldve been done with this. I was gonna buy one because i saw one at one of the country boy stores here and it felt great in the hand and point aiming along with the controls, but after doing research im glad i didn't get it

    I don't remember it being called a "1911" apparently you assumed that. I went to a LGS to buy a Sig P938 Legion and they had a CSX right next to it so I compared the two, I looked them both over and the Sig appeared to have tighter tolerances but not by alot. I liked the grip and capacity better on the CSX, but the sights and Legion perks made me pick the Sig. It's been about 4 months, I don't regret it.
    However I will keep a eye on the CSX, as it is on my short list of pocket /deep conceal pistols. Good video, thanks for sharing!

    I don’t want to sound rude, but if you won’t carry because you don’t trust this gun to save your life! Yet you smoke cigarettes that just might give you lung cancer that WILL KILL YOU! Heck, I don’t think you need to worry about getting shot and killed, when you don’t care about lung cancer. Sir smoking cigarettes Sucks! Life is good but you need to take care of it. Sorry for my advice and I hope you are not offended. You are the first person I have ever seen on UA-cam smoking.

    • @southernarsenal908
      @southernarsenal908  4 місяці тому

      I appreciate your concern about me smoking. Had this video been about what type cigs to smoke i could see your point more clearly. But since it was intended to WARN other people about a firearm they trust their lives with, i felt compelled to put out this video. Everyone knows that smoking can cause lung cancer and other illnesses , its no secret, and youll never see me condoning smoking in one of my vids however….. not everyone knows this particular handgun is a POS and could get them killed because of their false sense of security concerning this handgun. Hence the video sir.. again, thanks for the concern. And im sure since you felt compelled to comment on something not related to the point at hand, surely you subscribed to the channel??
