      Sorry to hear you had no visible positive effects on your plants but it does act as a pesticide as well for soft bodied insects . We all have different cultural practices and it is difficult to see a change in growth in such a short period and as a qualified horticulturist I know the science backs its use case . Thank you for your feed back .

    One of my hard canes has a major new growth. Along w/this the leaves on 2 of its canes have yellowed & dropped. The positioning within the pot indicates it will be due 4a repotting. Should I wait till spring 2 repot & leave the leafless canes there 4 now ? South Florida here.

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany День тому

      They should be in constant growing mode in your climate , so you can repot these any time of year there. I would also leave the leafless canes attached until they go brown and dry out . They can still flower and produce keikis .

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany 2 дні тому

      it will help to keep the acidity levels lower which does slow the decomposition down a bit but it can also clog up the media if in powered form . Charcoal will also help slow the decomposition slightly

    I am still figuring out what my plants need for winter. Our conditions outside keep changing and so temperatures next to my windows do too. I am trying to be careful not to allow for soggy or moist roots during cold snaps. I go by the weight of the pot, mostly, to decide if they need water, and by the leaf or bulb conditions. I have humidity trays, seedling mats, heat lamps, and temperature controlled space heaters. My windows are lined with bubble wrap, which I chose for its ability to trap warmth during sun exposure. It’s a bit of an adventure, but I think I’m up to it. It’s kind of fun!

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany 7 днів тому

      if you are watering regularly you don't need to soak as your media will still be partly moist . You can soak if you like 1 to 5 min is enough . If your media is parched and not moistening then leave it in until it does moisten up , with some barks it can be up to 30 min , but I would never leave longer than that . I hope this helps 👍
