Thank you for that info. Yes I prever a good orchid feed. I do have worm casting available to me, but it's not enough feeding for my plants. My flowers was not that much. And they did not last very long. So again a good orchid fertilizer is all and all best.
I am glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. It's all about finding what works best for you and your orchids! 👌💕Thank you for watching we really appreciate your feed back as everyone can also learn from your experience too . Thank you 🫂❤️

Obrigado, nós realmente apreciamos isso. 🫂💕 As orquídeas fazem todo o trabalho duro e eu levo todo o crédito haha😁 . Tenha um Ano Novo cheio de beleza e bênçãos ❤️❤️❤️
First of all... I wish you a great 2025! And I will continue flushing my orchids with tap water from the Vienna Woods. Storytime: I have two almost similar looking Phals like you, the one with the red/purple veining. Bought them at different times in different supermarkets, discounted and with unrecognizable dry flowers bc of their beautiful decorative pots. I was very surprised that they survived and even more when they first rebloomed as I wouldn't have bought this flower pattern. They differ only a little bit in the 'lip shape'. For a short moment I was questioning myself why I bought them till I remembered... the pots. As I nick name some of my NoID Phals their name is Bonnie & Clyde (the 'bloody' veining)😉Many regards❣
😍 I love that Bonnie & Clyde . I think the majority of these Phals are no name brands now . They are producing them in such a vast array at such speed there is no time left for them go through the process of naming all of them and often they are not stable so can not be named either . It is always wonderful to hear stories like this and that you managed to get poor sad plants to rebloom 🫂💕❤️
Honestly, I think I'm getting enough cal/mag and trace minerals from my balanced fertilizer. I don't use epsom salt. Should I be using it ? Actually, I think you just answered my question at the end of the show.
remember mag in this form is very soluble and will wash out after the first rain , it will get into the ground water and pollute the water . Not many soils are mag deficient so the addition is generally not needed . 😘
@thenaturecompany There seems to be a cal/mag supplement mania right now. I supplemented my Phalaenopsis with it regularly last year and now I have signs of what I guess are other nutrient deficiencies and the dark pitting that can be a sign of toxicity. Am I correct? I would so appreciate a video on overuse of Calcium and Magnesium. I appreciate your approach and common sense way with orchids.
You explained magnesium deficiency, would you be so kind to explain iron deficiency? There is only a small difference to see in the leaves between those two. I can’t remember what it is. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your feed back we really appreciate it . That is a great suggestion for a video . If you have been over feeding with anything you can recover by flushing properly .

Ok I have learnt my lesson 😂
we don't know until we know and now we know 😉
I only use it once a month on our whole garden.

@thenaturecompany thank you. Good to know ☺️
❤❤❤❤
thanks 🫂😍
So no need to use Cal Mag?
if your orchid feed has it in and you are using tap water then often there is no need unless you start to notice deficiencies 👍
