Every single spec sheet I have read states 51hp. Not saying you are wrong but manufacturers should really get this right. Kove doesnt seem to even know how to report the weight of the bike.

it might very well be 51hp. In Europe in order to get a licence plate it has to be euro 5 that they only offer it at 42 hp. Then you can add the upgrade kit. As far as I know the factory pro doesn’t meet emissions so it can’t get registered for road use. But as you said the whole spec sheet looks vague

CRF300L Definitely loses at any direct comparisons of these bikes. If the Kove was sold with a Honda badge nobody would even bother to compare them against each other. I would have a hard time buying the CRF again now that the Kove is available with everything needed straight from the box. Kove does still have some proving to do in customer service, parts availability, long term reliability etc. but the bike from few hours on the saddle feels awesome. In my opionion Kove is the best dualsport straight from the box on the market today for a few reasons: + Descent wind protection + Stability at higher speeds + Good adjustable stock suspension + Excellent ergos + Plenty of power to pull even on mountains where the CRF300 definitely is lacking. + Best fuel range compared to almost any bike let alone a dualsport + Feels much more nimble and light than it is on paper - Engine a bit more tricky at very low rpm's - CRF seat is a bit more comfortable - Dealer network is not exstensive at least here in Finland

Kove is 2000km interval. Normal riding probably easily extended to twice that which is pretty much the same with my CRF300L intervals.

Interesting comparison of it being like the mod'd 300L but w/ a lot more power. That's saying something that has teeth & I can understand. I've not seen any of these in the US although I'm sure some are filtering in.

True. This test was already in the quick ride but I wanted to release it as a separate episode too. Algo hates short videos as average view duration is very poor but I feel like this is interesting data that nobody is reporting so I’m still gonna do them 🫡

The thing I learned very early on making videos is that I'm never gonna make the most cinematic, well narrated or fun videos on this platform but one thing I can be is honest to my audience. If I say something that is not true it's because I've made a mistake. I will always try to be brutally honest but fair cause that's one thing I can control ☺

@@Jesus-eu4gn This place is not that remote. Houses and roads are all over 😊 If I’m remote I wear enough clothes to stay warm enough to walk very long distances if needed.

@@PatchedBandit cool! So do you have any tips for us using lead headlights and eanting to buy a light tower by adventuremencave? Hyperflashing is the issue and im wondering if I'll add a resistor or replace the relay flasher if i can find one. TST has a relay flasher but the shipping is expensive

@@PatchedBandit - I was expecting that the Kove was a low version considering that you didn't mention that the bike is too tall 4 you. Compared with the Yamaha Tenere 700 ( my bike at the moment and she is not too tall for me) the kove is taller or just lighter and easier to maneuver.?

I've owned the T7 myself and the Kove even at this high version is much easier to maneuver. Coming to a stop is not as intimidating and the weight is carried very low as the front tanks touch the skidplate. I was very surprised that I could ride the bike as easily as I did. The tallnes on paper is not something most people need to worry about if they have a bit of experience. This being said taking all the potential out of this bike requires a much better rider than myself. This bike is a serious piece of kit cabable of a lot more but also easy enough to ride as a dualsport machine for most people.

At the time of this video I was using the dji wireless mic 1 so I sometimes recorded 2 audio tracks and combine them to signle mono in edit. This was possible with the mic 1 but unfortunately now the mic 2 that connects to OS 4 without the receiver can only record using 1 mic input to the video track. This micht change with the OA5 release as Pocket 3 already can record stereo with 2 microphones. I can't remember if I used the backpack mic recording this video though.

The more you ride the more these things happen sooner or later. First of the year even though I ride in the winter too ✌️

Its a 13L tank 😄 The amount of fuel you can put in when it's installed should be the measeurement used.

Pirelli MT21 front Michelin starcross 6 rear. Rear still has some tread left so this is why the missmatch. I have an mt21 rear waiting to be put on.

550 performance has separate but similar mods for the 250. Check the website and ask them via e-mail if you are unsure. I believe the airbox mod was much easier on the 250.

I thought about the transparent option a long time too. I think the black one does visually go a bit better but I get the appeal of the transparent option too. It looks more like 'rally' bikes do and you can see the fuel level through it so.. But the black one looks more like it's an original part of the bike. I think the cap goes in super easy if you just twist it counterclockwise until you feel it drop in to the threads and then close it down.
