I primarily see loads of expensive gadgets prone to failure but with very limited all-day use. But hey, the market obviously wants this kind of gadget-rich, expensive bike. Hence I really like your review, especially the reference to HD. 😉
Great point. It's definitely not for everyone but as a tech marvel I like the fact that we have Mercedes still making the S-Class and BMW keeps making this wonderful tank for us to marvel at 😆 I can easily see myself buying one of these one day but it's not gonna replace my offroad bikes 😊
I really like the path they are taking with this design and how it looks. No I don't. like the headlights, but it was the same with the older model as well. It grows on you. As an Adventure Touring bike with a little bit gravel every know and then. This is probably it. Thank you for making this. Great footage. and really good VoiceOver
Yeah I agree. One thing is for sure. We recognize this on the road pretty easy just like the old one 😄 I'm horrible at voiceovers but I tried my best to get this thing out asap 🙂 Too bad I can't ride one yet as it's already so cold here.
Yes, same here. I can imagine people saying the same thing when bmw introduced the asymmetrical headlight many years ago. Some people just don’t like change. Personally I love the new design. The only annoying thing is that I had decided against a big GS because of the size and cost and now they release this beauty that is lighter.
@@simulacrae we are on the same page about this. and I really like to see what BMW can make of this in the years to come. No doubt that it is a strong contender in the market, but still would wish they focused more on lower weight than higher ccm
Way too heavy for my needs. Way too expensive - I'd rather go travelling ;-) My Boxer friends remind me: Never buy a brand new BMW construction, always the last year of production. They bought a 1250 GS and a 1250 GSA this spring. No problems. Maybe I'm not the ideal BMW buyer, I may sound a tad pessimistic. But I do admire the technical challenge of making a GS better after 40 years of finetuning. Looking forward to the new small & light enduros at EICMA Milan like Beta Alp 350 LC. Absolutely. It is a feat of engineering this new one and its interesting to wait and see if there are any issues with realiability. The old one was an incredible bike already so can’t wait to do a Quick Ride episode with this new model! Waiting for some options for light adv/enduro bikes too 😊
@@PatchedBandit Please ride the new GS. It looks like a logic development. And yes, maybe you should believe the hype. GSes have always lived up to high expectation. Günter/Nürnberg PS: If there is no real interesting new light enduro for me at EICMA I might go your way: CRF 300 L with Rally Raid suspension. If there was a CRF 350 L, though... ;-)
This is something everyone "knows" when it comes to BMW, never buy the first model (you will be a beta tester) I hope this is something they will make even better in the years to come, but also way to expensive when you look at some of the other great bikes on the market today. Competition in the market is always win win for the customer 🙌🏻

I did try to ask if it would be possible to ride even soon before the winter comes. It depends on the weather though 😕
