Based on your review of the Snell 3.0, it seems like these 2 balls are pretty comparable with the edge of short game spin to the pro air, and driver distance edge to the Snell 3.0. Any thoughts on which ball you think might have an overall edge between these two, as you describe both balls as ‘soft/er’, but realizing the compresion is higher with the 3.0. Thanks for your thoughts!

Watching your swing, it also looks to me as if you are set-up a little closed from the hips down. Basically you are somewhat set-up to hit a draw. Try opening up your stance a little. Might help. Sometimes the issues we're having are somewhat minor. Good luck Sir. 😎

How about providing a chart on your web site showing the top 3 balls for the swing speed ranges of 65 to 75 mph, 75 to 85 and 85 to 95? I'd like to see a comparison. Perhaps you could break the selected ball out by 2 piece vs. 3 piece. Please share a link if you already have this and I just didn't see it. Thank you. I love your common sense approach.

I think you could run that driver head, just change your shaft. The shaft or ball is the culprit of the spinny floater shot, not the head. I got a PXG 0811 this year and Im absolutely loving it. It is hands down the most forgiving driver ive ever hit, and it has the exact same dull muted sound.

I have owned two of the 0211 drivers and they’ve been excellent. They don’t cure a hook though.

So right about the Kirkland ball. While I, too want for it to succeed (price point). Howerver, I definitely see a loss of distance when using it.

Definitely love checking out any golf ball, like you stated, its all about paying hugh money to get you're product out to the public, and to be honest its pisses me off that these companies think the customer's are that uneducated, im in my late 50s and my swing speed isnt what it used to be, , but like every other club golfer our ego gets in the way, if i chip in a prov from the bunker its the greatest golf ball ever. but I'll never do that twice. try to figured out who you are as a golfer , no expectations and keep an open mind,please dont drink the coolaid, the hype isn't all that ,in any product, i watched a bunch of video from Don Snell and i believe hes an honest boss,who puts out a decent product for a decent price. He explains about compression and spin ,distance. how a core of a golf ball works, of course he owns a golf ball company, so hes trying not to go out of business because there talking about making a ball that only goes a certain distance, which is absolutely reduiclous to me, there's numerous factors why golfers are trying to reach the green from the tee box.the golf ball is just 1 piece to that puzzle.Anyway thanks for your time and review , open mind we might learn something if were not brain washed.

I read a lot of Reddit about draw bias drivers fixing people’s slices and changing the game for them. The Ping 425 comes into conversation a lot. Me… only a year into it and game the lucky 13 Nike Sasquatch and the only wood I hit good is an old Callaway 7 heavenwood. We’re making it work 💯

Callaway Rogue Max is best for me.

I'm currently without a driver. My swing has somehow changed recently, and cannot seem to hit straight anymore. Not sure what my next step is, and might just take a break for a while. Plus, it doesn't help that it's 200 degrees outside here in Central Florida either. Enjoyable video though with good info. Thanks.

I highly recommend Mizuno ST-G 220 (9*). It has the fully adjustable weights and I can set it to 11* which closes face and still hit fades by setting weights to fade (my miss is pull hook naturally). I hate loud and it's not that loud outside. I paid $230 shipped new with Hzrds Blue in early 2023. eBay listing for head only is $90+$11 right now. (Also $190 new with shaft.) Get that and sell the X...you can set it to draw when you want that. I play Srixon Z-star Divide b/c I tend to spin driver below 2000. I think you would like this driver a lot with Q-stars...smash factor in the 1.45 range with 15* and 2000 and your carry will be more than the total on the PXG. I used my previous non adjustable driver for over 10 years and it still is at the legal COR limit...I don't believe there is that much to be gained dropping $$$ on new drivers. Recently found your channel and enjoyed Top 10/20 & Overrated.👍

Great job with the Top 100. Really enjoyed the vids. Picked up a few good suggestions I plan on trying. I see myself as and average golfer with an above average swing speed (110-115). What would be your top suggestions for fast swing speeds, as I am a bit concerned with over compressing.

I'm 7 HC and my club head speed is around high 90 to low 100. I played Pro V1x for years and just like you said trying other golf balls became the biggest challenge. I finally switched to Bridgestone Tour B-Rx last year and it took me around 1-2 months to get used to it, but once I trusted my new golf ball I never look back. Any other Bridgestone ball such as e12 is exactly what u mentioned. I do also agree about Kirkland ball.

Yep, Snell were allot less durable in my testing too. GREAT FEELING AND CONSISTENT but not as durable. Here in Australia the previous model is on sale at $192:80 [AUD} for 5 dozen, no returns, normally $241. They even cite the fact that they had a tendency to cut up. In my humble opinion the Vice Pro is the best DTC ball on the market. And personally, I preferred the old design on the snell ball, the new modern iteration just looks sterile.

I agree about fitting. I've already shaved about 6 strokes consistently after my fitted purchase, but there is still a ton of work for me to do. However, it is nice knowing that when i do step up to the next level as a golfer, my driver will still be more capable than me. I have had my eye on the paradym since it came out and I picked that up at a large discount thanks to the Smoke. If i hadn't gone that route i would be looking at the overlooked brands for a driver. Like Wilson, Srixon, or Tour Edge Exotics. I also found that i hit the Stealth line pretty well. You may also consider the Cobra Areojet since their whole claim with that driver was club head/ ball speed gains.

I like the balls I find in the woods. I don't care what it is when the ball is free i don't worry about woods or water or anything so my mental game is better my game is better

I try others ... Mizuno, Srixon, Snell, Vice, TaylorMade, etc. and while i like all of those I still always go back to the 50 Elite.

Go checkout the new Mizuno ST 230 Max driver. It is not a draw biased club but yet very forgiving and the best part is it just dropped to $299 yet is a 2024 release. You can also still get fitted for it as well as I just got mine from Golf Galaxy.

My whole set is PXG. Gen 5. Love them. 2 years ago I won a sweepstakes full set, fitting. Customized completely and paid nothing $13,000 value.

Cobra Aerojet is worth checking out. I think a used one is 150-200 bucks.

I’m currently playing this driver. Mine is 43.5” long and has 12 degrees of loft. It’s a fairway finder. n.b. When you adjust the loft on this driver it opens the face on all settings.

You would love the 0311 gen 5 you will get the distance back

Finding the right golf ball is a complete black hole for most golfers I feel. And it's very hard to find decent information on what the best suited golf ball is if you're not looking in that Tour level, insanely expensive tier. I think that's why so many people love the Kirkland. It's not because the ball is good, it's because they want the ball to be good. Everything I've read about it though that looks at numbers says it's trash, especially from a QC point of view.

8 handicap i play only triad and staff model. 100% agree with assessment that you lose A LOT of distance on mishits with irons. Not too bad with driver, but the 4 iron gets punished bigtime. Still love these balls, though i will mention that the wedges really do eat through the cover. Balls are good for 1 round and maybe a practice round after that.

Absolutely love the ping g425 max driver that I got a couple months ago. Doesn’t sound good like you were saying but hard to knock off points when you hit almost every fairway. If you look at the old 425 ads, it has 10k moi just like the new 430 max 10k. I finally broke down and bought one and I don’t feel like I’ll have to upgrade drivers for 10+ years

I live on a golf course and play with balls I find in my yard. It doesn't matter what ball you hit except a real hard one. Titliest 1 is still the best to me and I have played them all.

Pxg 0211 is an excellent driver

Can you do a video suggesting which ball is best for each swing speed. Seems to be really complicated with 3 peice 2 peice 4 peice balls and compression factors.

Hate to sound cheap or oversimplify but wouldn't it be easy to see if lead tape on the Mizuno's toe area might lessen the draw/hook bias?

No because it's not the clubs expensive new or cheap 40 yrs old it all comes down to the golfer if all this new expensive equipment with all this technology works then how come the 90 percent of us still shoot 100 plus it's all a marketing ploy for them to make money...

I game PXG irons, driver and 3-wood. Recently upgraded to the Gen 6 XF driver/3-wood from the Gen 4 and am really loving the forgiveness, accuracy, feel and sound. And the Gen 6 equipment was all reviewed very very well when it was released two years ago. Now that PXG has released a new driver line, Gen 6 drivers can be had for $450. I have it set up for draw-bias and it is unbelievable the yardage and accuracy I get on mis-hits off the toe and heel. Can't recommend enough. Got fitted for all of it, which was both fun and super super helpful in getting the most out of the gear. Good luck with the 0211! It's a great club for a great price.
