    I’ve tried most of the top of the line golf balls there are. The Vice Pro is my favorite ball there is. I think it’s perfect. At the right time of the year you can find them for 30-32 dollars a dozen. With the urethane cover this golf ball is as good as the ProV’s. Yes, they are! For $25 less dozen. Can’t beat these balls. Excellent video. New subscriber.

    I bought two dozen of pro and tour. Taking turns using them. Early into it but Tour may seem more forgiving. Def getting more distance on both as I have been using Supersoft for a least a year now. I’m 55 and have gotten some 260 drives with these balls. I averaged 225 with Supersofts Two years removed from a kidney transplant. Pre transplant I was averaging 260+.

    Switched to Vice Pro a month ago and have shot my lowest rounds of the season. The 90 compression rating works for my game. Came close to breaking 80 again yesterday with the Vice Pro. Shot 82 with an eagle and birdie on the card. They fly far with the driver, irons feel pure and soft off the putter. Just a fantastic golf ball at a great price when buying bulk. I want to see a Vice Rapsodo partnership for the off-season.

      Thank you very much. Honestly it blows my mind not only how much some golfers are not honest with themselves, but even honest with others.
      Ive seen guys at work who go play alone and come back every single time and tell me they shot two over or three over, then occasionally I will go play with them and they shoot 23 over. Funny how that works

    I played last year's pro soft for a few rounds. When it was cold out here in Cali it was like hitting a rock, but I tell ya, once it got warm holy smoke that ball flew off the clubs mostly the irons. I guess I'd buy them again down road. I'm still a Srixon fan

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 місяці тому +1

      I could see them being harder when it's cold. They technically aren't really that soft in the grand scheme of things. In the cold I would want something like a duo soft or soft feel.
      I can't wait to test the q star tour again

      As a St. Louis golfer, I started playing a lot in the winter this year and last. The DuoSoft, Wilson Zip, Cut Red, and the TaylorMade Soft Response all felt great (and played really well) when I played in the 40-degree weather. The SuperSoft and Soft Feel felt weird in the cold...not just hard, but also weird, which surprised me a lot.
      Really like the new TM SpeedSoft since it has more greenside spin and am looking forward to trying it this winter.

    Great stats! And thanks for providing club speed as it shows a good ratio between that and ball speed.
    Although the Air is great, I'm a little torn between that and the Tour, mostly for the price.

      The tour reminds me a lot of the pro. The driver reminds me a lot of the air. I'm still really impressed with the tour though especially for the price I think both are worthy of trying out

      Please let me know how it ends up going. Also please check the alignment tool on the side and check which model it is. Rounded is 2017 and rectangular is 2019. If it has the arrow styling it's a brand new one.
      The only reason I bring it up is because the older ones are pretty good but the brand new ones are incredible.

    • @zwaager
      @zwaager Місяць тому

      @GolfBallAddict it's the rectangular alignment tool. The ball has a nice feel but I prefer the softer shell of the TP5. I recently picked up another box of Kirkland signature balls, same model year as the last pack and the shell doesn't have the same soft feel. Seems odd. Need to keep trying different balls. TP5 is my current favorite but too expensive to play all the time. As a mid to high handicap with 110+ swing speed, I'm struggling to find the best ball for me that's a reasonable price. Maybe the vice pro soft. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

    The Vice Pro is my go-to ball. I can't tell the difference between it and the Pro V1, other than the price. I have used the drip, but they are harder to find in the deep stuff, which I find all too often. I use the white and the green, but I also like the shade a lot.

    Hi. Great review. Unfortunately, my English isn't that good anymore. But I'll try. I played the normal Vice Pro for 3 years and was super satisfied. Play HCP 5 with a swing speed of 91mph. Last fall I tested the old Pro Plus and was impressed by the spin in the short game. Also the stopping power on longer iron shots into the green. Now during the season I notice that with the Pro Plus (old model) the irons are on average about 10m (12 yards) shorter compared to the Vice Pro. Even more so with the long irons. Sure, the Pro Plus produces more spin and the trajectory is much higher. Now the idea is to go back to the normal Pro to the new model. How does the new Pro compare to the old Pro? In the video you said something about how the Pro Plus is much more forgiving. Can you give me a comparison Pro (old 2020) vs. Pro (new 2024)?
    Greetings from Germany

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  Місяць тому +2

      Thank you very much for your question. The Pro 2024 is definitely a little softer and more springy like off the club. like a bouncy ball. The pro Plus is very good on forgiveness, but so is the brand new Vice Air model and I seem to be having more success with it at the moment.

    • @21miwi
      @21miwi Місяць тому

      @@GolfBallAddict Thank you for your answer. But the pro is not as soft as the Air? The new pro is much harder from compression. Or not? The old Pro Soft was extremely long with the iron and felt great. However, in the short game I had no feedback and the soft was too fluffy in this area.

  • @potentiallyplaygood

    Your reviews are really making me think about changing balls. I've been playing the Pro and Pro Plus for a couple years, largely because of my driver swing speed (105-110). I'm afraid I'll over-compress the Pro Air, but if this new Pro is for "advanced players," it's probably not for me as an 18 HCP. But this is why we try them out!! (and watch Golf Ball Addict on UA-cam for help).

    I've been playing the prior version Vice Pro (2022-2023) model. I'm a 14 hcp with a driver SS @95 and 7i @80-82. My ball striking is like you said, ok.... I have a few dozen pro's to get through but next time they run a 5+1 deal I want to get some new balls. I'm torn between the Air and Tour. My chipping is pretty decent. Will the Tour give me enough spin into a green or will it just roll out like most non urethane balls? The price is really good but wondering if going from Vice Pro and Maxfli Tour will the Vice Tour hurt the game or help? This is the million dollar question.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 місяці тому +4

      The tour spins pretty well. If I'm being completely honest, the pro and the air would be a learning curve for me with chips around the green. I prefer to not have to come back as much on my chips, and the spin with those golf balls is so much you have to put a lot more speed on them to get them to go the distance.
      So yes there would be a small learning curve going to the tour if you're used to the spin of the pro, but it's not going to be so bad you can't stick a green. The tour stick greens just fine.

      Thank you so much for watching the video.
      I encourage you to stick around and hit the subscribe button. Only because I think you'll learn some brand new things about golf balls that you didn't know before.
      Starting with forgiveness on golf balls. It is absolutely huge. And I have the data to prove it. The two biggest dispersions I can think of off the top of my head are the old 2022 TP 5X versus the Wilson zip (40 compression)
      With a firmness of the tp5x, if hit really well, I'll get about 150 yd with a 7-iron for both balls. If I miss it one off the toe, the tp5x will only go about 120 yards. The Wilson zip however I only lost four yards with on average with Miss hits on either the heel or the toe. That's huge. That's 26 yards difference.
      Now granted every ball is different. It all depends on compression as well as the clubs you play also, but there is a notion and assumption by a lot of the public the golf ball forgiveness doesn't exist and I just flat out 100% disagree. Like I said, I have four years of data to prove otherwise. It's actually the main reason I don't play the pro v one anymore.

    I've watched pretty much all of your videos, and I like them a lot. But it's beginning to feel like you are working for Vice, or at least getting some kickback from them. You talk about with the Pro, it doesn't have very good forgiveness, but you still gave it a very high rating. In your past reviews, if a ball didn't have good forgiveness, it was it was MUCH lower in your list of 100.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 місяці тому +4

      I don't take money from golf ball companies for reviews. I had to pay $200 out of pocket just to get all these golf balls in and review them.
      Now to answer your question, golf ball forgiveness is a huge factor. That's why the vice Pro was the fourth in my list as far as vice golf balls tested. The tour, vice air, and vice Pro Plus all received higher rankings. Yes the forgiveness was not as good on the vice pro, but if it still breaks every record imaginable, how can I not give it a good rating.
