Finally got the chance yesterday to try the new vice tour and it’s perfect for high handicappers with high swing speeds like myself. It flies well in the air, it goes a mile especially with driver and it has good stopping power on the greens. Hit about a 120 yard shot and it spun back about 5-10 yards to my surprise. Feels great off each club and the putter. Highly recommend this golf ball!
Hey that's awesome. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback and watch. It is a firmer golf ball so the faster swing speed makes sense. I actually had really good success with it as well. It's really easy on the wallet and if you lose one it's no big deal.
Love this ball. As a high handicapper this makes golf fun again by staying out of the woods and going far. Stops well enough to hold a green. Love the feel. Thank you!!!
Just wanted to say -- you're the man. Thanks to your review I went out and got a dozen Vice tours...really fit my game well, and I liked them so much I even played them when I went to pebble beach with my dad! Wonderful feel. Will probably buy more. Keep doing what you're doing!!!
Nick, figures don't lie. Your reviews are unbiased. You give your honest opinion. Vice are obviously working hard on improving what they can. You used so many superlatives, if the next vice ball is better, how will you describe it? Thanks for a great review and looking forward to the next vice ball review. I have eye surgery tomorrow in Jomtiem hospital so maybe watch it a day or two later.
I've played the Plus for a couple of years now. A few months back I switched to the Air. I liked it but I do like a more firmer feeling ball. I am trying the Pro for the next few rounds. Then, I am trying the Tour. Great video as usual.
Wow!!! I thought the Chrome Tour numbers were impressive, but at that price point that is incredible. And it does appear you may be playing better as did not mention many mishits. Could you also note some of the swing speeds(at least 7 and drivers)? I think it would be interesting to see the ratios of swing to ball speed and how much that is affected, plus proving you can keep your swing with great results from the ball which is the ultimate goal.
Tried the previous vice tour model that’s right before this one and I must say I enjoyed it. I compared it with my usual Bridgestone e12 contact golf ball and I definitely got more distance than my Bridgestone ball since the vice tour has a higher compression rating. Since my swing speed is high, I need a higher compression golf but still have forgiveness to it like the tour does. This is my kind of golf ball. I look forward to trying to newer vice tour ball too! Also, I liked the feel of the golf ball too and got good spin on it still. Putting with it was nice as well.
It definitely is a firmer golf ball. Which is kind of cool considering its price point. Kind of a balance of performance and price for faster swingers. Definitely give the new one a try and please let me know what you think 😃
Vice tour is my favorite ball by a mile prior to them I was using chrome soft x ls. These are cheaper, I like the feel more and I think they’re more durable as well. My short irons and wedges get good height and my distance with driver is a bit more than it was with the chrome soft x ls. Really a top tier ball in every way
For sure. I definitely like this ball more than the 2024 Callaway lineup for sure. Vice made improvements while Callaway experimented with some questionable decisions
@@GolfBallAddict to me it feels harder than a regular chrome soft but also a bit softer than a typical tour ball. I dont feel it mush with my driver like a chrome soft but I feel some compression/springiness not like I’m hitting a rock. My 7i swing is 90 and I feel like I finally found the sweet spot for my swing speed plus the sound and feel off my putter is great. My driver is a good bit over 105 but I still prefer a slightly softer ball feel. I’m a fan of the chrome soft and the srixon soft feel but I feel like the vice tour goes further without really sacrificing any forgiveness
Hey mate thanks for the Review love them I'm at 87.5mph swing and looking for a new ball after Wilson shelved the WS Professional... Anyway thought I'd mention that VICE has multiple Alignment options in the Customisation section. Personally I wish the ball had None as I Putt with a Blank Ball only facing me if possible.
Thanks for the great reviews! This new Vice Tour and the Wilson Zip are my two favorites. My driver swing speed low 90's (I'm 60). The 2024 Tour has better check-up on chipping and is crazy straight off the tee. I still give the edge to the Zip, however, as it has such great distance and high launch that it sticks on long approach shots. And the Zip price is still unbeatable for the quality;. Hope they keep making it!
The zip is the all-rating king for forgiveness. I have never tested a ball better. The tour is probably around a 6:00 or 7 out of 10 on for forgiveness
Thanks for these reviews. We have pretty comparable distances, so it's really helpful. I'll wait for your Pro Air review, but for the price sounds like I'll be loading up on Tours.
Thanks for the review, I'm super interested in the 3 piece surlyn market, trying to find a unicorn ball with some check, durability, and a price point I can stomach. I would love to see this against the Maxfli Trifli, and possibly the Cut Color models. As far as the numbers, yes they don't lie, but also some things just work better for some people. Like me and drivers, I know that in theory they all should perform roughly the same, yet in multiple fittings, taylormade and Callaway just perfomed better for me.
I currently game the ERC (my personal unicorn 😊) and absolutely love the performance of having just enough spin and great distance/forgiveness. I'm getting some of these new Tours ASAP to give them a head-to-head with the ERC.
Do these go as straight as the previous year? Started using the tours but the previous model and my drives have been hitting the fairway often. Thanks for the review!
I think the accuracy has improved across the entire vice lineup for 2024. I didn't notice any major disparities in any of the models I tested this year
Absolutely. This year there will be plenty of reviews. I'm going to attend to review the majority of what we already have to see how they do with a new monitor
The entire vice lineup seems to be a little bit softened up from the previous model. You'll notice a slightly softer feel. You'll also notice a lot more bouncy ball effect. Ball really springs off the club well. As far as the performance, the new models are light years ahead of the old models. I absolutely love them. Please let me know any feedback you have once you try them out
I’ve played the Bridgestone E6 forever, as I found that it was the best budget ball for my game long enough, soft enough. How do you feel the vice tour compares to the Bridgestone?
The tour is going to be a lot firmer. You're going to be able to bend it more and it will have a little more spin and check up. But it's definitely a different type of ball. If you like the soft explosiveness of the e6, it might be a drastic change going to a firmer clickier golf ball
I've just started trying the Spalding SD Tour line. 3 piece urethane. It is a pretty solid ball and like $18 a dozen on Amazon. So far so good. The only negative is the cover is soft so if you're using a sand wedge a lot, it will scuff.
@@TS_EsquireI’ve made a few requests for this ball myself. He said wasn’t very happy with it and even broke one. I personally love the ball. After his top 100 I gave the Wilson Zip a try and wasn’t as good as the SD Tour
@@PJae00 Well, you can thank me for the Zips, even though you didn't like them. I started using them and loved them and recommended them a few times and then he reviewed them and they have caught on like wildfire on his channel. I suspect your swing speed is too fast for the zips. Once I started swinging faster, the felt too mushy on the driver. I think once he gets around to the Spalding Balls, he will like them. He might have just gotten a bad batch.

Took a bit of a gamble on the 2023 model on a 6 for price of 5 dozen deal, impressive so far for £17 a dozen. Find similar increased iron distance numbers to what you are finding here but it’s not just low spin rockets, you still get enough control with it. Durability is pretty average
I found the durability of the Vice Tours to be an issue. I find they cut easily on iron shots. I played the Pro and the Pro Plus and never had a single issue.
Hmm interesting. I know this might be a weird question, but are you sure it was the 2024 version? When I tested I didn't have any issues at all. Of course it's going to depend on the person, the day, the batch, and the clubs they're using. Lots of factors. I was just curious though
so stupid question how do you know which model you have. my wife bought me a box not sure how to tell the difference of the older compared to the 2024 doesn’t say it in the box
Not a stupid question at all. You can tell by the alignment tool. If the alignment tool has rounded edges, it's a really old model. If it's a block style, meaning rectangular, it's the previous model. If it narrows down at the end into an arrow, or I guess looking like the lead on a pencil per se, that's the new one.
I just don’t see how your reviews are relevant. 6800 spin with a 9 is not the ball, it’s your ball striking, even with your “game improvement” Hot Metals you should be at 8000 with your 9i
So a couple things here. Let's start with the 8000 on a 9-iron. You have to keep in mind that every iron set is lofted different. The game improvement iron says nowadays are much more stronger lofted than they used to be. This will increased ball distance but also decrease the spin. I don't have any issues with my ball striking. I've been testing golf balls with the hot metals for over 2 and 1/2 years and never once have even come close to sniffing 8,000. Maybe if you had a swing speed fast enough to really compress the living heck out of the ball, like maybe 110 to 115 mph like the pros, I can see that being a possibility. But I've looked at billions of data sheets over the last few years and I can promise you that the average golfer is not getting 8000 with a nine iron My golf reviews are directed toward the average golfer with a medium fast swing speed. I’m very well aware of the lofts/tech in game improvement irons, what’s the descent angle of your 9i then? Because that’s the entire point of game improvement, less spin, higher flight/steeper descent to stop the ball? The point is, using those clubs and giving an opinion of golf balls, especially the good ones/4 piece are completely irrelevant if you aren’t playing to the standard/recommendations of said ball. Just stick to 2 and 3 piece balls
