    Happy New Year and I welcome you back to my workout routine. I have been blessed to have been away on vacation with my Hubby and Adult daughters and their BF's and so other body parts have definitely had a different workout lol. We returned yesterday and this morning I knew I needed to get back on the workout train. I was so thankful for yours to be the first one You Tube algorithms offered me and NO I hadn't checked the length lol. It was longer than I'd planned for a first back since Dec 26th but I took the plunge and did the lunge (lol) and got it all done while having lots of fun !!! I know don't give up my day job right ? Happy Saturday here in cold Canada !!! Looking forward to more of these kind of workouts for my weekend ones. During the week I only have 20 ish minutes for a morning workout but on Friday through Sunday I make time for more.

    Hi Trish, Happy Friday! I really loved today's 4000 step walk! Thank you. I either jogged or did high steps during the intervals and I managed to get in 4800 steps to start my day! That felt amazing! I know putting these videos together must be very time consuming, so thank you so much! Yesterday was a nice and productive day. My mom and I ran errands in the morning, and then I put in several hours at the office in the afternoon. Today I have a few appointments and may watch the kids in between. I do miss them when several days have gone by without seeing them! I know you will miss your daughter when school starts up again, but like you said, they can't have too much time off or else the boredom sets in. Always nice chatting with you!       @lorifl9 Hello Lori. Happy Friday to you! I'm actually so confused as to what day of the week it is at the moment. The holidays really upset the usual routine! Well done with today's 2-mile walk. That was an amazing amount of steps to build up in that time! Well done 👏👏It really does feel great having almost 5000 steps so early in the day. I am glad that you had a lovely time with your mom yesterday. I hope that she is feeling better these days. My mom doesn't go out much anymore. She will be 93 this July. She still has a lot of her faculties but her memory is getting noticeably bad. I suppose that's to be expected when you reach such a great age. We are getting ready for some heavy snow that is due tomorrow and Sunday. We stocked up on supplies earlier this morning just in case we can't travel to the shops. We have been told that the schools will remain closed next week if the weather turns very bad. My daughter is absolutely delighted! 😄 I think i will get her to do some school work as they really need to keep themselves busy. Thank you for all of your lovely messages this week.     This was a lot of fun, Trish… thank you! 🙏🏻 Still trying to bouncd back from the bad back, so doing weights is still a bit slow and lifting lighter than I normally would. A couple of mods, I can’t quite do the deeper squats and the the bit of twists that seems to happen with curtsy lunges… well, I just a mire lateral move.       @tracysnordiclight Hello Tracy. You are doing so well to keep going with your fitness routine. It is very challenging when your body is dealing with an injury. I remember a few years ago, I had terrible pain in my left knee. I had to stop doing certain exercises to allow the inflammation to calm down. It took about six months for the discomfort to finally go away and a few more months before I could build up strength for certain lower body exercises. We have to be so patient and listen to our bodies. It can be frustrating as we want to get back to where we were.     My first kettlebell workout. Really interesting to experience. I got my 4kg from Argos so I think that’s cheaper than my dumbells . I loved the balance challenge on the single leg lift, the bottoms up. Always thinking about wrists. Lots of ladies break wrist bones in falls so I guess this goes some way to strengthening bones in wrist. Clever fun kit. Really enjoyed it. Please more !

It's so good for shoulder stability and strength. I do a lot of plank exercises myself when working out to help strengthen the wrists.     Hello Trish, Happy Thursday! I repeated this cardio class today and really enjoyed it. I added my 3 lb. weights for an extra boost and boy did that add to the intensity since the work intervals were 50 seconds!! I see from my comment last year that I had used my 2 lbs. without a problem. Maybe 2 would have been the way to go, lol. But it is good to push myself just a bit. I'm enjoying my time off, and I'm glad you are enjoying a more relaxed pace this week as well! Yesterday, I completed a jigsaw puzzle, so that was fun. Today I pick up my mom for a few errands, and then I may run by the office just for a bit to do a little of the bookkeeping, but I won't be there all day. I know, I can't believe it is January and the holidays are all over. It seems like Thanksgiving was just a few days ago! Oh no, I'm sorry the neighborhood fireworks kept you up on NY Eve! I hope you were able to get a good nights sleep last night! Yes, we are definitely the same in that respect, I just don't enjoy being up too late as I can really feel it in my body/mind the next day. I know events come up where you are sometimes up later than you would like, but if we can help it, we try to stick to a nighttime routine! I am looking forward to another year of working out consistently with you and trying to keep fit as I age.!💪😊💕 I'm focusing on getting the holiday pounds off, but I am committed!       @lorifl9 Hello Lori. Happy Thursday. Well done with this cardio workout again. You are doing so well adding your 3lb dumbbells to this one. I sometimes repeat workouts, maybe 4-6 months later and I do be delighted if I see a little bit of progression with my workouts. I am feeling a bit better today thank you. I went to bed on time last night as I had to get up early this morning for my you tube shoot for this week. It does be almost lunchtime by the time I am finished so not much time in the day to do anything else. I hope that you have a lovely day with your mom and get all of your chores done. I absolutely love doing jigsaw puzzles! I would love to have more time as it is great for the mind and concentration. Hopefully you won't be too long in the office so that you can enjoy your last few days before returning to work next week. I will miss my daughter when she goes back next week.     Hi, Trish… Happy New Year! 🥳 Hope you & yours had a lovely holiday time all in all! It was a strange one here, with my back still being a bit slow to recover, no working dishwasher, and sadly our elderly neighbor passed away. Kind of eanting to redial December and start over. 🫤 We had quite a bit of snow noe at new year turn, and we were out on a long walk in snow-it was magical. ❄️ Eager to get back on the mat here with your workouts! 💃🏻 This one was such FUN! I had to modify but a little (moves with a twist are still a bit tricky) but able to keep up!       @tracysnordiclight Hello Tracy. Happy new year! We had a lovely relaxing few days over the Christmas period thank you for asking. My daughter would absolutely love it if we got some snow here!! It is actually forecast for this coming weekend, right before they all go back to school! The temperatures have really plummeted here after our very mild days over Christmas. I'd say that the snow is picturesque to look at. I was very sorry to hear about your neighbour dying recently. I shall say a prayer for him and his loved ones. It's always very sad when a good friend passes away but it is very difficult around Christmas time. I am glad to hear that your back is getting better slowly but surely. Well done completing this cardio Tabata workout. Getting back to the strength workouts can be a little daunting especially after a back injury. Hopefully you can get your dishwasher sorted really soon. It is not easy going back to the old fashioned way of washing dishes!! Thank you for your message. Have a wonderful evening. We are bracing ourselves for the snow that is forecast for this weekend. We are now been told that the schools will remain closed next week if the weather turns out to be bad!! My daughter has her fingers crossed!! 😄 As if they don't get enough holidays. We stocked up on supplies earlier this morning just in case we can't travel to the supermarkets if it gets to dangerous to go out. I really don't like driving in those conditions. Roll on springtime, I say!! 😊 I hope that your channel is going well for you. It can be quite expensive buying the equipment needed for shooting videos. Having good sound really makes a lot of difference for your videos. I'd rather not wear my lapel microphone but the sound quality is so much better with it. Have a lovely Friday evening. We had a lot of fireworks to ring in the new year last night (Neighbors in surrounding housing estates) so my plans to go to bed early were shelved! I am feeling very fatigued today so I put off my you tube shoot until tomorrow. Hopefully i will get a better night's sleep tonight. I am like you i think that it's important to prioritise our sleep routines as much as possible. I called over to my mom for a visit today for the new year. It was a beautiful but chilly day.       @manymoms920 Well done with this walking workout Zoe! I love how the low impact workouts can shift the stiffness out of our muscles and make us feel mobile again. I often do a low impact walk or cardio class after a strength session to get blood circulating around the body. Great job staying for the cooldown xx
