Creative Training Hacks
Germany
Приєднався 1 лип 2021
Hi,
my name is Florian Puhani. I'm from Germany, born in 1970.
I consider it my mission to show you really useful exercise variations (almost) no-one has ever posted on UA-cam before -exercises you’II wish somebody had shown you earlier, because despite being unusual - or some might even call them „fancy“ - they simply work great. That’s the most important point for me. I promise I will never recommend you anything just because I invented or re-discovered it.
But still, I don't mind if you think of me as a bit of a training-nerd 😉
So please don't mind me, if I also present you (without recommendation!) the results of some experiments that in my opinion don't offer much additional value. Because someone might still find them useful. Anyway, you can also learn a lot from other peoples (almost-)fails 😄

Wow! Der letzte Lift war echt richtig gut! Klasse Fortschritte, Florian!
Danke, Sascha!

Pure strength here! Its so cool to see this style, considering its almost the opposite to how I usually do it, i couldnt imagine making it all the way up like this. Very impressive!
Thank you, Cody! Yes, I noticed your favorite technique is basically pure power. My guess is, our difference in lifting style may also, at least to a certain degree, stem from the difference in density and surface structure of our respective sandbags. I'm going to rewatch your stone lifting videos. Because right now, I can't remember how your technique for lifting denser smoother objects might vary from your power based sandbag lifting style. I'm more and more getting the impression that my 165+plate is actually a kind of hybrid between a sandbag and a stone.
That's awesome 💪💪
Thanks!
Glad to see Cody's book getting the love it deserves. His youtube is a great resource too.
So true!!!
I got it too. You should all buy it
Definitely!
😂😂Proving that men can also multi-task, excellent work sir.
Thank you, sir!
That’s practically an atlas stone lol. Strong work sir!
Thank you! Yes, this workmanship of not opening the original packages of sand and rather duct-taping them together all around renders the sandbag very dense and in that way quite similar to a natural stone. Andy Crawford told me that in the past he had worked with a similar implement he called "Frankenstone".
Steve Justa’s “Rock, Iron, Steel” , IronMind’s Sandbag Training Course ( by Brian Jones), and Dinosaur Training (Brooks Kubik) entered the training hall years ago, but I’ll give this one a look👆🏽🤙🏼
I am not finished reading it yet, but I can already wholeheartedly recommend it. It's very well and entertainingly written and provides you with a lot of practical, in-the-trenches insights 👍
🎉

Hahah YES this is the best thing ever!! 😁
Glad you like it 😊I'm only halfway through your book by now, but I can already say that it is very well written and informative, even for readers like me who have paid really good attention to what you said in your videos. I'm really glad to have all that priceless information also on paper now 👍
@creativetraininghacks thanks so much!! If it passes the test from you experienced guys then I know I did an okay job 🙂 I shared this on my page btw, idk if it notifies you haha, awesome vid
@@thestonecircle Thank YOU! 🙂With less than a year of sandbag training under my (non-existing) belt I wouldn't call myself experienced, though. So far I haven't gotten a notification. Not important, but I'm just curious: On which page did you share it?
lol good job ans shoutout lol
Hehe, thanks!
Sorry for maltreating this paparback copy! 😅
Yeah I was like … damn this looks risky , don’t rip it!!!! Haha good stuff man
@@StopTheDamnTape Thanks, man! Had I ripped it, I immediately would have ordered a new copy and deleted the incriminating footage 😅
Ich glaube dies ist die erste Variante im Internet wo jemand mit Buch in der Hand einen Sandbag schultert 😅😅😅
Das würde mich freuen, wenn ich in dieser Disziplin damit den Weltrekord halten würde 😂
@@creativetraininghacks inoffiziell bestimmt 😉😉😉

Yeah unknown strongman! Great set 🙂
Thanks!
75kg is crazy! thats more than i weigh (26yo male). really shows what humans are capable of.
Thanks! Well, to put this into perspective, 75kg is less than I weigh (ca.90kg). I can reliably shoulder my bodyweight by now, but I couldn't do walking lunges with it yet.
I love it! I'm definitely going to try the sandbag lunges now. Your strength and conditioning is something to aspire to, Florian!
Thank you very much for your motivation, Brice! Today I took these lunges kind of to the next level. I'll post a short video about it, probably at 13:00 EDT. And I'm really exited to watch you do them, too. I think you will like them 👍
It does look pretty cool, though. For real.
Thank you! 🙂
Can't wait to see how this translates to raw 😮
Well, I do have one example already of me being able to somehow save a shouldering attempt with 90kg that appeared to be utterly doomed. I am just hesitant to post it, because it looks so butt-ugly 😅
bro Was going all out today
Nah, I'm afraid I left some in the tank. Next time, though ... 😁
With your idea about how to make a suitcase a training device, I recently was at a yard sale and purchased one and I I'm going to put it together this weekend. I always love your videos
Thanks, I'm glad to hear that 😊I wish you much success with your suitcase. Here is how I initially had set up my suitcase Bruiser as a training device: ua-cam.com/video/oGrtAyhLJ98/v-deo.html But it didn't turn out that great, because one after the other the paper bags ripped, which made for an increasingly uneven weight distribution. So I redesigned the interior kind of like I designed my sandbag Floppy later, just without the coffee sack as an outer shell: ua-cam.com/video/PGjdD7gLhXY/v-deo.html So now it is practically a relatively loosly packed sandbag inside the suitcase, but, importantly, filled with cat litter instead of sand. The volume of Bruiser filled with sand would take a heavyweight strongman to lift.
You are absolutely correct, this combo is insane! haha, you are putting us all to shame!
Says the man who does more push ups and pull ups in five minutes than me in a whole week 😄
You're both animals! 😄
#veryyyy fitover50 😊 Das ist wirklich eine intensive Einheit gewesen mit 2 Übungen die sich glänzend ergänzen!!!
Danke! Ja, ich bin auch froh, dass ich mich da endlich heran gewagt habe ☺
#RingPushupGainz
Those second and third reps looked so easy!
Yeah, the thing is: As long as the grip feels relatively effortless, those are basically just slightly decline push ups on kind of parallettes. On real stable parallettes I could do at least 25 reps of them. Only when I have to clench my fists really hard in order to not break down it is kind of blocking the whole kinetic chain, and that's when the reps begin to feel and look laboured.
Where do you get the bands
I got these from Amazon as a set (from easy to hard: yellow, red, black, and purple). I wouldn't mind some more with strength levels in between the others, though.
Why not make it into a pendulum
Been there, done that: ua-cam.com/users/shortsY4sbjWhKXf0?si=ZvKjyZw7Gh5o8YfU Pendulum works fine. But I like the resistance profile of the roller version somewhat better.
Don’t forget you don’t have to go all the way to failure to maximize hypotrophy. Leaving one rep in the tank will be just as good or actually even better because it does not hamper the next exercise or training, giving you over-all more hypotrophy.
Well, both my wife and me still like to take at least the last set to failure or beyond. Don't forget we were "raised" as bodybuilders in the eighties, when RIR wasn't a thing yet 😅
@@creativetraininghacks haha indeed, you were already happy if you had one last BIR (breath in reserve)
@@willemkoning Exactly 😂👍
Just put it on a track or just place bars both legt and right. I think you’re up to something!
Thanks for the suggestions! Well, I guess I'll keep experimenting with it.
Starke Variation von dieser Position zu heben!!! Denke dass die Arme nicht kürzer werden mit dieser Variation 😅😅😅
Hehe, danke! Von mir aus dürften die Arme ruhig noch ein Stück länger sein 😄
well done
Thank you!
The spider lift! You made that shoulder look so easy haha
Haha, yes, it really looks a bit spidery 😁🕷 That shoulder did feel relatively easy, yes. But as far as I remember, this is about the same weight you shouldered a hundred times in less than two hours. Not sure it felt THAT easy to me 😅

A new creative training hack!!
Thanks! I'm thinking about composing a whole body workout just using the sloped board and the roller, to make the most of that elaborate set up.
@@creativetraininghacks that's gonna be awesome!
It's so impressive you can do this without any momentum
Thank you! I will apply (and need) momentum, though, when sooner or later I'll try to skip the lap.
Auch von mir DAUMEN hoch!!! Klasse Leistung, Florian!!
Danke, Sascha!

Danke! Das werde ich ihr ausrichten 🙂

Hehe, true 😄
Starke Frau! Klasse Leistung!!!
Danke! (Hab's ihr auch ausgerichtet)
Looks tough.
Especially if you've never done it before, it definitely is.
Easy!!!
Yeah, it looks like at least 3 RIR 😄 The next progression will be to tie down the bands around my feet, the same way I always have to tie them down around my wrists, instead of just stepping on them, which will make for considerably more resistance in the top position.
This man will eventually find a way to lift a mountain.
Well, maybe a mountain of papier maché. I am used to bulky objects by now 😂
Creative Gainz!
Thanks! Well, creative - I guess, gains - I hope 😄
Well done man! Can’t beat a one motion to truly feel like you’ve dominated the weight! 💪
Thanks man! Couldn't agree more! 💪
