I bought one form a seller saying @Tested@ but the drive motow doesnt spin up (the latch is broken too) any ideas if the motor isnt spinning? I greased up the laser motor & tried it with the laser in the out position & it moved it to the centre fine.

Hi! I have a French Atari 7800 with RGB SCART output. The picture flickers on my LCD TV. The image is correct only on TVs with an RGB SCART input that I tested. I'm thinking of buying this converter, connecting the Atari 7800 RGB SCART and having the converter give me a YpBPR signal, since my LCD TV has a YpBPR input. Is my reasoning wrong? I believe with this converter I will never see a flickering image again.

Also when taking out the glass tube it should be pushed back after released and lifted up in front. there is a rubber washer in front of the rubber on the glass tube. i place a little ball in the midle of the spring made of ruff steel wool witch stop and catch most tinn before it hit the back plate. drilled 5-6 1mm-- holes in for better suction flow. Each ting i made a change to made it better and better.5 year now and the thin metal tube inside heater broke.Next one will could last longer since i will not have to labor to get the tips of clogging etc. do to 24 volt know and just 18 volt as new. They work fast and loose with data that make these.

Have a ZD-8915 with 24 volt 90 watt heater in the desolder gun, while 915 have 24 volt 80watt. i see and heard they used the same supply on many models. Heard the heater get only 18 volt do to a resistor on psu. My fan is same size and is 36Volt fan it get 12 or 18, cant remember.. and not 24 volt on heater just 18. best thing forcooling was to put the fan with a 5 mm spacer in one corner on top of psu cut a hole in the metal chield around it. so now it blow down into the psu and since it is lifted 5 mm it also blow on the pump motor sides. A strange phenomen is if the power button is off on the station the display blinks 1time every 5-10 min. Like something discharges to earth?. strange. Also drilled holes down on the side where the psu stands. Tested with DMM K temp probe on power supply heatsink and one aped to another solid state compnent. This got it way cooler. 40 degree C to 50 C on hot days max.

Thanks for reminding me to actually check the purity rings on the pc monitor I just got, since it has two corners out. I was gonna order a degaussing wand but I really should do my due diligence first.

Hello friend, I have a question regarding whether the jitter disappeared when removing resistor 063 that you show in the video. I have two TVs with ba-6 chassis with this jitter defect and I would like to try it.

Great video. I managed to do the same mod on an AV36020. Did you run any resistors for the sync? Think my jamma output is too high and making my TV cut off.

Was about to buy a Wakabavideo transcoder, but this has my interest (a 1/3rd the price, and offers a SCART, which I could potentially use for connecting my SNES, Genesis and Amiga!). Question is, will this work with GroovyMAME and the CRT emudriver to get 240p on my Sony KV-27FS12? (I already have a PC with Radeon card outputting 15 KHz). What's the video quality like, I saw some comments about rolling interference, what sounds like a video ground loop. Does yours do this?

*Update* - Turbo Core is fine, adjusted screen settings in Core. Smooth as silk...Still have issue displaying out HDMI to 1080p TV..assume I need a 4k for that....ah well, getting another MisTer, this is too good. "Seeing some shimmer on games that scroll vertically on the Turbo Duo core (example : ua-cam.com/video/xbYo98No4IY/v-deo.html). But played other cores and there's no issue"...wow this is insanely great. incredible quality picture overall. Any recommendations or suggestion on Turbo core appreciated. Thanks for documenting this.

it's still hard as fuck to take the tube out in the new gun. also the new units no longer have that box in the back with the 2 resistors. The fan still shows 18v, but the vacuum is running at 14v.

bought one of these, works well with my Amiga 500 NTSC with a buffered vga out, doesn't work with all TVs but when it does, it's beautiful, and most modern LCD TVs will deinterlace.
