Thanks, I have a soft spot for them since I had one as a teen. Was alot of weird games on the system, alot of bad games too but some gems as well.
Great content. I found this very interesting as the 3DO has always been a mystery machine to me, there was never official distributor in my region, you could only get it imported by brokers. Although I did play Super Turbo a few times at a video game shop that had one on permanent demonstration. I was impressed, before the PlayStation and it was the only ST port that existed for a long time. Have a good one!

I still have my FZ-1 I bought on clearance back in the late 90s. Absolute tank of a gaming machine. I have it connected to a Panasonic 42" plasma TV in a spare room. That TV doubles as a space heater - lol ! I have few original 3DO game disks but mostly play burned CD-ROMS. Might have to look into this ODE thing. Great video!!
Its pricey and I forced myself to get it but glad I did now. I too had a book of burnt disks and a couple originals. Its so nice to not have to mess with cds now. I had a plasma 10yrs ago or so, they were crazy heavy as well. I never understood how such a relatively thin display weighed so much lol
What kind of disc's do you use for backups?
I've tried maxwell and verbatim and my fz-1 doesn't like em.
Maybe I should clean the Lazer or find some knock off cmc taiyo yudens ?
@@nopenada2271 I used a mixed bag of Sony, Memorex & Verbatim. IIR, I used IMGBurn and selected the slowest speed to create the .iso & .cue files.

Just wondering if you had power issues with this before the capkit? My 3do is basically going black with no sound. Power light is on but nothing on screen after a few minutes

Yeah that would be awesome. Ive heard someone started on the core but if its true it could be a long wait but would be nice to have on mister with rgb/ 240p / hdmi all already baked in.
