Startup crt arc to ground. pvm-20m2u

Brought back a sony pvm-20m2u from the dead but front panel board is not functioning. I think I know why.... Have a replacement front panel board but need to fix this crt tube ground arcing issue. Sony dropped the spring loaded grounding strap for these grounding fingers that just connect/touch the aquadag tube coating on 2 spots at bottom of the tube.
Im hoping these fingers are just oxidized and need cleaned. Anyone experience this before?

Solved by cleaning/repositioning the tube grounding finger tabs and soldering a chassis grounding wire directly to them.

Update...
Cleaned the fingers with a swab and 91 iso alcohol. Got rid of the problem about 80-90%. Just a small static discharge spark now.
Swab accidentaly rubbed off some aquadag so need to find a suitable aquadag type product to brush on under those grounding fingers.
The 20m2u pvm is alive and well otherwise

I heard it popping so recorded and played back at a slower speed to find what was arcing.
