Now that is some picturesque scenery and in the meadows very near Mt. Rose and Mt.Houghton to your north. Nice bike and hike trail system there. Two thumbs up for the trash picking up Doug! Boy it must really snow there in Winter if the highest mounds of snow are still there. Granite boulders strewn about due to ancient glacier activity. They are the remains from earthquakes due to faulting that occured 24 million years ago plus, distubing the huge Tahoe area batholith. Your close up of nature in the Tahoe area's alpine wilderness is fantastic. This sure beats the basin desert heat. Thanks you two!

@@rhondaz356 Hello Rhonda, perhaps I should have more correctly titled this video " Winter's Snow in Summer". It has been so hot, I am trying to provide a public service to cool everyone off....if only in our minds. The sparrows are so trusting and cute, no cats allowed near them ...amazing that half their brain can go to sleep while they are flying on long migrations (heck, our truck drivers seem to be doing that already....we shouldn't be studying it in order to promote this, ha!). The subscriber donated some things to the museum including some older historical film reels (more on that later as it develops). The Corn Lilly has a white flower later in summer common to the Western mountains....they remind me of Socrate's favorite: poison hemlock. No luck with the butterflies getting filmed, but better luck next time. Will be spending more time in the mountains as the desert heats up. Thank you for the kind words! 🇺🇸🐦📽️💙

Hello Steve, and thank you. Well, being a Westerner, living in the West, how appropriate....culturally speaking anyway, to see posters of wanted outlaws out in the mountains of the West. Some things never change Steve. 👍😎🇺🇸

Hi Brother Doug and Kellie! Nice relaxing and cool video, maybe a little too cool for Kellie at first. I see even the ducks love Kellie's cookies 🍪 ! I'm glad you pointed out the Water Ouzel, I was actually looking for one in that scene, but I don't think I would have spotted him, he really blended in. I think they are fun to watch. Loved the butterfly and the flowers too. And the scenery...oh heck, I guess I just plain love nature! Thanks for dragging us along 🙂 🇺🇸

Hi my Brother! Well I just had to keep sending scenes of coolness; cool creeks, frigid lakes, leftover snowmelt, even coolers full of cold trout....anything to help cool you off down there in the Mojave! I bet those Water Ouzels NEVER get hot though. We're going to keep dragging you up into the mountains until that desert settles down. 🇺🇸 🍪🧊🥤🐦‍⬛

As ALWAYS, I marvel at the gorgeous scenery you encounter, on your adventures. Not only do we learn new things, but we witness so much beauty. Though I have never been on a fishing trip, I realize it is a passion of so many people. At least they were going to consume the trout. I have a friend who enjoys the process of fishing, but always throws the fish back in the water, immediately.🙃 Well, it looks like Kellie's chocolate chip cookies garnered new fans.🍪🍪😋 This was so relaxing, and enjoyable, Doug. I come away entertained by the content, the gorgeous views, the serenity, and what I've learned that I never knew before. Thank you, so very much, Doug...another winner... There's something about the sound, and the power of rushing, gushing water that mesmerizes me.🤔🤗 🌊🎊🌞👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Rhonda! Happy you enjoyed the scenery and our adventure. Many fisherman do "catch and release," the ones who enjoy the fishing experience and revere the older bigger fish....it is as if they take pleasure in letting someone else catch the big fish another day. Also, some are fishing as an excuse to get out in nature all day. Who can blame them? Then again, being able to catch a fish to eat is a good skill to have especially these days of high food prices. The area is so pretty near June Lake all one has to do is point one's camera lens in the clean clear air and viola; a masterpiece! Kellie is an amazing cook; fare that is healthy and includes good taste. The American Dipper is the resident of all the clear unspoiled western creeks. When you see one of these birds you know that the water is not polluted because these birds require cool clean water 🌊. Always nice to read your comments. Heads up Rhonda; we should be heading up to the mountains more as the desert is starting to heat up for the summer. 💙🍪🇺🇸

@@CalNeva Thanks so much for the explanations about fishing. I never though of the WHYS, people fish before.🤔👏🏻 I love your comment about pointing the camera lens. It certainly is true.🌞 Yes, it's an art to make foods so tasty, and also healthy, as Kellie does.😁👏🏻 I don't know if I had ever even heard of the American Dipper. That's fascinating, Doug.
