    What a lovely adventure this was from beginning to end. I really enjoyed that touch of Winter, from afar.😉The ice-skating, to the cross-country skiing, in such a *desolate area, was so enjoyable to watch, especially in the Spring. To see that noone else had been out there ahead of you, adds to that remote, wilderness feeling. **Thank you, Doug for always adding tidbits of interesting info. I'm sure I am not the only one who learns from them. It must be so great to find a nice, knowledgeable companion who enjoys the same activities, as you do. Once again, we're rewarded with a super video.🎊 (I think it's very wise to have another person along.) YUMMY, that lunch that Kellie brought looked absolutely scrumptious. (We might be getting snow this Thursday.) Have a wonderful day, Doug... and, thank you.

      Hi Rhonda and family! Glad you are all healthy, and that you were able to come along skating and skiing with us...if even only in spirit...at least it is warmer to watch from your house. Look at all the critters I was able to put in the video this time, those kicking calves were just wanting to play with you so bad! ...and the vultures could always pay you a visit if the east wind hits too hard. Hope it's the last time you guys have to break out the old snow shovels! ❄️☃️🌬️🌀🌡️🌨️☁️🙈🙉🙊💯

      @@CalNeva it really was. I’ve always loved the Rubies, Lamoille, and the surrounding towns. I am planning to move up that way by August. Much more affordable, beautiful, and all around better quality of life! You definitely need to go! And yes, I’m looking forward to spring and summer too! Take care and catch y’all on the next one!

      @@CalNeva thanks, Doug. It’s been a long time coming. I realized things are not gonna slow down here in Reno and I’m not happy with the direction in which things are going. It’s basically a mini LA to me now and I hate it. I’ve always wanted to move out that way and have been trying for the last 10 years. I’m turning 39 in a few weeks and I just don’t wanna sit around and wait for things to happen anymore, so I’m gonna make it happen! Hope all is well with you guys in Hawthorne.

    Again, great scenery, missing it. Cross country skied for decades, before and after dislocated patella then, hitting deer on m/c. It's only a blink in time now before Spring. Preparing for it.

    Hello Brother Doug and Kellie! Wow, you kids really packed a lot of exercise into one day, I'll bet you guys were plumb tuckered out by the time you got home! I was puffin and pantin just watching you. I love those boulders and the wind in the pines sounded nice.
    It seems like Kellie can do just about anything! Even makes her own cheese 🧀 besides making what I understand to be the best cookies west of the Mississippi ! Not to mention ice skating, snow shoeing and skiing.
    We always had those huge flocks of Turkey Vultures on the western foothills of the Sierras, and if there was a dead cow in the pasture, you wouldn't believe how many would gather round for lunch ! It was quite a sight.
    Glad you and Kellie had fun, I had fun watching 👀 ! 🇺🇸

      @CalNeva  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi my Brother! Kellie is sure a handy pal to have on outdoor adventures...she will even go fishing. As Tim said, the "Turkey Vulture Tornadoes" are a sight to see. Kellie used to have a big garden, a country homestead, and at one point had a lot of chickens and dairy goats...so of course as you know anyone with those or a milk cow knows how to make homemade cheese. I suspect she can engineer a train too...but she has not let that come out in the open yet, but she sure can drive! I was more tuckered out than she was that day. 🇺🇸🌬️🛌🛀

    I had to put a jacket on watching this. I guess everyone else was at home in front of a nice warm fire in their fireplaces, but why waste the last of Winter, go ahead have some fresh air and fun! You two are cute together on the ice. Steve from IL
