The snow is so pretty. The horses are so beautiful. Pretty place there. I played a woman's softball tournament in Lake Tahoe back in the 90's. Those mountains with snow on them how pretty. Thank you for taking us along. I love it! Have a great day.

    Hi Brother Doug and Kellie!
Nice trip as usual. I was surprised the snow wasn't deeper than it was. Somehow I was expecting something like 6 or 10 ft. What do you think? Was it normal for that area this time of year?
Glad you guys got to do some snowshoeing before summer.
That crazy traffic in Reno though 😳 ! The last time we went through there was in 2016 on I80, and we encountered some road ragers too! Give me the wide open desert roads any day!
Glad you and Kellie had fun and made it home safely to the wide open spaces! 🇺🇸

Hi my Brother! I think the snow is the usual amount, nothing out of the ordinary. I thought it was a lot less than predicted, but nothing will top last year! It's true, Vegas has nothing on the hot heads behind the wheel in Reno...perhaps they are heading back to the Bay Area? We like it back in the quiet areas and open roads, so much more relaxing. 🇺🇸🏂🚙

Wow - the new completed 180 looks great. And much quicker to get from Reno and around Carson City instead of going through it on the 395. I ran the Silver State Marathon around Washoe Lake. What I remember most from that race was the guy with the emergency stomach problem evacuating along side the trail. Just small two foot bushes here and there so he had no privacy with crowds of runners passing by looking at him. 🤣😂 11:54 you can see how flat it is out there along the lake. 😂🤣
The state museum in Carson City is worth reviewing. I have a one sided silver coin made from one of the Xed out Carson City (CC) silver dollar dies they have on display. I had it attached to a silver money clip. They had someone at a private mint in Nevada City use their die to make some for the gift shop. As I recall at the museum there was a shotgun special made. Made for someone who wanted to bring down large numbers of migrating birds at (Mono Lake?) on a bet? That's how I remember it. Awful by today's standards.
George Whittell sounds like a good citizen donating land for the high school. One of my ancestors in Thatcher, Arizona donated land for the cemetery and what is now the community college.
Another great adventure by Doug Berry and Kelly of places few will ever visit.

**This is such a relaxing video, filled with interesting tidbits of information... I have always noticed that people like that pleasant, Park Ranger are not only so knowledgeable, but also eager to share their expertise with others. It's very refreshing. 🤗👏🏻 Thank you both for taking us along on your journey. Seeing all that lingering snow as Spring arrives is an eye opener! From getting a glimpse of your yummy, looking lunch, to your snowshoes' experiences at the lake, was so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you so much, Doug and Kellie, for including us on your trip, and sharing your backstories' info with us.

Hi Rhonda! The Ranger really was pleasant and full of information about the people and events in our past. ..can't wait to tour her garden spot and share the sights with everybody! I got more horses for you and the cute little foal...they were rambunctious that little peppery herd of sagebrush rascals. First day of spring was perfect sunny weather here in Hawthorne. Had another fan visit today from the Mt. Shasta area of northern California...which was a blast. Should be a nice New England spring with dogwoods soon for you (alas, we don't have those here). Happy spring!🌿🌱🪻🍃☘️

So interesting your corner of the world! Love the history and the historical places you stop. I like how you tap into the knowledge of the local park rangers. Looks like you all got the cold weather and snow this year. Here on Marylands eastern shore we got little to no snow with moderate temps.
I’ve customers in Fallon and love exploring Nevada. So far I’ve been to Rachael, Hawthorne, Reno, Carson city, ash springs, Vegas, Alamo, Virginia City and Fernley.
Safe travels and may god bless you and Kellie.
