Sometimes we fnd unusual and amazing places virtually in our backyard. Your very lucky to have that nature reserve so handy Erik. Glad you could get out and enjoy the day and bring us along on the adventure. Thanks for hiking the covid trail mate. Bushyboy Oz.
Great vid, just discovered your channel and subscribed. Love seeing the Aussie bush while in lockdown in Melbourne metro. Something to look forward to! Eagles nest was cool.
Hi Eric, really great to see some local content. I spend each morning on a different part of that river with the kangaroos and wombats, very peaceful way to start each day. Subscribed and looking forward to checking your other videos 🙂
Love the Toaks pots got same one. Great to get out from lockdown just managed my first overnight but looks like we back into lockdown in Vic. Just subscribed to channel.👍👍
Good to be back outdoors :) Nice to have such a great area so close to home. Another trip where you could have used a packraft! You know you want one......
Gaitors? Gaiters? Not sure on the spelling. Great idea. Snakes... it's the one you DON'T see that gets you. Great general protection for the shins too. Great to see you out & about. Have you fished in that river?
Thank for watching and commenting. The spelling is gaiters and yes they do provide extra protection for the shins (one of the reasons I wear them). I haven't fished that river yet, but might pack the rod next time I'm out that way! Cheers Erik
Thanks for the video. Always good to hear the black cockatoos. The kangaroos were probably appreciating eating green grass rather than drought dry grass.
Thanks for the entertainment Erik. I am waiting for the scientific evidence that shows sleeping in a tent miles from the nearest person risks spreading the virus.
nice one mate. good to see you can still explore something close to home, Keep an eye out for those snakes. Was in Tassie a few years ago, it was like only 15 degrees, thought I'm not gonna see any snakes. Boy was I wrong, nearly stepped on a 9 foot Black Snake.
I use an app called Backcountry Navigator Pro - I download maps and imagery to my phone and the GPS doesn't require phone signal. I also carry a Garmin inReach explorer + which has GPS and basic maps. Use this as communicator / backup GPS device incase my phone should fail.
No not really - a lot of places are still closed because of the fires. That being said - camping just about anywhere would be great at the moment. Thanks for watching
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing
