The return of the King 👑 Good man Erik 👍🏿 I wondered when you would upload again. Entertaining and interesting. The bush is an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to your next adventure mate.
So good to see another video from you Erik. I can understand the pressure of putting together content when you also have a life but I think you need to get into the bush more often to de-stress( not necessarily documenting it for your fans) as you were looking a little stressed this time. Luckily conditions in the bush are more favourable lately for getting out there. Looking forward to seeing more vids from you when you get time later this year. Ps. Hope your nephew appreciated you making the effort to leave your camp early to get to his birthday party!
Completely out of the ordinary I was thinking about looking up your channel to go back over a previous trip you made when up pops a new one to satisfy my quest. Thanjs Erik welcome back for 2023 may we see more of what you choose to do. Bushyboy Oz.
Great to have another video from you Erik, and you treated us to a whole hour 😁👍 I know those feelings you mentioned about feeling guilty for not posting, wanting to make good content not fast content, etc... and yep, you've made the right choice if that's what you want to prioritise. I'm still coming to terms with letting the guilt go. Loved seeing your indecision about where to camp too, haha, glad it's not just me that spends far too long deciding and then running out of light to cook 😆
Hey Erik! Just found your channel. I can’t wait to catch up on your videos. I just started my solo camping UA-cam channel and love watching these type of videos while out in the bush. Beautiful scenery mate.
However many trips you put out is no worries to us Erik, we're keeping an eye out for them anyway, love the effort you put into each one and the Aussie bush you showcase👌
Awesome video Erik. Bloody gorgeous bit of country too. So good knowing there was not another soul around and just you enjoying the serenity. Quality over quantity has my vote... just make videos you want to do Mate and we'll all tag along an enjoy them too. Cheers Erik 😎
Good to see you out and about. I know what you mean about time and effort producing videos. Doing the trip is exciting and fun but editing videos can be a real drag at at times. Safe travels mate.
@@ERIKOFFTRACK touch wood, but good not to have where you live engulfed in choking bushfire smoke. Rather sobering to remember it was twenty years ago since the Canberra fires.
Good to see you back out again mate, been a while between drinks. I got into the habit of keeping all my hammock gear in 1 canvas bag along with a "canvas small tools bag" from flea bay with spare pegs and cordage so I could just grab and go. As for the mixing element of dinner, it all mixes in your belly!
G'day Eric, nice to see you back in the bush. Always great to see a fellow Canberran enjoying the awesome countryside around here-swamps included 😛 Looking forward to your 5-6 videos this year, it's the best hobby in the world I reckon ✌🏻
Hi I have a Opeongo tree tent (two trees only needed and up at waist to chest high off ground and lays flat, ton better than hammock) and can be free standing tent in the ground when no trees
Great to see you punching out another video mate. I've been pretty slack myself and haven't done anything video wise. I've even behind on watching Scotty's videos by about 5 or 6 vids. Currently watching you on our new 75" tv and it's pretty awesome. It's like watching you at the cinema 😂 Anyway, I'm only up to the part where you're looking for a spot to string your hammock so, I'll get back to it and edit this later if I need to. 😃
Man seeing that gas cooker wobble around, could of been a bush fire in the making. It’s summer now in nsw and total fire bans are in force, that means no open fires and no open flames including gas burners. We need to be smarter this time of year and work out other ways to eat in the bush. But that psa aside great to see you back for another adventure man thanks for sharing
you dont know where he was, when it was recorded or what the fire restrictions were for either. It's summer but that doesnt mean a total fire ban everywhere. He was being responsible, and knew exactly what we was able to do within the rules of the park to the point where he was within a few hundred metres accuracy to where he could and couldnt have a fire. The stove was stable, and if my guess on where he was is correct, he was totally fine using one.
Hey mate, I appreciate/respect the sentiment, but I love these places so do my best to exercise common sense and follow the rules. At the time of filming there were no fire bans in this location or anywhere nearby and nor had there been recently either. The ground was also damp/wet, the grass green/damp and there was no flammable material in the vicinity. Further, the wind was very low and the ambient temperature was in the low teens and rapidly dropping to single digits. I also had water available. In short, I was very comfortable that it was safe to cook. If I felt it wasn't - it would have been cold food for dinner.
@@ERIKOFFTRACK sorry wasn’t trying to accuse you of any wrong doing and should of worded my comments better. Clearly you were in a very green area, I just see so many people head out into the bush and light the biggest fire they can and then leave the next day without putting it out.
A treat to see you again Erik. Love the modesty & humour you always bring to the bush!
Great video as always mate. Completely underrated channel and up there in the top 5% of Camping channels.

It's always a great day when you post a new vid. Love the area you're hiking through. Those huts are an amazing bit of history.
Good stuff mate. Much admiration for your skills with the camera.

Great video. Thanks Erik. I love my Helinox Zero - unless I particularly want to drop pack weight, I never go hiking without it.
Yep, I think it will come along on many more adventures
Totally worth the wait please keep them coming Erick i really enjoy all your content '
Good to see you’re back mate
Good onya Erik 👍
I like when you were walking here with the deer running around sometimes, but we don’t get to see Roos

Haha don't know if I'd be any good at the cinema, but glad your enjoying the vid, sounds like the new TV is pretty ace too. Cheers mate
👍👍👍
Hi Erik, I enjoy your videos. Just wondering how often do you see snakes on your adventures. How many have you seen (roughly)? Cheers
Hey mate, yeah see them quite regularly, but not every trip. Except for one trip where I saw more than 20 (nightmare stuff) usually only 1 or 2.
Wow, interesting. Cool mate, thanks for reply.
