I'm 15 and I was very worried as my eyesight has gotten very weak but let me tell you today was the first day I tried this and I can already see few results I also did some exercises. Day 48! The candle was at the same distance as everyday but for some reason it seemed far away! I saw the light forming nice long starry tails! At some point it seemed as if the candle was drowning and I felt I was drowning with it into a peaceful pond of truth. I mean I could see some truths that seemed hard for me some time ago but now I could take them peacefully by just letrung myself go!
Best practice for a beginner .... i tried so many tutorials but it was too hard for me to concentrate. This is the very best practice for someone who wants to start meditating. Simple but very effective.
Day 34! The light for a good moment seemed like a little lovely winged angel, like those you see in U.S.Christmas movies. While meditating on the flame. I thought on how we hold on to the idea of people and loves based on who we were, who they were back then (in the past) and based on our projections (dreams) of the future. Nothing wrong with it except when current reality does not fit into that. How important is to release and let go and how hard, too! Also, only today I noticed that it is three deep breaths and not two before we start the practice. Also I noticed thay despite I took longer in setting the candle, I had enough time to do so and even get to pay attention to the number of breaths we started with. I mean time was enough to set up the candle, remove my glasses and even close my eyes and calm my mind to pay attention to the number of breaths, thing that I did not notice before! Namaste!
This tutorial was absolutely fabulous. I have tried tratak before but couldn’t stick with it consistently. Your pace, voice and the background music along with the instructions make it super pleasant and simple to follow. Really appreciate this video. Thank you so much!! 🙏💛

After 3months I will go to eye checkup then only i can know where its working or not. But I am going to continue every day

Thank you, this was so nice and calming! I had never realized how difficult it is to not blink so often and my eyes got really dry, so I did have to blink a few times. I believe this will get better with practice. Also, because my eyesight is so bad, I moved closer to the lamp, at an arm’s length I can hardly see the fire 😅 I will do this for 22 days and hope to improve my focus and lessen stress!
Day 4! "La prueba de fuego" is a phrase in Spanish to actually prove something works. Now it's literal, here! Yesterday qas not simple lack. Intention and practice male things easier. Although some thoughts made my head wonder today, my eyesight was fixes on the flame. I blinked much less than the first and secind days and my eyes did not get watery, nor itchy or burning despite being more open and for longer than in previous days!
This was truely wonderful. i have practiced this meditation earlier a few months back but it felt so much more better this time. There is so much positivity in the way you speak. Surely going to try for 21 days. Thank you Satvic Team :)

I came to Trataka with an open mind and have been trying it for about two weeks. My eyes certainly feel more relaxed and stress free than they have for a long time and seems to bring subtle changes to your vision. Will keep it up a bit longer for sure.
Day 30! I'm glad that the continuous practice of this excercise is enhancing not only my intuition to see through people and situations (although at times I can't pinpoint what is wrong exactly but I do get to feel it) but also to keep my serenity/serendipity to stay calmed when what I see is dissapointing or disturbing.
Day 36! Today, for the first time, for a brief moment I could actually feel so focused in the middle of my eyebrows that I felt so grounded but at the same time floating beyond time and space. Plus keep on finding cute human like (angel) shapes in the flame!
Day 52! Hard again for my eyes Maybe the many days of sleeping late. Maybe the scattered practice. Maybe tye makeyp over my eyes. Anyways I'm glad to be back for two days straight and to see something while closing my eyes such as tye dark blue or black cross against a pale yellow and dark sun in a solid dark background that I saw the three times today!
Tratak is a very powerful eye gazing practice specially if you are in yogic and meditative practices. It is a must to have a fire in the eyes, exuberating confidence. I have seen many people blinking eyes while speaking. This is a sign of low confidence. Tratak can even be prolonged to 40 minutes. I have learnt this technique from my Guru Osho. Please carry on practicing tratak. Akshay is a very good yoga facilitator. My best wishes to him.
Day 19! My candle's rope is almost at its base so for most of the practice I could not see the flame but only its light glowing through the candle. I started feeling sad and discouraged while thinking that maybe it was an omen of the lack of clarity and doubts that invaded me again, today regarding someone I have loved for long years through the distance and is on the verge of leaving my life again maybe forever. I've been doubting if this person ever existed or he was a fake persona...which is the deepest wound I could feel even more than him having changed or leaving. However as I was feeling sader I got straighter on my back and also the flame started glowing until I could see it again by the last third of the last third of the practice. My hope grow stronger again and I felt so happy I repeated the last third of the practice once more! Namaste! ❤
Day 18! Too many days of sleeping before sunrise, my eyes feel the tiredness. Also some sadness of thinking I might let someone I have loved for soany years let go (unless he wants to come back on his own). Today it was hard I felt them burning and during the first two rounds with a flame buried deep in the candle almost invisible except by the tip. I could nor help but to blink. However by the last round I held my tears and the song "you can do anything, anything. You can do anything" came to my mind so I got straighter and held my tears until I was told to close my eyes. Also the flame grew bigger!
Day 8! I hope that the clarity of this down accompanies me throughout the day and the week for I really need it! The pain has blindes me and I've been walking as a wanderer lost and as a zombie like an automaton. I was mad that despite all my work I could neither foresee nor prevent the pain but no thing does magic. It is magic enough that I have some clarity so close to the impact. That i've been lucky to talk to people that has faced similar facets to the ones of my pain and to have this exercise and yoga and other ones based on neuroscience to ease the pain and bring in some clarity and calmness. And music to express my pain out loud as well.
Day 28! Despite all the pain and all the pressure and all the lack of sleep of the past weeks. And despite all the still decisive moments to come tomorrow and next week. Today has been a day in which I've felt calmed and focused! I slept by 2 am and woke up by 7 am and took a cold shower to start my day. And it has remained cool. Even the weather helped out and some little interactions with strangers!
I had my PRK surgery 2 years ago however i started noticing my left eye were having a little blurriness which i feel is increased a bit. I'm doing this for 21 days and going to update here. Please like this comment to remind me. Day 1 ✅️ i had trouble looking at the flame it was hard but i was determined and ik this is crazy but I feel like my vision is already a bit clearer, what I could not read from a far I feel that's become a little clearer not fully though.
Day 44! A couple days ago I mustered all my focus to overcome a challenge I had set long ago. Afterwards I could keep it for a couple more hours but then got rather scattered. Also, my emotions are racing for so many outside events these days...but if it was not for yoga and trataka I would be lost wandering!
Day 38! It does give you clafity and calm the mind. I was feeling insomnia and through the practice I found the reason (the real one) why my mind could not rest. Inmediately I felt sleepy!
Day 29! Some things have "resolved" themselves in unexpected ways and although they took a relievingly not dramatic turn they still let me doubts. However, there are other pendong things and other risky things and surprisingly despite the challenges that in other times would have been destructive to me, I am now thinking ahead of me. Thinking in solutions to solve the problem rather than focussing on how it affects me personally!
Day 25? Second time today! But this practice comes better for me at night! Today I did manage to keep focus without eyes burning or blinking except the last I was about to sleep. I don't know if it was the ñ jogging and stairs climbing, or taking a shower that helped me relax and focus but also it might be the first night I can get to sleep after many restless nights! Watching the flame I thought: "Then why am holding on to this guy if I can't talk to him anymore nor have his love and support" and I swear the flame grew bigger! Hare Krishna! Namaste! 🙏

Day 35! When you let things go. It seems they fix on their own. Also, when you stop expecting things from people. Even the truth! You free yourself, knowing that your actions don't depend on them. You start seeing them more clearly!
Thank you for this video. This is my first time doing this meditation. For me was very challenging and my eyes started to cry. Was very hard to maintain the glaze on the flame as well. Thank you again and I will try to do my best the next time!
I meditate & use a candle to focus my attention. This technique - Not Blinking is Powerful. Im near sighted & need to wear glasses. When i learned Not to Blink , my vision Focused into Clarity. Practice this regularly focus point on the brow while having at candle.

Its my first day and I dont experience much of difference ... However, i place trust on the process and will continue for 21 days. Lets see what's on the way.
Day 50? I did not practice yesterday but at least I went back to yoga yesterday, afterbgoing back to tratala the day before yesterday! So I'll male it count! Also, today wuile watching the flame (first time in a while it was actually at my eyes level and it is very early morning. I usually practice at "night") I say this besutiful light bubble (not perfectly round butbrather people shaped) around the flame which first had the shape of a nice woman in the middle (a maddona) and then turned into a massive man like figure with dropped shoulderd as if sad. (Huge drop like torax and abdomen). Namaste! 🙏
It is my second time today butvI'll count it as day 22! Since tomorrow morning I won't be anle to make it! So many sensations, thoughts and imagery. The candle which is now a thin one seemed like a vertical shaped fire eye followed by an orange yellow with nlack extremes column. Then turnes into the usual light sphere. The third part I had watery eyes but managed to control rapid eye movements with slower ones by fixating my eyes in different points of the flsme. Including the blue bottom which I did not have with my previous candle. Also, I had thoughts like I wish I had the presence, wisfom and intelligence of my father around again and some painful ones like the psychologist telling me my father was an orthopedics for me, not recognizing I did love him...

Day 31! My eyes on the fire, had to bring back my absent mind, though! But keeping the eyes open without blinking much or feeling them itching or burning feels añways like an advance. I had to work with my repulsion towards humanity's lowest traits that I've seen today! 😓 it is hard to accept other humans, remember you are human and flawed too. However some traits like pathological lying seem too hard to accept without or extreme rejection! I mean, being flawed is what we are but there are some flaws that are too hard to swallow! Oh, Namaste!
Day 26! A brown woman with light blue fire hair, an electric blue bouquet of flowers. And off course the orange and red and a black halo fireball were somethings I saw while closing my eyes. Also it is interesting to always see the candle flame changing "acvirdingly to my thoughts". One of them was: "I feel I am turning off just like the flame, father (as thinking id my late dad)" while a piece of was that seemed to hold the flame collapsed like a tender and resignated hug of someone sadly departing and then the flame started burning out with more streght. The other thought was "I want to be as steady and atable as this flame" and as I said that, the flame grew bigger whioe keeping stable. One more thought was "He left us, he betrayed us, dad. He abandoned us" while thinking about the love of my life (well nothing happened to the flame then but I felt that It was ok for me to be stubborn and let things be in pause for a while and not just giving up just yet but at least have one more face to face talk if possible considering he lives far away). Something else that di happen was that I could keep my focus wuth bare minimum blinking. Namaste! 🙏

Day 16! I had an epiphany as I lighted the candle. It is not much about choosing the best option as it is "having options". When you feel you have no options, you tend to cling the only alternative you have while when you feel you have options you feel you can afford to let go even "the best one" if it seems too much trouble for some reason!
I’m 60.i have dry eyes and cataracts. It was very hard for not to blink because it was very painful. But I’ll keep practicing. Really hope I can get healthy eyes back … thank you very much😊🙏🙏🙏

Day 20! Some surprises interrupting my meditation right in the moment I was about to get up to puck another candle! I feel something is on the verge to get resolved. I just hope it is for good! When I could repeat the third part of the practice with the new candle and closed my eyes. I could see an interesting image a western "saint-virgin" like shape in black. In the place of the face, the orange red fire sphere.
Day 1! Before the practice oficially started, it felt easier to keep my eyes open. Then, when it started it felt a lot harder. My eyes started burning as soon as I opened them and they started blinking on their own and droping out tears as if I was crying! 😅
Day 10! I've been wrestling eith my eyes a little today because of many days of lack of sleep but in the end I saw this beautiful set of reddish orange sparkles around the flame and candle surrounded by this beautiful purpleish blue sky like surrounding when I closed my eyes. Besides other nice shapes such as an stripped magenta silverlining around the flame, etc.
tried for 8 days , little improvement in seeing nearby things and not myopia . got so stiff at mental level after doing this. focussing outside only . memory became better but at the cost of stress and logic and emotions . i dont feel much emotions after this . feels like a machine . was not able to sleep properly when i did it before sleeping once . Too much negative experinces and emotions came to surface and which was released that was the only good thing
Day 2! It was not harder than day 1 but it still was hard. I was wrestling not only with my eyes but with myself (my mind) to not give up, to not close them, to open them wider, etc. I can't believe something seemingly so simple is so hard. However it was interesting that out of nowhere I recalled an exchange with a young passionate boy that reminded me of myself when younger so I imagined I was my older self laughing patienty and lovingly to my younger and more passionate self, telling her to calm down. Also when I closed my eyes I first saw where the flame was, a tiny hedgedog and then by the end I ended up seeing a tiny purple red sphere that appeared and dissapeared and turned more purple or more red.
Day 21! I ended up using anothrr candle! Flame had a distinctively different shape at first smaller eith a lot more blue but then orange yellow came bigger and I could feel the warmth I felt ehile I was in University with my father alive and also together with the only man I trusted and loved (when I could love and trust that man) besides my dad. During ecery eye closing experience I saw different shapes all based in a sunflower like shape. A sunflower with reddish brown petals. A sunflower with a strange face in the middle. A sunflower with a smiley face in the middle. It was an interesting experience.
This tratak meditation doesn't only helps with eyesight but also for memory..Thank you so much for this ❤..

I didn't know the aasana in my childhood but I do a lot of this aasna in my childhood 😮

I just done it for 5 days but i am continuing it for my life.
It's been a month , how's progress?
Day 19! My candle's rope is almost at its base so for most of the practice I could not see the flame but only its light glowing through the candle. I started feeling sad and discouraged while thinking that maybe it was an omen of the lack of clarity and doubts that invaded me again, today regarding someone I have loved for long years through the distance and is on the verge of leaving my life again maybe forever. I've been doubting if this person ever existed or he was a fake persona...which is the deepest wound I could feel even more than him having changed or leaving. However as I was feeling sader I got straighter on my back and also the flame started glowing until I could see it again by the last third of the last third of the practice. My hope grow stronger again and I felt so happy I repeated the last third of the practice once more! Namaste! ❤
Day 18! Too many days of sleeping before sunrise, my eyes feel the tiredness. Also some sadness of thinking I might let someone I have loved for soany years let go (unless he wants to come back on his own). Today it was hard I felt them burning and during the first two rounds with a flame buried deep in the candle almost invisible except by the tip. I could nor help but to blink. However by the last round I held my tears and the song "you can do anything, anything. You can do anything" came to my mind so I got straighter and held my tears until I was told to close my eyes. Also the flame grew bigger!
Yeh bro i will surely start it today but the reality now a days is that 😂we can stare at mobile without eye blinking but not on a candel .

Day 8! I hope that the clarity of this down accompanies me throughout the day and the week for I really need it! The pain has blindes me and I've been walking as a wanderer lost and as a zombie like an automaton. I was mad that despite all my work I could neither foresee nor prevent the pain but no thing does magic. It is magic enough that I have some clarity so close to the impact. That i've been lucky to talk to people that has faced similar facets to the ones of my pain and to have this exercise and yoga and other ones based on neuroscience to ease the pain and bring in some clarity and calmness. And music to express my pain out loud as well.
Day 3 the practice started healing me , thankyou for a wonderful practice

Day 28! Despite all the pain and all the pressure and all the lack of sleep of the past weeks. And despite all the still decisive moments to come tomorrow and next week. Today has been a day in which I've felt calmed and focused! I slept by 2 am and woke up by 7 am and took a cold shower to start my day. And it has remained cool. Even the weather helped out and some little interactions with strangers!
Day 39! Too many days without sleeping are taking a toll on me. The only relief and help to get some clarity are my daily yoga and tratak! Namaste! 🙏
I had my PRK surgery 2 years ago however i started noticing my left eye were having a little blurriness which i feel is increased a bit. I'm doing this for 21 days and going to update here. Please like this comment to remind me.
Day 1 ✅️ i had trouble looking at the flame it was hard but i was determined and ik this is crazy but I feel like my vision is already a bit clearer, what I could not read from a far I feel that's become a little clearer not fully though.

Day 44! A couple days ago I mustered all my focus to overcome a challenge I had set long ago. Afterwards I could keep it for a couple more hours but then got rather scattered. Also, my emotions are racing for so many outside events these days...but if it was not for yoga and trataka I would be lost wandering!
Day 38! It does give you clafity and calm the mind. I was feeling insomnia and through the practice I found the reason (the real one) why my mind could not rest. Inmediately I felt sleepy!

Day 15! I did not blink my eyes, the flame was blinking instead! ❤
Some clarity is coming through the rifts between me and my past!
Day 29! Some things have "resolved" themselves in unexpected ways and although they took a relievingly not dramatic turn they still let me doubts. However, there are other pendong things and other risky things and surprisingly despite the challenges that in other times would have been destructive to me, I am now thinking ahead of me. Thinking in solutions to solve the problem rather than focussing on how it affects me personally!

Day 25? Second time today! But this practice comes better for me at night! Today I did manage to keep focus without eyes burning or blinking except the last I was about to sleep. I don't know if it was the ñ jogging and stairs climbing, or taking a shower that helped me relax and focus but also it might be the first night I can get to sleep after many restless nights! Watching the flame I thought: "Then why am holding on to this guy if I can't talk to him anymore nor have his love and support" and I swear the flame grew bigger! Hare Krishna! Namaste! 🙏
Day 17! When my mind is calmed. My eyes are calmed! They don't blink, they don't burn too easily! Namaste! 🙏
Day 37! When clarity is not conforting you need to remember yourself that you are in control of yourself and your actions!

Day 47! After closing my eyes I saw a blue purpleish airy (almost smoky) cross surrounded by an aqua colored silverlining

Day 46! I kept my eyes on the flame and paid attention to the shape, tc but still lota of anxious thorughts came to my mind today!
I was waiting for trataka meditation tutorial for so long!! So excited for this!
I manifest my eyes to be better again and that i gain my healthy vision and not have to wear glasses

Day 35! When you let things go. It seems they fix on their own. Also, when you stop expecting things from people. Even the truth! You free yourself, knowing that your actions don't depend on them. You start seeing them more clearly!
Thank you for this video. This is my first time doing this meditation. For me was very challenging and my eyes started to cry. Was very hard to maintain the glaze on the flame as well. Thank you again and I will try to do my best the next time!

Doing this one before sleep, breathing meditation in the morning
I meditate & use a candle to focus my attention. This technique - Not Blinking is Powerful. Im near sighted & need to wear glasses. When i learned Not to Blink , my vision Focused into Clarity. Practice this regularly focus point on the brow while having at candle.

Day 50? I did not practice yesterday but at least I went back to yoga yesterday, afterbgoing back to tratala the day before yesterday! So I'll male it count! Also, today wuile watching the flame (first time in a while it was actually at my eyes level and it is very early morning. I usually practice at "night") I say this besutiful light bubble (not perfectly round butbrather people shaped) around the flame which first had the shape of a nice woman in the middle (a maddona) and then turned into a massive man like figure with dropped shoulderd as if sad. (Huge drop like torax and abdomen). Namaste! 🙏
Day 12! It hurts as life and I could not keep it up as in life but still I came despite I am not doing better, not even right!
Day 27! Restitution is the word I'm hoping for!
It is my second time today butvI'll count it as day 22! Since tomorrow morning I won't be anle to make it! So many sensations, thoughts and imagery. The candle which is now a thin one seemed like a vertical shaped fire eye followed by an orange yellow with nlack extremes column. Then turnes into the usual light sphere. The third part I had watery eyes but managed to control rapid eye movements with slower ones by fixating my eyes in different points of the flsme. Including the blue bottom which I did not have with my previous candle. Also, I had thoughts like I wish I had the presence, wisfom and intelligence of my father around again and some painful ones like the psychologist telling me my father was an orthopedics for me, not recognizing I did love him...

Day 40! Trying to live with my mistakes and also trying to learn (at least to get enough sleep). Sleeping early today or at least trying to do so
Day 31! My eyes on the fire, had to bring back my absent mind, though! But keeping the eyes open without blinking much or feeling them itching or burning feels añways like an advance. I had to work with my repulsion towards humanity's lowest traits that I've seen today! 😓 it is hard to accept other humans, remember you are human and flawed too. However some traits like pathological lying seem too hard to accept without or extreme rejection! I mean, being flawed is what we are but there are some flaws that are too hard to swallow! Oh, Namaste!

Day 9! Clouds come in and out of my mind. Either "clouding it" or letting some clarity in...
Day 26! A brown woman with light blue fire hair, an electric blue bouquet of flowers. And off course the orange and red and a black halo fireball were somethings I saw while closing my eyes. Also it is interesting to always see the candle flame changing "acvirdingly to my thoughts". One of them was: "I feel I am turning off just like the flame, father (as thinking id my late dad)" while a piece of was that seemed to hold the flame collapsed like a tender and resignated hug of someone sadly departing and then the flame started burning out with more streght. The other thought was "I want to be as steady and atable as this flame" and as I said that, the flame grew bigger whioe keeping stable. One more thought was "He left us, he betrayed us, dad. He abandoned us" while thinking about the love of my life (well nothing happened to the flame then but I felt that It was ok for me to be stubborn and let things be in pause for a while and not just giving up just yet but at least have one more face to face talk if possible considering he lives far away). Something else that di happen was that I could keep my focus wuth bare minimum blinking. Namaste! 🙏

Day 16! I had an epiphany as I lighted the candle. It is not much about choosing the best option as it is "having options". When you feel you have no options, you tend to cling the only alternative you have while when you feel you have options you feel you can afford to let go even "the best one" if it seems too much trouble for some reason!
I’m 60.i have dry eyes and cataracts. It was very hard for not to blink because it was very painful. But I’ll keep practicing. Really hope I can get healthy eyes back … thank you very much😊🙏🙏🙏

Day 20! Some surprises interrupting my meditation right in the moment I was about to get up to puck another candle! I feel something is on the verge to get resolved. I just hope it is for good! When I could repeat the third part of the practice with the new candle and closed my eyes. I could see an interesting image a western "saint-virgin" like shape in black. In the place of the face, the orange red fire sphere.

Day 1! Before the practice oficially started, it felt easier to keep my eyes open. Then, when it started it felt a lot harder. My eyes started burning as soon as I opened them and they started blinking on their own and droping out tears as if I was crying! 😅

Day 10! I've been wrestling eith my eyes a little today because of many days of lack of sleep but in the end I saw this beautiful set of reddish orange sparkles around the flame and candle surrounded by this beautiful purpleish blue sky like surrounding when I closed my eyes. Besides other nice shapes such as an stripped magenta silverlining around the flame, etc.

@@DRACULADeMihawk I do wear glasses. I'm not sure they got better but I feel I do have some more mental clarity now!
tried for 8 days , little improvement in seeing nearby things and not myopia . got so stiff at mental level after doing this. focussing outside only . memory became better but at the cost of stress and logic and emotions . i dont feel much emotions after this . feels like a machine . was not able to sleep properly when i did it before sleeping once . Too much negative experinces and emotions came to surface and which was released that was the only good thing

Day 2! It was not harder than day 1 but it still was hard. I was wrestling not only with my eyes but with myself (my mind) to not give up, to not close them, to open them wider, etc. I can't believe something seemingly so simple is so hard. However it was interesting that out of nowhere I recalled an exchange with a young passionate boy that reminded me of myself when younger so I imagined I was my older self laughing patienty and lovingly to my younger and more passionate self, telling her to calm down. Also when I closed my eyes I first saw where the flame was, a tiny hedgedog and then by the end I ended up seeing a tiny purple red sphere that appeared and dissapeared and turned more purple or more red.
Day 21! I ended up using anothrr candle! Flame had a distinctively different shape at first smaller eith a lot more blue but then orange yellow came bigger and I could feel the warmth I felt ehile I was in University with my father alive and also together with the only man I trusted and loved (when I could love and trust that man) besides my dad. During ecery eye closing experience I saw different shapes all based in a sunflower like shape. A sunflower with reddish brown petals. A sunflower with a strange face in the middle. A sunflower with a smiley face in the middle. It was an interesting experience.
Definately gonna try tratak for 21 straight days in the evening!! Informative video... Quite heard about its benefits!
