/ lukrembo These are The MOST ABNORMAL Cases On My 600-lb Life!
My 600-lb Life is a reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who begin the episode weighing at least 490 pounds (220 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.[1] - Розваги
There was a guy who killed himself after the show. The family tried blaming the show. The also said he had dental issues and tried to blame that on the show. Last I checked, Dr. Now isn't a dentist

@@Tiffthegiraffe His name is LB Bonner.
Sad
How would it dr. Now's fault when he made the choice to do himself in? Not trying to sound insensitive
Sam McCormack thank you , someone had to say it
Dr. Now is getting older Lord pls give him long life for him to help other people having such weight problem 😔
Agreed. He was born in 1944.
Sajara Llanza I was thinking the same exact thing. He is almost 80, most doctors are retired by now. I would be so sad if he died. I hope he lives to be at least 100!🤞🏽🙏
He's mentoring someone, but yeah, I'll be sad to see him go...
Wow I thought about this same thing
@@thePhoenixQueen He IS a mentor to a mentee you mean. The mentor is the one doing the teaching. I don't think Dr. Now needs a mentor.
Paulines son has my pity. Instead of living a teenager life he has to be the caretaker of his mother. Most of the time he seems to be depressed.
I loathed her, he's been so neglected and emotionally manipulated into caring for his mother, because she doesn't love herself or even her son enough to do what the doctor ordered to lose weight. I try not to wish ill upon people, because I know my heart needs to be better than that...but I kinda wish that, if she's not gonna lose the weight, that she'll pass away soon enough for Dylan to have a chance at life...but I do how that if she does pass away, it'll be peaceful, I won't be cruel and wish suffering, no matter how much I can't stand her.
He should feel honored. It would be like taking care of Buddha.
@@zuesincoming676 LMAO hahaha!
Pauline does not care that she has robbed her son of significant life experiences. She needs Dylan to stay with her 24/7 for her addiction to flourish, so she ignores the damage she has done to his education and social life.
I don't know if I could do what he does for his mom. I mean, I would help my mom in any circumstance, for a while. He's obviously a good person, what a shame she holds him hostage.
I would be mortified if my teenage son did my personal care.
The look on Dr.Nows face seeing a patient passed away. I know he’s harsh to everyone but it’s out of the most sincere love... he’s trying to save obese patients from that exact fate... 😪💕
Why the sleeping face? O.o
The sad thing about it is that the guy who passed away was making incredible progress. Sure he was grossly overweight still, but losing 400 lbs isn't a small task
I’m pretty not cool with drs, but you can tell Dr. Now is an exceptional human being.
@@collinsquires410 thats probably why he was really sad about it, was because he was making progress, it was just to late.
I think there's a big difference between being harsh and being honest.

The twins were the best patients. They always respected Dr. Now and did what he told them to do...maybe one or two little slip ups, but for the most part, they complied and lost the weight. I hope for nothing but the best for all of their family...especially Grandma! ♥️
yeah, I just watched her episode the other day, I've been watching 600 pound life to keep me motivated into exercising, staying healthy, and losing my pregnancy weight~ I felt bad for the one twin that had the complications, and for her sister who was scared to death of her twin, but they both did awesome, I'm happy for them!
@EmiriTsukiyo , I think I originally liked them because they lived in Vancouver Wa. That's where my daughter is a firefighter/paramedic. But then I watched the episode and really liked both of them. They weren't like a lot of the manipulative people on the show.
You need to watch the "Where are they now" for my 600 pound life. It's really heartwarming to see the good people do good things with their lives.
Congratulations on the new baby! ♥️
@@kathybee3151 you're right, they took it seriously and were great supports for each other~ i like the "Where are they now"s, it does make me happy to see them progressing 😊
And thank you!! 🥰
I'm happy for them, but also sad that they had to go through what they did. I wonder how many people have died due to "bullying-related complications?"
@EmiriTsukiyo , you're welcome. Raising 2 amazing young women has been my greatest accomplishment. 💜💖
@Hadley McCool , sadly, too many. And there's even more people that have lived with the pain of being bullied. Some kids can brush it off, others have it effect their entire lives. 💔
Sorry when steven fell off the golf cart like a sack of potatoes 🤣🤣🤣😂

Sean's story hit me the hardest. He had no one. He had to do it all on his own after his mother passed away. 💔💔💔
Dr Now should have arranged group home - more support - his mom made him an infant an adult if it had no life skills he had nobody
The best patient was Benji. He got two skin surgeries, overcame his addiction and even fulfilled a dream of starting a towing service.
How the hell is Steven married?! OMFG NASTY.
There is hope for everyone.
@@grimlund ~ Everyone ???
Money. That's probably the answer.
The smell of him must be horrible
I feel bad for the wife
Sean’s episode made me so sad. Like the fact that he was actually trying hard to get better and live a normal life. It just goes to show it’s a race against time for people this drastically overweight. It figures tho that the manipulative assholes live on with there habits but yet someone who is actually trying doesn’t make it.
These people need to take control of their weight.. What hurt me the most about them is that they keep eating the same junk food everyday and getting bigger.. Then they can't do much for themselves then pressure other people.. It's not right man! How could someone be comfortable looking so big and fat and still contributing to the weight eating away, like that's the only hobby on earth for them. Horrible. Kmt!
@@meomi8936 That's... why most of them end up on the show? There are a few who are after money or whatever "fame" they think they'll get, but most just want help. That is taking responsibility. Besides, the root of overeating is rarely simply that someone likes food - to get to some 600lbs, many have a background of abuse or have faced some kind of trauma. Saying that they should just take responsibility and lose weight is like saying of someone who has anorexia that they should just eat and be healthy again. That is, it shows a really poor understanding of what most of these people are actually going through.
💔
he most likely died BECAUSE he tried hard. losing that much weight is very stressful of a body thats already way overloaded
Sean seemed like a super nice guy
These people only keep eating because they have enablers... they certainly can't get to the shop, and probably not the fridge either :( so maybe there needs to be a programme on reforming the enablers
Sean would order food and have it delivered to his apartment because he was alone, and he was the biggest guy in the video... He's the guy who passed away... No enabler. Just himself. He was babied by his mother his whole life, and never learned how to take care of himself... He did the best he could... That guy went through so much, he is finally at peace, and back with his mother again...
There's food delivery
A brilliant idea! All these patients and their families need a lot of therapy!
rip sean he was a willing patient too
Sean was a good soul
he wasnt, he never lost weight on his own, only when he was back on a controlled diet. he also never took care of his personal hygiene

I don't even know why they call it "My 600lb life" anymore. All of them are usually at 700+lbs now.
I asked my husband why it wasn’t 500 since that’s a rounded number. He said that’s because at 500 pounds people can still do basic things and get around. He said 600 pounds is usually the point people become immobile.
I’m so happy to hear those twin women are doing well.
@Kyril J But they aren't immobilized by their weight anymore and have improved their quality of life a lot

All of the world’s heaviest people are in the USA

This show made me start losing weight ✊🏻😬
Yeah I dont know how people can see someone suffering like this and say being fat has no correlation with health
i was close to 300 a year ago and have lost a lot since with diet. mine was from meds and I watch the show to listen to the stories however steves is beyond ridiculous he just wanted pills and that is the reason why we have a epidemic.
They built a prison of flesh,it's insane.
Wow I’ve never heard it described that way, such an accurate description. I feel so bad for anyone struggling with any addiction. Addiction in itself is a prison, I can’t imagine being super morbidly obese on top of it.
That is the BEST analogy EVER!!
The fat is a parasite to the body.
This dr is one of the only people I've ever seen that can be angry at you and never move any part of his body but his mouth now thats talent 💯
Most of these people on the show were molested as children... the start of their addiction.
Misty Raye They all said that?
SK Language if you watch all of the seasons, most talk about their childhood of molestation and traumatic childhood
I picked that up. Also with mukbangers here on YT.
SK Language YES MOST do have rape/molestion in their backgrounds here is a partial list of those: Kelly.octavia, Diana,Brandi & kandi Erica, Bettie jo,
This is why paedophiles who act on their urges need to be killed. The kind of Childhood trauma as a result of their urges always results in broken individuals.
Wow, I actually started tearing up at number two. That was the last thing I expected when I tapped on this video. RIP, Sean. 😔

Rule #1. When you do more for your patient then they do for themselves it’s time to move on!
Hence why after 16 years i qiut working as a hha pca

Dayna Goodchild in most cases yes. What’s also fucked up is that the system keeps trying to make you responsible.
Someone should send Penny’s and Sean’s episodes to Ambelynn Reid, cause Penny’s is how she’s currently living (claiming she’s “losing weight” but refuses to actually try to) and Sean’s is her future (not making it to/past 30)
Penny upset me so much
Carolyn White me too omg
@Lizz Mayfield right? And look at Amberlynn now. Just think if she had tried even 6 months ago when this video first came out, she might not be in the predicament she's in now.
She doesn’t care if she dies. As long as she gets money she’s happy. And she gets money by being a hot mess. People love to see her fail so she does..it’s how she ironically makes a living.
@@TheMotherofTacos Exactly, it's just swelleen and water weight. People just don't understand nutrition like she does.
Penny drove me batty. Pauline got on my nerves too. And don’t get me started on Steven Assanti!😂

The twins, Brandy and Candy, are really so sweet. Their story is amazing. They both deserve good health and much happiness.

It's a kink thing
Ik it sounds kinda rude but these videos are what pushed be to go from 250 to 190 pounds. I’m 5’10 so I was way above my limit. I feel terrible for these poor people. Sometimes you don’t have the motivation or the ability to improve yourself whether it be mental or physical problems. It takes courage to go in front of cameras like that especially with that weight I couldn’t do it
There’s my take, what’s yours? Can’t wait to read I love debating and seeing other povs
Kamron Banks, Good for you! It’s not rude at all. I also watch these kinds of videos to motivate me to lose weight 🤷🏻♀️
Same! My friend fave me her recumbent bike and ive been to on it while watching episodes to motivate me to keep going. Im trying to lose my pregnancy weight, and sometimes I'll stay n that bike for hours just watching a few episodes at a time. Burned 400 calories one time, though it's hard to burn more than that because I've got three kids, so i gotta get up a lot and care for them...but it helps when i can hold my 4mo and pedal, or even my 3yo, she likes to sit on my legs as I pedal lol
Growing up I have always been on the bigger side, and would use to compare myself with my twin, who'd be way smaller than me. (Looking back I was never fat as I imagined when looking at pics)
Every year it seems I always gained weight and never really made an attempt to work it off. I
I started working out about a month to 2 months ago and I have lost 12+ pounds. Started at 185 and currently weight 173. I know that doesn't seem that I am fat but my mentality state. Look in a mirror and would compare myself to a mini fat oompa loompa haha.
I watch these videos as motivation as well to go out and workout. It helps me to get encouraged cause I never want to be a big ole girl. My goal is to lose 30 pounds before I see my husband!
Same. I'm about 221. Used to be 250. Unfortunately I'm thinking it's because I'm starting to develop another eating disorder. I used to struggle with binge eating disorder and I still kinda do since my mom passed away. But I'm starting to get into my old food refusal attitude. Yeah I feel good about fitting in my clothes better but I worry it'll get bad. My mom struggled with anorexia when I was little. She got better but mental illnesses are in my family. I am happy that I can get up and be active longer than I used to.
Im 5'10 and was 250.. Im now down to 199. I have about 50 to go💪🏻
Watching this makes me never want to eat again, disgusting.
I'm on my path down from 280lbs, so far I've made it to 240lbs. Whenever I feel the urge to binge, I look up 600lbs-episodes. Not the perfect cure but certainly helping.

As the therapist pointed it out. He must be a smooth talker lol!
I also blame the pathetic parenting that most of these overweight people had and the dysfunctional families and abuse that most of them lived through before they were old enough to be responsible for themselves.
This is why dysfunctional people do not need to reproduce ever.
I remember watching a show about people getting weight loss surgery. One such story that stuck out to me was a woman who wanted to loose enough wait to fit into her old nightgown. When she had the surgery, it was snug but she could wear it, which made her elated. Fast forward, she kept up by exercising and eating healthy amd was able to wear the nightgown comfortably
“ she claims she’s eating healthy and she’s not”. Yeah, denial does seem to be a pretty common thread in all of this.
