Yes! He really cares about them and wants them to live, so he will give them the brutal truth. Many doctors will sugarcoat things now because some hospitals have a crazy patient review system that can get doctors fired if patients make complaints.

As a person who has had weight loss surgery and successfully lost all my extra weight, I can tell you that what Dr. Now speaks is the truth. He holds his patients accountable for their choices and reminds them that the surgery is not a magic bullet. Plus, we need to remember that these people are likely receiving his services for either free or an extremely reduced cost for appearing in the program. He is providing every tool they need to succeed, but many want to blame their lack of success on anything but their personal choices!

soa pan Yes, most people do have terrible things happen to them. But I don’t know if I’d consider everyone to suffer from Trauma? That’s something that deeply distressing or disturbing. Most often these people on the show can be suffering from sexual abuse of all levels from when they were children. While lots of people suffer from this sadly not everyone suffers from this trauma. Again, what they are doing to cope is horrible for themselves and they are destroying their lives and others no doubt about it. So I’m not disagreeing at all! Just curious whether you think everybody suffers from trauma? If so what kind of trauma does everybody on earth share?

No normal human being can stuff 8000kcal in their mouth unless they're a professional strongman like Eddie Hall, but those people turn the energy into muscle mass and burn off the excess.
