    There seems to be a phenomena that when the 600 pound person looses weight, the relatively thin partner leaves. What’s up with that?

    • @sandrag1481
      @sandrag1481 4 роки тому +72

      There is a co-dependency between feeders and eaters. How else should a bed ridden person get all those food if there wasn't someone enabling it? Someone doing the cooking and grocery and stuff. Once the "eater" breaks the deal, the feeder has to leave to find somebody else for whom he can "care".

      Some people fetishise obese people and don’t want or support their partner losing weight. They’re with the overweight person BECAUSE of their original size.

    • @carolkristian1146
      @carolkristian1146 3 роки тому +8

      Because they are co-dependant with the other person. They are so involved with that person being dependent on them. They need them to stay fat for their dependency to thrive. If their partner loses weight, and can do everything for themselves, then they feel that they're not needed anymore. That's why they sabotage, and sometimes leave.

    • @junbh2
      @junbh2 3 роки тому +2

      Different reasons. The whole dynamic of the relationship shifts because on of them isn't in bed and dependent on the other. And usually it changes even more than that because the person losing weight often needed to change a lot about their personality and how they process their emotions and how they make decisions. Everything is just so different. There are other relationships though that seem a lot healthier and where they support each other and it can get even better after they loose weight.

    I’ve watched soo many episodes of the show. Of all of them, only 1 had no trauma in their past. You don’t get that large without some psychological factors. No doubt, many could have helped themselves years ago with therapy. I don’t know why people are so stubborn with therapy.

      I'm someone whose stubborn with therapy. It is difficult to get through to me, So I don't tend to seek out therapy. I don't know why, it just seems to be in my nature to need to feel that an idea comes from me for me to act on it.
      There are some things which immediately get through though, I just get military themed self help ideas.
      Ultimately even advice that I reject initially, often eventually gets taken on board. It definately looked like I was completely ignoring the advice from my eating disorder team, but ,while I was defying it, I was listening to it and not restricting my food as much in the days following an ED appointment.

But they have enough people even professionals who take up for them, blaming it on their past. Ever think of that?

    Omg maggots , that is so disturbing... who was helping that woman clean herself ? That is a sign of abuse , I mean sure she abused herself but if someone is in charge of caring for someone they need to be held responsible for what they are doing or better yet what there not doing... I’m not surprised that she died.... this show should make a very detailed video of the patient s that died and show the maggots and every sad gross detail s , then show these people there future ... another words shock them into reality... and show them how the people all cheated on the diet and how no one believes there manipulating ways .... just put it out there if they ask for help but yet don’t do what is asked of them
