As someone who used to run a busy Clinic, there is nothing more annoying than people failing to keep appointmentsv when you have a waiting list for a cancellation. It shows irresponsibility and inconsideration of others.
Ppl cancel appts for real reasons. It's easy to just assume ppl are irresponsible than understanding that shhh happens where a person can't make it. It's not all about you. Ppl have lives outside of their appointments. If a person makes an appointment they made it because they were available that day and time. If they can't make it, whatever happened makes that appointment need to take a back burner.

I was bullied as a kid and I ate junk all day long to feel better, then after gaining weight, I made a commitment to lose weight by cutting out junk food and reducing calories plus exercise...in a few months I was fit And I never got big again 😊

As a recovering alcoholic who needed multiple opportunities and had access to a community (AA) that’s absolutely everywhere, I do feel sorry for them. But as a recovering alcoholic I also know that most folks can’t sympathize with the addict and that’s okay. The place I go to meetings has meetings for overeaters as well, but it’s once a week unlike AA that has multiple meetings a day.

If they are dependent on family or care for them then family can restrict the calories and types of food they’re eating. So they’re enabling and complicit

I've seen a couple of the really successful patients talking about it, and discussing its helpfulness with Dr Now.

Absent parent ( or worse, a parent you could only wish would have been absent), divorced parents, abuse in every form... don't get me wrong, no kid ever deserves to live like that, but once we are adults we choose whether we are even going to try to heal and find happiness or simply continue living as the eternal victim.
