love these. we've been to GTNP many times. you will absolutely love the hikes there. we are wildlife photographers from Lubbock too. stay safe out there.
Hello Sue. Great video! The lake you have filmed from 4:22 - 4:39, is that Consultation Lake? It looks kind of small for how it presents on a topo map, but it is the nearest lake to Trail Camp, and maybe a 1/2 mile below. And when did you film your hike here? Congratulations on your making it to the top!
@@callmeBe Hello! That was Lone Pine Lake, around 3 miles into the hike. Consultation Lake has greener water. I filmed this on July 2 and 3rd. Thanks for watching! Edit: Actually that's not Lone Pine Lake. I should have watched the clip first! Not sure which one, could be Consultation. There were several small lakes near Trail Camp and around the summit.
We didn't get to see you traverse the "Lincoln log trail", but it was wise to put the phone thingy down.
awesome job
Went by it a few times, coming from Phoenix scorching temperatures and still saw snow up there. I'd love to climb it one day as well. Thanks for sharing!
I wasn't aware of this Site. Very special views up there, and some footing challenges with those rocks. Make us some more movies, be safe.
The Grand Canyon has been a place I've been dying to go to and this video just increased that desire. The Colorado River looked so refreshing. What a gorgeous hike
Thanks! Definitely one of my favorites. There's nothing like being inside a giant canyon!
What a beautiful day! Cheers to you and Matt!! 💪🤘☮
Thank you!
What a cool arch! I haven't done this hike. Now it's on the top do list!
When you're in Utah again, have you heard of Goblin Valley State Park? That was part of our honeymoon trip through Utah and Colorado and it was so bizarre :D -Amy
I have heard of it, but haven't been. Next time!
Had to watch again and show woody he loves seeing where your at this is something I would like to see
awesome video, watch out for snakes they are out now I saw 2 in videos and one guy got bit yesterday.have a great time
I'm always on the lookout, but haven't seen one yet!
Great scenery in an area that we missed on our tour through the South West. At least we can still experience it all via your vids. Thanks! That agave spike was certainly a good-un.
It's definitely worth a visit if you make it out here again!
@@Sue_Cloutier Sadly only possible on the imminent permanent wings, I'm afraid.
Yeppers, a big critter crop this year is expected. I think two types of cicadas emerge this year. Watch out for copperheads.
Will do!
It's so amazing how each park brings something unique, and how all of these parks are all part of our country.
Right?! I am constantly amazed all over again.
One of us was in Alaska and not on the computer for awhile. Catching up now on videos. Thanks again for your trips and tips.
Thanks for watching!
We're extra excited to see you doing the parks we did last July! Kiddo was overjoyed to recognize the Lady Bird Johnson Trail here. -Amy
Oh that's awesome! What's her favorite part of Redwood?
Ah, this is a great national park that we've wanted to visit for a long time. The trail through the redwoods and Fern Canyon is fantastic and the coastline is breathtaking. Thank you for showing us all these wonderful places. 🙂👍
You're welcome! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching. 😊
unique like a island type trails, I see Sasquash territory when you started day 2-
Yeah? Apparently there are a ton of sightings in that area. I didn't see any though.
So pretty there.
Great video, I also just climbed half dome for the first time last month! It was so much fun, and intense! Cheers!
What a fun park. The layers in the rock are so cool
here we are stuck in flat Lubbock but we did enjoy Yosemite many years ago. love you videos too.
Probably best not to disregard Rabbi John Cleese's injunction not to say ..... there! No shortage of rocks! 😱🙄😈

Lassen is so beautiful idk why it's relatively not busy compared to the other parks. It's almost like a similar version of yellowstone. Redwoods is gonna be great can't wait for that!
awesome thanks for sharing
Glad to see a report. I was watching for this Tuesday and expected your Half Dome thingy. I was half worried.
Haha, sorry for the delay! Can you imagine if I had never posted another video and just disappeared? That would be freaky...
Nice to see the Jay! Young Matt has his head screwed on correctly! 😉 Always do as much as you can while you are able - but be sensible enough to recognize when those days are coming to a close. No point putting others at risk for your own stubbornness and stupidity. 🙄
so proud of you.I love you more. glad you got to do this as well.
I swear Utah has some of the best parks. What incredible views!
Agreed!
Certainly some cool hang glider/paraglider/base jump/wingsuit launch sites there! 😱🙄😈
Amazing place!
Am I first again.... holy hell. It's a butte 😆
😜
Very artistically rendered, thank you!
Zion is one of my top bucket list parks to visit, so this was a fun video to watch. You ladies did some fun hikes.
Yeah, this was definitely a fun one!
The rock cairn at about twelve minutes was interesting, but the peek through the arch was spectacular. Thanks for letting us tag along.
The holes in the walls are "potholes" caused by the stones in them being swirled around by floodwaters when the bed of the wash was higher. The most interesting geological feature I noticed was the slightly dipping Discontinuity Line cutting through both walls. You can see the difference in the bedding above and below the line. There could be quite a lot of time between the laying down of the 2 sequences.
I didn't know about that Jurassic part of Arizona. What a cool find. Very interesting, TY Sue.
You Rock, Sue. I never been that close to the Grand Canyon! Thanks for taking me. Good🍀Luck in your further exploits and hope to join you again soon. 💝
Aww, thank you!
Oh, you should have gone the mile or so from Havasupai Gardens out to Plateau Point. Epic views of the edge down to the river below.
Cool beans, you often find trail critters. They used to do helicopter tours so that might explain it, or yes possibly a SAR mission. Perhaps it was just a Park related mission. Thanks for sharing the neat experiences with us.
Now I'm definitely first. One minute ago... wow. Cool hat BTW.
Hahaha, you win! Thanks 🙂
Nice video it looks like it was made by the masoooooin the middle of the 1800s %
This park makes me want to move to Colorado and I don't want to deal with snow anymore. lol. What a beautiful place.
This is the first of your videos that I've seen, and you earned an Atta Girl for the video and the courage to camp by yourself in the middle of nowhere. A word of caution and hope. Watch for Black Widow Spiders and Scorpions. I hope you carry some type of effective protection. The most dangerous animal to likely cause you harm is the two-leg type. Now I am off to check out your channel and other videos.
A new book "THE TENT". Chapter one: The animals pass down a story through the ages, teaching their young.....about THE TENT. THE TENT yelled anytime we approached......
🤣🤣
