Me, my husband, and son used to spend our vaction time at Cedar Grove, Sequioa and Kings Canyon valley every year! We prefered to be away from the crowds. You really need to go back to visit the Kings Canyon valley in the summer. There are great hiking trails from the valley to the backcountry beautiful Rae Lakes. Get permits and take a backpack to go camping with a friend. If you do a day hike on Bubbs Creek or Woods Creek, you still need a reservation because access is limited to just 20 people. Can you believe it? Disney wanted to develop Kings Canyon into a ski resort! I'm so glad that it never happened! The beauty of the canyon would have been destroyed!
And in other settings or rather larger scale, prescribed burning may be done to remove surface fuels in case of wildfire. Thanks for leading us through the tree.

For some reason your last 3 videos never showed on my feed then all of a sudden this morning all 3 of them are there. I was wondering if something happened and you stopped the journey lol. Sequoia/kings canyon looks amazing. I been to redwoods but never to Sequoia. Redwoods is one of my favorite places on earth. Those trees look massive where you are as well! The camera can't do it justice

That's strange! Glad they finally showed up for you. I've heard the Redwood trees are even taller than the Sequoias. I can't wait to see them!
