A great Park to visit for those with an interest in local History and Archaeology. Nice to see the extra developments by Park Authorities at the Pit House sites since a visit in 2010. The views from the Rims and the Spruce Canyon Trail remain as always - beautiful. Surprisingly little snow for this early in the year? No doubt Rocky Mountain National Park will be different.
Pit houses were only used for ceremonies, half a dozen to a dozen attendees would participate. They lived nearby in separate places. At the Sun Temple you missed the Sun Dial used to forecast Equinoxes and Solstices. Hope you are enjoying the journey , glad to see you out this way.
Yeppers four corners is popular, BUT I haven't been yet. My state shares a three state corner, and yeah, ain't been yet!
This park is so cool with all the houses.

Yes, it's been a dry year this winter, making up for the over abundance last year.

The fires are current, in this century. The Anazasi lived in the cliff dwellings some 800 or more years ago.
