LAST YEAR, Miu and I got legally married in a private ceremony in Shanghai, China with just the two of us, and didn't tell our extended friends and family until now...
Join us as we share with you our secret wedding day vlog, that not even my parents or best friends have seen, and the behind the scenes on how to get legally married in China.
Getting married is a huge step for any relationship, especially when you are both from different cultures. When we first discussed getting married, neither of us knew how to go about getting legally married as a foreigner in China and had no married friends in international relationships to give us advice- So, we filmed the whole process for you incase you are an international couple looking to get married in China.
I couldn't believe that the whole wedding cost so little:
50 GBP for the affirmation at the British Consulate, 80RMB (~10GBP) for the translation, and 80RMB (~10GBP) for the photos for the marriage license. The appointment to get legally married and get the wedding certificate was FREE!!

@@ExpatNatt Watching both of you getting married brought back memories of ours in a similar process in Canada. I am from a chinese ethnicity and my wife is of an european ethnicity. So quickly we are on our 37th year of marriage with 3 great grown children. Enjoy each other, time goes by quick.

At the time that we got married my mum was still going through chemotherapy so they haven’t been able to celebrate with us yet. So we wanted to keep it quiet so it would still be special when go back to England this summer to celebrate with our loved ones

Your paintings are lovely and would make a lovely framed wall hanging. I was sad when i lost my Scottish Granny (so many grandkids all called her Granny) but we have all those years of happy memories always in our hearts. I see you have so many lovely food places nearby with a nice park making your area a great place to live. Such an enjoyable video.
