I’m surprised to see so many waterways in Shanghai outskirts.
Yes there are loads out in Qingpu and lots of big lakes as you head into the direction of Suzhou. It’s very peaceful!

BTW how do you endure the hot weather in Shanghai? Especially during summer?
Lots of ice cream, cold showers, and aircon 😅😅 Most the time I go back to England for a few weeks in summer to avoid the heat!
@@ExpatNatt Yeah, the summer in late july through august (called 伏旱 in Chinese) in the Yantze Delta region is absolutely unbearable; it's the result of unique geographic factors specific to the lower Yangtze, not anywhere else in the world. Usually I would stay 24*7 in an air-conditioned room.
You can take a vacation in northern China or even Mongolia or Siberia
I didn't accomplish my goals the first half of the year, to lose weight. I will try again the second half.
I feel you! This was my main goal too hahahah I did so well in the first half and went to the gym everyday but now I’m too busy and want to eat 100 pizzas 😭😭
So much excitement here. Shopping, shopping, shopping but where's the culture. Gelato and salad are hardly Chinese contributions to cuisine.
So what we left with? Nothing much.
