This takes me back 15 years when I went to Hong Kong! I had so much fun walking on the waterfront Avenue of Stars and seeing the Bruce Lee statue and a Chinese junk sailing! I passed by The Peninsula, too, and thought that hotel looked so ritzy 😊. As a stamp enthusiast, there were such cool bird themed stamps at the time and of course, the merchandise related to the 2008 Olympics. The many oyster pancakes and vita soy lychee and mango drinks that I had there were so tasty! Those waffle ice cream snacks you guys had looked so good!
The waterfront promenade has some gorgeous views. Thank you for showing us around. Would love to make it to Asia one day soon. - Candice, Andrew, and Riley 🐾
Wow, so pleased to see that you were in Hong Kong, and that the city has returned to normality. Did you not go to any dim-sum restaurant? Maybe in the next video?
Hong kong is primarily a shopping island in my view, my wife always pass through Hong kong to buy gifts for family and friends before going to China. ♥️
@@ExpatNatt yes I will, I so enjoyed your blog in Shanghai it was right where she lives and the coffee bars she goes to and where she gets her hair done, you might see her about with her cute little rescue dog!
I only know how to get it if you arrived into West Kowloon railway station. Go down to level B2 and have a look for a stall with some people, if not you can ask at the help desk where to redeem the voucher. They guided us to one of the upper levels where there was a table with two people and lots of leaflets. They needed to see your arrival card (a tiny piece of paper from immigration that tells you how long you can stay in HK for) then they will check your passport and give you the leaflet. You will need to have WeChat downloaded into your phone as you will scan the QR code on the leaflet via WeChat to redeem the voucher. Once scanned there will be a list of all the places you can spend the voucher (entertainment, tickets, food, drink, shopping etc). You then have to select where you will spend it. Some places will just give you a free drink or free entrance rather than the 100hkd spend. When you arrive at the place you can tell them you have the 100hkd voucher and they will ask to see the code you redeemed, then they will scan it (they may ask you to scan a QR code via WeChat). Then that’s it! Seems a bit complicated but actually it was really simple. You must have WeChat though so I recommend downloading that well in advance of your trip since you’ll need to verify your account. For more info, we have another video coming out today where you’ll see what we spent the voucher on! ❤️
Hong Kong dollars! Don’t worry it’s not toooo bad hahah. I will make a video soon of the whole trip with prices to show exactly how much we spent over the 3 days and what we spent the money on.
As a Hong Konger now residing elsewhere, I really think the city really needs more new landmarks. M+/Palace Museum is ok but not enough. For tourists who have already visited Hong Kong before, it is difficult to discover something refreshing. Ladies' market, goldfish market, the avenue of stars, ughhh...they are all remnants of the 20th century. While our competitors like Shanghai and Singapore kept introducing state-of-the-art amusement, leisure and cultural spots to draw visitors, we have been distracted by those toxic quests for an unrealistic democratic system in the last two decades and stopped upgrading our infrastructural capacity. Now it's too late. The city has lost its charisma.

It is such a beautiful skyline! Those waffles were first class, I didn't mention in the video, but each bubble was also filled with chocolate 😂
Thank you for the very informative video! Going Hongkong soon and trying to prepare^^
You’ll have a brilliant time! It’s such an amazing city ❤️

I love Hong Kong, I have family there. The promenade is iconic, so many martial arts movies filmed there
Yes, and you can see sculptures of the actors along the promenade ❤️ I love Hong Kong too ❤️

Every populated city is a place for commerce. There's nothing free in this world.
You are brave to go to hobg kong. How is it there for foreigners vs china. Heard bad things happen there
I keep asking my daughter if she’s seen you out and about in Shanghai
If she ever does, encourage her to come to me and say hello! ❤️ it’s a big city but the world has a way of bringing people together

Hong Kong is soo beautiful ✨❤ ..
Well can you tell me how much that apartment cost?
This Airbnb was 1530HK$ for 2 nights ❤️
thats the same room i will be in next month hahaha. cool video by the way. what camera and audio do you use the quality is very good
Crazy! I just use my iPhone 12, nothing special. I thought about buying a camera but I’d rather invest the money in content at the moment 😅
Very informative video, love it. I'm sure you called Miu your boyfriend at some point though!!
Really?!? I’ll have to rewatch it to see where 😅😅
Did you have a chance to go to Victoria Peak at night? 😊
In our next vlog we will go to Victoria Peak in the late afternoon but we had special plans for the evening so didn’t see it at night ❤️
比起新加波香港消費還算是便宜了。
嗯嗯 确实还行。有点英国的物价感觉,比起内地已经相当贵了
香港物价一直很高 新加坡物价也就只是最近十年比较高
Hi, we are traveling to hk in December. Where can we get the 100hkd voucher? Also any tip you can give will be great! Thanks and great vid!

@@ExpatNatt ok,that's great

Thank you for your perspective. If you could add anything to Hong Kong to improve it, what would you do?
