China is a wonder land with so many cultural backgrounds. ❤❤❤
It is a beautiful place
The city is really beautiful.
It definitely is! 🥰
nanjing looks so pretty! Absolutely on my list of places to go in China
It’s beautiful ❤️
All the fries you show in your videos always look so good! The duck looked really rich tasting especially when Miu poured juices over it. I would have never known from the sights of the streets with all the greenery that the temperature was so high. Nanjing is still one of the places I want to visit some day just for the duck and beef dumplings.
The food was delicious! We like to order fries because we can always compare how good they are to each place we order them front 😂 Summer in this part of China is always scorching, luckily most of the streets are lined with trees to keep pedestrians in the shade 🥰
Nice city, nice seeing you all again. 👍
Thank you for watching! ❤️
I've visited China four times and saw different regions. Every time I've visited... I've seen big improvements. I would even be bold enough to say that the major cities in China are now overall cleaner looking than the major cities in the US.
For one example, I've visited public parks in Dalian and was amazed at how clean they look. No litter or graffiti anywhere... even the skateboard rink looks clean. And there are lots of people out there enjoying the parks... but seem to have respect for the facilities there.
When I return home and tell my co-workers about my travels to China.... they refuse to believe me or the pictures I took. They just want to believe that I was shown around a "fake city" built for showing tourists.
And yet... these folks talk like they are all "China experts'. Anyway, have fun in China and God bless you.🙏👍❤🤚
Oh, the same experience, people tend to believe in media rather than listening to first had experiences. Even some of my Chinese colleagues think I am exaggerating things when I compare cities in China with Europe or the US. Last week I was comparing Shanghai and NY, reactions were like: Are you serious?!!!! 😲 I have visited a couple of cities in China so far, including some small cities: with the same conclusion! China is of course huge and I will have to visit more places ( = a lot of video projects 😉) to get a more realistic picture but at least I can say my 6 months of living in China has proved many stereotypes I had in my mind to be completely wrong.
Western media are always attacking China and discrediting China. Continuously spreading rumors. Don't trust the western media.@@Nook.Cranny
对于外国的友友们可能不是经常吃鸭子,但是相信我,这个烤鸭超级无敌好吃,一口冒油!!配上特色酱汁,搭一点面条或者米饭,简直一绝 yyds!!MUST TRY IT!
很好吃😋
hahahaha 'No Worries' sounds very Aussie indeed. Great video 🥰
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Every place is a gem...❤
I agree! ❤️
Thanks for the Nanjing video. Nice job on your camera work and editing.
Thank you for watching! 🥰
😂😂😂😂😂, funny girl, off course he knows where he is going.❤❤❤❤
Yes, I would like to see you up the mountain, if conditions permit. Thanks you.
Yes, I’d definitely like to return in autumn or spring, I’d also like to visit some other nearby temples which again are all outside and in the heat 😅
❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️
Been to Nanjing only once, and the only thing I could remember was the scorching heat in summer. It's dubbed as one of the "four furnaces" in China when it comes to weather. I can imagine how you were feeling when you guys walked right into it.
I didn’t know that! Shanghai gets very hot in summer too, but up on that “mountain” searching for the temples with zero shade, I thought I might faint 😅 I thought it better to call it a day and head down rather than get to the top and need to be carried down hahha!
Autumn is the best time of Nanjing. But summer is not so hot as before.
Nice stroll in Ancient Capital as loves ,have a bite of the Gourmet food
Nanjing is so fascinating
I like your video, full of positive energy, very sweet couple.
Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
❤احبكككك
just commented on the dealing with homesicknesses video, turns out you are having lots of fun right now, wonderful trip in Nanjing, almost felt the romance and the laziness. Although the heat seems a big challenge. lol
Yes, it was very hot 😅 We will try to return in Autumn or spring to show the best of the weather 🥰
already expecting that vlog. lol@@ExpatNatt
The background music is good !
Thank you! ❤️
Suggest go to Harbin, best season , very nice weather (around 22 degrees in summer ), good food and fruits
Yes, we would like to visit Harbin. Perhaps next year!
I really like the calm guitar and intervals in the narration of the video. It makes the video a pleasant watch.
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Can you tell me the name of the song that starts at 8:30 time stamp? You got your self a new subscriber 😊
The song at 8:11 - 10:03 is Breeze U by Collin Lim ❤️

Beautiful city, nice trip!

南京烤鸭比北京烤鸭好吃
Hi, you should do a video on what not to do in China, as I am traveling to that country soon and don't want to tread on anyone's sensitive little toes
少提及日本人就可以,中国人很少有禁忌,除非你刻意攻击他。不过中国的少数民族禁忌比较多,如果你不了解尽量少接触,因为触犯他们的禁忌这在我们是会受到法律制裁的
Wut?? Just ¥35 for that duck?? In Indonesia it cost at least Rp100.000 (¥50) 😂
Sorry for your swollen hand.
Hope you give birth to cute kids like you, lovely and gentle english girl.❤❤❤
🤭🤭
可以去南京博物馆看一看,里面有很多中国文化的文物,有的地方很适合拍照
Wow, so hot, so hot that I felt for both of you! By the way, tacos and chips, did I hear you said Italian restaurant? Another lovely video, so thanks for posting.
Hahah yes it was Italian but apparently they had the best tacos in the city 😅😅 it was more of a western blend 😂 Thanks for watching! 🥰
18:18 Ahhhh, what a pity. It would help if you took the e-shuttle-something from the main gate directly to the core area, it's a very long and exhausting walk even in cool spring/autumn weather. If you like museums, next time, try Nanjing Museum and Nanjing Museum of Palaeontology (world's largest of its type). And the Nanjing city wall walk is also recommended, not under this kind of scorching sun of course.😅
They did have shuttle buses but everyone at the park wanted them so the queue in the sun was probably 200 people, it would be quicker to walk it 😅😅 I didn’t know there was a museum of Paleontology there, however there are some historical sites I’d like to visit next time to educate myself better on the sad and dark history of the city. We will definitely do the wall next time too. This time it was just too hot 🥵
Bgm一变,风格变了😂
Omg, 居然是南京。。。我没有看出来 😢😢
hhh😘🥰
Did you need to pre purchase all entrance ticket? I’m a foreigner visiting with my parents but not sure if I should pre book tickets online or can buy on the spot
We always just buy the tickets there rather than in advance (usually incase we change our minds or itinerary!). You’ll usually need your passport as a foreigner to buy tickets at the ticket office. Sometimes you can scan a QR code to buy them at the entrance but sometimes they only accept Chinese ID cards so it’s best to just go to the ticket box in person. Hope this helps! I’m sure you’ll have a great time ❤️
@@ExpatNatt that’s very helpful! Thank you so much !
Hello!! How many days, would you say, ideally one should stay in Nanjing (if you're not in a hurry but you don't want to stay too long either) to get to know the best places?
I’d say if you’re in no rush, 2-3 days is good. If you plan to go to the museums then perhaps allow a little bit longer. I’d have liked more time so that we were able to go to the top of the mountain and see the temples, however in the summer heat even having a whole day may not have been a good idea in the heat. I usually say 2-3 days for smaller cities and 3-5 days for bigger cities (like Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing). Hope this helps!
@@ExpatNatt It does help a lot. Thank you so much!!
It is best to travel to cities in the Yangtze delta in Spring or Fall, such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou etc. It is very humid in that region, making summer and winter very uncomfortable.
I would recommend at least 4 days. In the east of the city are the Purple mountain where many historic relics are, and Nanjing Museum. In the north are the Xuanwu Lake and ancient city wall. Make sure to get onto that section of the city wall which as the lake on one side and the city on the other. Enter from the entrance by the Jimin Temple. In the south, pay a visit to Laomendong dong and Confucius Temple area. Get on a night boat cruise in front of the Confucius temple along the Qinhuai river. The River bank is beautifully illuminated at night. Get on that part of the ancient city wall too. The South Gate is the biggest one among all ancient city gates in Nanjing. I think there is a city wall museum there. Not far from it outside the city wall is grand Baoen tower. It is a rebuilt glass tower. The original porcelain tower is the one printed on takeout 🥡 and destroyed in wars. They later discovered Buddha skull bone relics underneath and rebuilt it. In the suburbs, visit the Niushou Mountain area, where they built an extravagant temple to safeguard the Buddha bone. The temple resembles monks cloth flying over the head. If you are interested in more history, visit Nanjing massacre museum, presidential museum and six dynasty museum, the later two are blocks from each other, have lunch in 1912 block next to the Presidential museum. Hope it helps
Hello Natt 🙋♂️.
Been watching several YT VIDS from
different creative creators over the past days that are in China - especially; Ex Pats.
Everyone seems to be happy and, having a nice time - with glowing reports with regard
the cost of; accommodation, food, clothing, personal safety, transportation, condo cleaning 🧽, getting their nails 💅 done, ect ect !!
It’s good to note that girls especially,
can walk freely on their own around the streets to the GYM at night ect ect without the fear 😨 of being intimidated or harassed in anyway by weirdo’s !!
My question is - the TAX LAWS as an EX PAT !!
What % do the Chinese people themselves, pay to each RMB.
What % do the EX PATS pay
to the Chinese Government as well ??
Is their health service free to the point of need ? is there charity shops all over the place like European Cities ??, do they have
food banks at every street corner ??
There seems to be a big demand for English language teachers in all the provinces - yet none of them speak 🗣 about the tax implications ?? Just curious 🧐 !!
Thanks 🙏
Take care and stay safe 🫶
James ✌️
Honestly I don’t understand the tax laws, It comes out of my salary automatically and then once a year between March and June we check with the tax office that we have paid the right amount and that we don’t owe them money or they don’t owe us money. The tax will depend on your salary as it’s different tax brackets but it other than that I don’t really understand it. The employer doesn’t give us a tax breakdown, at least I’ve never had a job in China that does 😅 In terms of charity shops, sadly they don’t exist here. I’ve also never seen a food bank but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I’ve also never seen a homeless person during my time in China so that could be why.
So I guess that’s why expats don’t talk about tax hahaha. I think mine is around 5-6% but often employers will breakdown your salary into different parts to save you the most on tax (housing allowance would have a different tax code to base salary etc). Also for medical insurance, there is no free healthcare here but a good employer should provide you with health insurance. It’s usually a copay so you pay 10% or whatever of your medical bills. But this depends on the tier of insurance and also the insurance company. My first employer made me pay for my own health insurance each month and then if I got sick they would pay 50% of the bill. Now my company does everything and I just pay 10% of the hospital bill and the insurance is specific for international hospitals which is really good. Hope these answers help!
@@ExpatNattThank you !!
Your “squeeze” and his command of English is excellent - he sounds like he is English !! Let him know if he gets bored in China 🇨🇳 he can come over here and teach English !! We have a lot of new uninvited arrivals 🛶🚣♂️🚣 that are living in 🏨 right now that don’t speak 🗣 any English !!
Good luck and I hope you both have an enjoyable life in China 🇨🇳.
Noted about the 🏡homeless situation - China seems to be doing something right in order to keep on top of this challenge. The hygiene with regard “zero litter” laying around
the streets is amazing. It would be good to just spend a few months traveling there to try and understand the physically behaviour and mental characteristics along with the psychology of the Country and it’s people !!
@@ExpatNatt Actually, we have an APP for managing personal income tax. 个人所得税
I recently came back from China after a 6 weeks visiting family there. I just wanted to ask what VPN do you use to upload your videos?
I’ve always used Astrill. It’s expensive but is reliable and can be used on multiple devices. I’ve heard Express also works but any others I have tried haven’t worked or are really slow.
Beautiful couple! Beautiful scenery! Congratulations 👏!
Thank you ❤️
