The undefeated versus the undefeated!!! As always, let me know what you think about the video format in the comments! Also, let me know what you think of the Inning stats! Inning example I discuss: 10 total innings (over 5 racks) -5 safeties played -2 dry breaks = 3 potting/playing errors. I always try to identify this stat to try and judge “How I played”. Tell me what you think about that idea...

    12:00 this is something I’m starting to learn. I’m very new to APA and pool in general (this is my first session). My captain came up to me after a bad match and told me that my biggest problem is that I’m thinking too much. I have the same problem of getting in my head when I try to worry too much about shape, at least at this stage. Lo and behold I shoot much better when I don’t spend so much time thinking about it lol. I’m definitely still around a 3 or so but it was a nice little eureka moment for me. Turns out I play much better when I play fast.

    I think he wanted to observe the shot from his opponent. So i give him the benefit. But at the end beat his ass on the table. Run the table on him. Or play safe as much as you can.

    Something I see here a lot from you is your bridge and amnt of cue left out is leading to losing the cue ball. Remember the more cue stick out from your bridge hand directly relates to how much roll you will get after your shot. So these soft shots, choke up and you wouldn’t have over run the 6. Your shot makes up for a lot of issues in your game but as you’ve said many times the fundamentals weren’t ever given to you as you progressed.

    One of my teammates' opponents swept the balls with their cue stick after making an early 9, but the cue ball eventually scratched. The balls that were swept wouldn't have interfered with the cue ball path, but the 9 was spotted, and we just had to all work together on where the rest of the balls were before. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON THE TABLE UNTIL EVERYTHING HAS STOPPED!

    Hi I've been watching your videos and I like them. In my option you think more about running the rack then you do about winning. You take chance on position that is low percentage then playing a good safe and getting ball in hand.

      You are 100% correct. Recently, i’ve been playing better players, that finally gave me a genuine concern for missing. Usually, I’m not worried about it, and know I’m gonna get a crack back at the table. It’s sloppy, it’s careless, and it’s not smart. My game’s been shifting recently, hopefully I get time to provide some updates!

    If I'm playing a guy like the shark guy, I would not go to table right away when it's my turn. I would sit and wait about 20 seconds or so, then approach the table the opposite side of the cue ball. Make some non sense planning for the next shot to take up more time and test the shark's patience. My personal take on the approach the table quickly player means he will screw up faster.

    Youre a decent pool player, just simply not a 7. Im curious if you play in either a very small league grouping with limited talent? I play very similar to you and Im a 5 in the KC area. Your innings should be dictating your skill level. A 7 should have an average inning count between 1-2. Nothing above that

    • @drewvonporte
      @drewvonporte 15 днів тому

      Oh, I’m a 4 at best in this match, I assure you. I will say, yes, this is a small league. In my division here, I am the highest fargo rank (560, albeit robustness 34 🤷🏻‍♂️). The other 7’s are around 450 I believe. So I know I’m small fish when we go to vegas, but in our bubble of a small league, it’s fair(ish). I promise you I’m just putting up whatever I film on YT, these aren’t my best matches, and this one is downright embarrassing… seriously. I 100% agree with you that a 7 should average 2 or less innings. I have been a 7 in the APA since 2011-2012, I hear you, and the innings have always been my argument for SL. It is incredibly frustrating not to play as good as you know you can, something I deal with constantly. I’d like to say it is just complacency in playing opponents I KNOW I can beat (playing down). Not gonna argue with you that this is not a 7 playing here lol. Some of my videos, I do actually play fairly well. And newer videos I actually count innings out and do the math at the end of the match. …. But I wish I could say “let’s just put that to the test” and play you heads up for a stack of cash 😎 cheers man, still appreciate the feedback! 👊🏼

    You would think at least one person would show her how to hold the cue with her bridge hand. She is pretty good at knowing where to hit the object ball to make it but she has no clue ever where the cue ball is going. She could defiinitely be pretty good with a few simple instructions.

    Sharking is strategies that most efficiently separate an opponent from there money. If you know that game you could easily increase your win percentage by 50% in the APA. Unsportsmanlike Conduct in the APA refers to any act to gain an unfair advantage. The rulebook points to cheating and exhibiting poor behavior. Your options are to speak with your division rep and league operator. If they do nothing and your disagreeable enough... do unto others as they do to you. I mean if it isn't an issue then why not. In general I try and be nice until it is glaring obvious about their intent. Participation in something for a long time doesn't change the fact that they might have low intelligence or tweaking off drugs or alcohol. Personally I think there are dumb rules and rules that get ignored. Such as anything that would alter the path of the cue ball is a foul so I kick at a ball and bump an obstructing ball that then allows a good hit is a foul but it happens fairly often. A 45 degree elevation will cure a double hit. You can mark a pocket with a chalk holder but not a cube of chalk. You can scoop the cue ball over another ball for a good hit as long as it wasn't intentional. Which relies on the honesty of the player.... Which is why we have rules in the first place is to remove the honesty portion from a contest. On a side note... Where you in Vegas 3-4 weeks ago with the APA?

    So you mentioned this in your game against Lee, but the second ball break doesn’t work out amazing for table spread and has a high chance of fail. If you’re teaching this person, I’d recommend teaching them a box break using bottom to allow for more options after break. Once they can run em, move forward to cut 2nd ball breaks.
