Lil' Chris is definitely a good source of information. Eye opening sometimes how it can help you shift perspective. Another great video, Drew. This is interesting since I'm thinking of joining masters next session. We'll see.
Master’s is handsdown my favorite league format. By a long shot! You are so right! Chris’ insight made me see 9-ball completely differently. I was just coming off that experience when watching and commentating this so I was distracted but, yes, huge! Thank you for the kind comments! Good luck in masters! Those eye-opening experiences will be more likely around good players and getting your a$$ kicked on the regular too 👊🏼🤣
What is a Champtionship? Great win Ron. Not enough safety play. In 9 ball where only the 9 ball counts, if you can make a ball but probably won’t get shape on the next ball, a safety is usually the correct play. Strategy is slightly different when playing APA 9 ball for points. Then you make the ball only if you can get shape for a safety on the next ball, when you can’t get shape to make the next ball.
100% agree with your thought process Lewis!! This is the Master’s championships in Vegas. So the National Tournament. This was the first match of our first round. He played better in 9-ball…….. but yeah, overall it was not good 9-ball play 😅😅 Ron thanks you 👊🏼
@6:20 ish you were talking about cue ball position. You mentioned Lil' Chris. He recently posted an old video ('21/'22) where Demetrius(sp?) was going over that with him.
@ is it maybe to indicate how eye opening the game can be? So simple yet so difficult. In simple form it’s just move a sphere into a different part of the planet with a stick? Big stretch but that’s all I’ve got. I’ll come back at a later stage with something better
Hey Drew. Just saying hi and I enjoy watching the videos. I subscribed. Currently watching this one and enjoying. I recently started posting pool videos as well if you're interested. Thanks, bud!
At the beginning of the 8 ball secession of this Masters Match I thought Ron looked really good. He had great shoulder rotation aligning his shoulder and elbow to the shot line. To bad that didn't last into the 9 ball session where his lack of shoulder rotation caused him to chicken wing (or should I say Rooster wing) out. Keep working on it. Please don't frame the pool table so tight. If you back off a little you be able to see the player's shot mechanics a little better. In my previous post when I advised Ron to keep his thumb pointing streight to the ground, Bob, in new video, seem to contradict my theory: ua-cam.com/video/hUBsYaKbhuM/v-deo.html Mark Wilson's videos have been very helpful to me: ua-cam.com/video/DhDc9o9iy4o/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/9XW2hg3FTu4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ik_m4OYKfo8/v-deo.html
These are great insights!!! Thank you for sharing!! I will say: I’m starting to frame the shot a little wider so we can see the players better! You are right on time!!!!
lilChris has a very in-depth knowledge of the game love watching his videos. Glad to see you posting Vegas.
Hey awesome!! Yeah he does, honestly more than I thought? Dont mean that as an insult to him, but he does put things in a way that make sense to me!
@@drewvonporte I get what you mean completely

I’ll have to check that out man!
That's a good strategy on the 9 combo, I use it myself. Line the cue ball and the 1st object ball up as if they're 1. This is the way!
💯💯!!! Hard to see if that was his plan and he missed, or if he cut the 1 🤦🏻♂️… but a little tidbit in there for cheez 🧀🧀
Thanks poolcat!!!
@@drewvonporte had to applaud your insight...good commentary
Thanks for the shout outs Drew! 💪
Let me know if you would also like to do a collab!

Sounds like a callout to me😂
Game 10 was crazy lol 🤣
Bro….. lol….. Vegas! 💥💥💥
Good to hear your thoughts on 9 ball. I know it's not your favourite!
Its starting to become a little more legible though!!
Don’t threaten me with a good time!!!

Both wearing wireless mics; got to have sound on that
@@dumbref1459 haha heck yeah! Or we record then review later? But I like a Live stream idea.
