Love it! Lisa definitely can bank!
For real though!!!
Great set up, really cool graphics, editing and sound is on point. Happy to support this type of channel. Liked and subscribed!
Im glad you dig it 😎 good stuff coming! Thank you for the support!
Great shooting, Lisa! That runout on the first rack was so smooth
Girls a shooter!
Lisa is definitely has better strategy. She refused to do anything with that 6 ball so long as it gave Shon grief.
It is impressive how much more you can get out of a game based on a little understanding of whitey… she is good 🔥🔥🔥
Gotta love Lisa runnin balls with barely a single practice stroke. Just down on the shot and firing away.
The girl can play!!!
Wow! Two banks on the 8. Yep, she can shot. Not to mention the patience she showed on the six ball in the second rack
For real! This could be a tutorial on how a hustler takes your money at the local pub. She turned it on the moment all her balls were free! Before that, it was just a tease…
If their skill level is 4....they suck
@@johnstanley9719 thank you for your kind words about my friends!
caught me off guard with one of those opening lines🤣
LMAO I just went back to listen 🤦🏻♂️.... jfc....
Thank for your videos, Especially the matches with commentary.
I'm a SL 4 and watch all of the matches at or near my skill level.
I watch training videos and professional players.
But honestly I get more out of watching your videos as they are far more relatable to my game.
Please continue to draw the Ines on your videos.
Having struggled with shape myself these graphics combined with your commentary are helping me understand the tangent line and how to alter it.
Also great job identifying problem balls and patterns.
It's almost like getting a time out on every turn.
I am sharing your videos with all of my teams lower SL players.
Thanks again.
Hey thanks a lot for the feedback!!! I really appreciate that and glad it helps!!!
Great channel!
Hey thank you so much! I spend way too many hours for each one of these videos, adding things 😀 it’s nice to hear that someone enjoys the content!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Omg your profile picture of 2 balls in a pocket.
My first team name was called “2 Ballz 1 Pocket” (around the time of the infamous viral video, 12 years ago 😅)
And that same photo, was what our group photo was…. I kid you not, I’m pretty sure it was the 1-ball and the 5-ball too!!! 🤯
It was the 5 and the 1! I just found the photo! With the 5-ball on the left too… that is so incredibly strange 🤯🤯🤯
@10:27 agree, can totally even play safe and just rearrange the ball layout on the bottom side of the table. solid is all lock up in the bottom right corner.
👊🏼👊🏼💯
As a higher level player, may I offer some unsolicited advice? Neither player wasn’t walking around the table enough. It would help them be able to plan their runouts better. If they were to watch higher level players, they would notice how often higher level players walk around the table, even if the balls are open. It’s always good to have a secondary or even tertiary plan in case you don’t get shape on the next ball, which happens to everyone, even pros. (That’s why they’re always walking around the table.) It’s especially helpful when playing 8 ball, as there are inherently more bail out shots than when playing rotation. And nice banks, Lisa!
Great advice! Shon may speak up for himself here, but I really think his game right now is focused on 1 ball ahead, as controlling the rock is still a work in progress. Not seeing that far ahead yet…. YET!
@@drewvonporte LOL, I thought about that right after I hit send. If he just keeps plugging away, he’ll get it down. It takes a lot of practice to get good. It will help him figure out other ways when it gets down to the end game, too. I’m higher level, but not like maxed out in APA, if we had it where I live (I’d probably be a low 6 in 8 ball and low 8 in in 9 ball in their league), so I know from a lot of experience by giving away more games than I’d like to admit by not planning well enough at the end of the game, and walking around the table helps a ton. It also helps calm me down and not dread certain shots. I’ve found that the best way to do it is table time. Good luck Shon and Lisa! I’m gonna subscribe because even if they’re lower level players, I can still learn a lot because I commentate to myself and try to figure out what I would do. I imagine you’ll be playing higher level players that can teach me a thing or two as well.
@@djamo1969 ha no worries!! Yes, and watch as him and Ron and my other teammates get better as the season progresses here on the channel! I’m telling you!!
Cheers man! I’ll be looking forward to what you have to say in the next match 😎
No need to start your comment with "as a"
It's unattractive and shows your level of virtue signaling and self praise.
Wow I like how you put there apa stats on there badass
I don’t always 🤷🏻♂️ but thanks for noticing! No one’s ever said anything I don’t think, so I abandoned it haha
@ I like the idea of it I got to show my dad this channel we play apa a family team. I’m a 5/5 73% WR 8ball 35/48 1 break&run 7rackless 1 league wide mvp and for 9ball 62% 31/50 I’ve been playing pool for almost 2 years my family got me involved and I really enjoy pool wish I played when I was younger I’m 33 now haha
@ thats awesome man! Thats alright though at 33… I was most excited when I learned about pool because I joined an old guy team of retired guys and realized that I could play this every day in retirement 😅
Drew, you need to do some more on Morgan.
😂
Great video. What editing program do you use?
Davinci Resolve 🔴🔵
If I played a "3" like her, I'd be crying all the way to the league operator. lol wow
Haha she’s a 4 Clutch…. But even as a 4- that is a spanking for sure!!!! 😂
@19:00 I was even wondering about hitting the 7 and the 5 to push them away from his stripe.
I suppose, but I believe that mayve been a lil tricky for Shon to pull off honestly. Those kind of defensive maneuvers can be intimidating if you’re not used to shooting at balls with no intention on making them lol… idk my 2 cents…
And honestly, giving her ball in hand, she’s going to have a way to combo into that still somewhere on the table!
How do you set up the camera for these videos?
There is a pole right next to this table, and the camera is on a gorillapod tripod gripping the pole.
If we are on the tables that arent near the pole, I just use a really tall tripod and get it as close as i can to the table without being too intrusive.
Do you dig this camera angle? Or is it too close??
@@drewvonporte That's awesome to know, Great set up and commentary!
At 19:29 he tapped the cue which should have resulted in a ball in hand for Lisa!!
He kissed the cue ball with his stick
Funny what you find on replay, isn’t it??
As a 6 it’s weird to watch lows shoot the easy stuff instead of addressing problems. But it’s a journey if they want to be better. Also they love banking over cut shots
I know what you’re saying. As the unlucky dude to wear the Captain badge on my team, I’m often pressed “why dont you call a timeout?!” When they may be leaving trouble behind.
It is a good lesson to learn, to choose to Leave-the-trouble… but then you realize you are good enough to run everything else…. And now….. aw shit…. You’re stuck with the tie up you could’ve solved with ball-in-hand! If it’s cut-and-dry, and I know the player does well with me interrupting their flow, I may, but instead of trying to teach someone while the gameclock’s on, I like to review situations after the match, or before next week, or on Friday night… or right here on the channel!!
Regarding cut vs bank, hey man, if they’re feeling the bank, far be it from me to mess that up ha. It is OFTEN safer, because it’s usually less cueball movement compared to the same shot as a cut. Personally, I avoid banks at all cost, which I’m pretty sure is higher level play but 🤷🏻♂️
I have a video dropping soon reviewing position play on a sharp cut, that does off the bank. As a 6, it’s stuff you likely already know, but curious what your take on it would be. A concept no one taught me, that I had to figure out on my own 🫠
@@drewvonporte I try never to call a timeout unless I can see them struggling between options or just standing there FOREVER, I want to see what they naturally do so I know what shots they like and don’t so they can be worked on in practice. I like to leave it to them to call a timeout when in trouble. I think you and I think about the same way on a lot of stuff after watching your videos. Content is great keep it coming, it’s a great way to review your own matches and your teams matches in a public place to get other opinions.
@@Lemmonhead423 thats awesome man. 100% agree, thanks a ton!
19:29 was a foul and he ignore it and shot :D "oh i didnt saw that my warm up strokes hit the cue ball? " :D and why u guys play on a 7ft table or is this 6 ft? :D
😂
It’s a 7’…. Because that’s what APA plays their league on dude haha
I just have one comment...remember the skill level you are coaching, those shots were too advanced for his ability. Everything else was good, thanks.
That is something ive worked on since then! This was forever ago I feel like 🫠 but you’re totally right!! Thats crucial 🤌🏼
19:28 Accidentally tapped the cue ball
😲😲
no way that guy is a 4. Lisa, on the other hand, is one of those players you always want on your team. A low number who is confident like that can win you tournaments.
She is a KILLA!!! She beats a lot of higher skill players in our league dude 👀 you called it!
Looks like the dutchess of dume 😮
😂
Game 2: The guy made a foul on the cue ball while attempting to "bank" the 10 ball...no one noticed that???
😅……. Doesn’t look like anyone did 👀
@@drewvonporte lol...
FOUL at 19:30. Shon touched the cue ball before hitting it. Lisa should’ve had ball in hand.
🫨😬
Couldn’t finish this 😂 shon is terrible
😓……
What area generally you guys play out of? Where I live it’s all valley tables and the game is a joke on them. Apa 7 8 ball here since second week playing. Like the use of the angles you show. You are a better man then me, I don’t like watching amateur pool, so blame the algorithm and my boredom.
We play out of Scottsdale, AZ Ed. I have become too accustomed to Diamonds at this point, so I know what you mean! Well thanks for popping in anyway man, cheers!
Lisa is highly skilled but I think she maybe a little too high skilled to be a 4 in my opinion.
Right???
her shooting was great. Whoever provided that last coach...not so much. Good Commentary
I could not agree more, Chuck…… 😭
Not diggin this wide angle lense or whatever it is.
Interesting! Good to know. It is honestly a cheaper camera, and I have plans to upgrade if I hit enough subscribers.
Thanks for the feedback, do you have an opinion on the view I use in my other videos from the angle?
The position play videos look good to me. It's the camera with the apa matches, it's a bit uncomfortable to look at for me at least.
@@Shizzymynizzy I’ve liked this angle the best so far, because the quality of video is the best at this close-up.
But ya know, you’re right. If I’m watching this on my TV, it’s a little much. I also think there is some interest in seeing the players look at the table and approach. A lot can be said about that! I’ll take this into consideration, and thank you for the feedback mynizzy 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
She likes the bank.
She do 😎
Shooting without planning, probably their skills limit their imagination and execution
I can assure you MY skills limit mine as well 😅😅
Pockets are like garbage cans.
Dumpsters*
Sean Sean Sean. If you would have just knocked her six ball in the corner pocket with a combo, and wait for her to miss again, your ball would have been wide open for your next shot into the corner.
😔😔….
