Tori was my music for a while. Even now, in my 40s, I'll catch myself suddenly humming Little Earthquakes, Crucify, Caught a Light Sneeze, or one of the many other songs that spoke to me on a deep level from the albums I had. I listened to them while sleeping, doing homework, anytime really. While other artists certainly contributed toward my continuance on earth in years to come, I think the initial "music saved me" credit probably has to go to Tori from me. She's not in rotation in my playlist now, but her music will forever be carved into my memory and her lyrical storytelling is likely the reason I still lean toward lyrics that have real meaning for me.

Avi has had emotional and mental issues pretty much his entire life. More tender, not only under stress but with others as well. PTX went from a grueling, many week of the sing off to being on the road without much of a break at all. Someone who is not a hyper sensitive person can endure, but Avi is hypersensitive and the constant travel, no breaks, flying from here to there and all that is involved in that life. began to wear him down. Toward the end, before he left PTX, his Mother was having a cancer relapse and the group would not even slow down long enough to fly home to see her. Pressure upon pressure was wrecking him. The only thing that kept him alive was that his older sister, who understood his sensitivities was the manager for PTX and so he had her to lean on, but it was still too much. When he left, PTX sued him, not allowing him to use his real name for 3 years, not allowing him to own any of his music he wrote while with them. This all but destroyed his solo career. He used the name Avriel and the Sequoias for his first solo EP. Many not knowing this, lost interest thinking he had just gone away. It took him years to recover but he kept on writing and singing. He was determined to heal and has found a lot of healing. In this video, you see him walking away from his cabin deep in the woods and his wooded land (1000 acres) has greatly contributed to his healing. He take long walks, sits on his porch or his back deck and writes. In 2023, he spent a lot of time back home with his family. He said he had a rough year and needed to be near them. Avi lives near Nashville, Tennessee and so does his sister, her husband and his niece who is the apple of his eye and he hers. He has a brother and his parents live in California where he was born and raised, very near the Great Sequoia National Park. one of his favorite places. Those of us who have hyper sensitivity disorder are wound differently. We never get to be as normal. We must keep a rather stiff routine, and not let others throw us out of that.

Okay, so I realize this is 2 weeks ago and I've got more ATEEZ reactions already open in tabs waiting for me to get to them, BUT... ATEEZ is the group that sucked me into the K-pop rabbit hole. I started watching K-dramas in March 2022 after absolutely loving one that I started without realizing it was in Korean... but it was so good, I just kind of binged through. That opened the door to OSTs, which introduced me to quite a bit by solo artists and even solo songs by group members. By November, I decided to search "K-pop music videos" in UA-cam and quite randomly picked a thumbnail that looked interesting - ATEEZ's song "Answer", which immediately pulled me in. Now I'm fully immersed in their lore/storyline as well as their music, and loving every moment of it. They're certainly not the only group I listen to, but they're definitely my favorite 4th gen group and I'm thrilled to be seeing them in concert when they come to our area in a couple of months... and they're one of the reasons I'm (slowly) learning Korean. These guys are amazing artists, and simply amazing people as well. Their catalog is also quite diverse, so it's always fun to see people reacting to their music (including b-sides because they're stellar) and seeing what speaks to them. I think I mentioned in my Dimash comment that I don't have to understand the language in order to feel the music, and ATEEZ is one of the groups that has songs that just touch me emotionally (in many ways). They're one of the many reasons why basically everything I listen to is Korean or Chinese (there are exceptions, but if I'm in the car or doing chores, chances are there's Asian stuff in my ears).

Ago and Kevin's songwriting g was amazing. Sad Avi left but happy where they all are now and Matt is amazing. Love to them all!

Foe me it is a challenge to understand their message, just they made me think about the need to seek a path of hope to achieve one's freedom and not let oneself be manipulated by the interests of others... Anyway their videos are really well made. Thanks for sharing

aside from the mj medley all the songs were originals. they have a lot of great original music, many without videos, just audio, but so worth it. 'happy now' has a video, 'anchor' and 'easy love' don't..

3 originals and the evo of Michael Jackson make this video amazing. Hearing that the evo videos are filmed a few times live and then they choose the best version is one thing, seeing them do this live with an audience while doing choreography is amazing. I love Water and Can’t Sleep Love and Cracked is good too. Videos like this ( with amazing solo by Kirstie) are the reason Pentaholics smile when brand new reactors say they like the videos they have seen but Kirstie needs a lead. Oh, when they deep dive into their over 300 song catalog they find quite a few feature Kirstie. Plus every song I have heard is unique and awesome. Some groups have a few great songs and a few more good songs, but with PTX you will love song 100 or 200 as well ❤❤❤❤❤ I appreciate your reactions
