if you go to an 80s night, you are guaranteed I repeat... guaranteed... to hear Sweet Dreams, but the Eurthymics had so many bangers that deserve to be remembered. This is one of them.
This is my favorite Eurythmics/Annie song. . . and that is saying A LOT. She is a vocal genius of immense talent. I recommend so much, but sometimes the lesser-known gems are twice as good, i.e., Love Song For A Vampire, Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye, You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart (Unplugged), Don't Ask Me Why, There Must Be An Angel, Little Bird. . . and sooooo much more! Awesome music. 🎶🙏🙌
Thankyou so much for checking out these amazing artists..I first discovered this band approaching 21 years of age and instantly became a fan.. now at 62 .. still love them as i ever did. ❤🎉
and the rhythm ....the rhythm of love and humanity.. Eurythmics will destroy all of us until we understand the power of love....and art....and love....I love you.
In September of 1983 this video began to get shown a lot on MTV, which back then showed music videos 24 hours a day. I was 11 in 1983 when I first saw it late at night and it scared the hell out of me.
With THIS song my love for Eurythmics began in 1982. I was 18, living in East Germany and secretly (because of my communist parents) listened to West German radio stations. I could enjoy three hits before I had to join the army: "Love Is A Stranger", "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - probably their biggest hit - and "Who's That Girl". During the army time we weren't allowed to Western radio stations, so I missed "Right By Your Side", "Here Comes The Rain Again" and "Sexcrime (1984)". All of them are worth a listen 🙂
@@ingvarjensen1088 I was in highschool from 84-97 living in Wiesbaden West Germany and remember all of the great music of the time. Getting to listen to American USO radio that played "American" music, as well as German radio stations. I had the opportunity to visit East Berlin and see the Wall. Perhaps we saw each other?
Hi Saeed! "Into the West" by Annie Lennox, a beautiful song from the end credits of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. I hope you take the time to listen to it, as a lovely farewell to the old year.

Me too. Love it.

This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. And when she is dressed like a man combing her hair, she looks super hot.

an underappreciated gem! ♥
Annie trades her usual androgyny for glamour, but the androgyny creeps in at the end. LOVE IT! ❤
Love her vocals in this one. Unmistakable 80's sound.
Annie Lennox can be anyone she wants to be

There was nothing like this at the time. The impact, the creativity and the theatricality. The vocal arrangements.

Definitely want to explore more of their music. Thanks for watching.
This is my very favorite Eurythmics song. Just loved hearing it again. It's been a long time.
This was HUGE in the gay clubs circa 1983.
I used to dance to this at Chaps Boston.

Another great Eurythmics song 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Heard this song when it was first released and it's still my favorite Eurythmics song.
Great song!
Love this song
Love this!!! 💖
Wonderful song.
My favorite video by them, it shows Annie Lennox's range as a singer and what a chameleon she can be. The song itself is catchy and seductive.

@@martinhamburg2301Well, who knows 🙂
'Sex Crime (1984)' is always overlooked and although it's production is dated, it is of its time but I suppose it could be no other way.
My favourite song of theirs is 'There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart). It is fantastic.
Love this track (I have both 7 and 12 inch picture discs) and as you can tell by the haircut, this was before 'Sweet Dreams'.
Lyrically amazing song.

In the opinion of many, this was their zenith. They never surpassed this.
US Billboard Hot 100 peak # 23 November 1983

just me or does Annie look like Agent Smith at the end? (you know, from The Matrix)
Now that you mention it 😃
@@SaeedReacts. Or was Agent Smith's look inspired by THIS video ?
Thank God someone reacts to this song! I'm sick of hearing Sweet dreams!
