This is a great set to collect. Affordable and easy to obtain compared to other sets. I have a complete set of every denomination, year and letter of non stars. Most 2 and 5 dollar bills are just over face and the others are not outrageous. Key is the 1928 B 2 dollor note. Congratulations
Hey thank you for supporting the channel and glad to hear that you have completed this set as well. I'm looking forward to doing a top 5 completed set episode. Happy Holidays and see you next Tuesday...
I'm missing the 100. Maybe for Christmas I'll get one. I do like the funny backs too. Have a Happy Thanksgiving LT.
Hey brother. May your turkey day festivities be festive as well😊😊😊. Yes the $100 US note is definitely the hardest note to secure for your a collection, due to scarcity and price. But if able to attend, I would say we'll worth it. Hopefully you're on Santa's good list this holiday season. As always thank you for supporting the channel brother. Happy Holidays see you next Tuesday...
Congrats, man!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm looking forward to making my top 5 completed sets episode. I hope that episode will receive some celebratory words from you as well 😊😅😊...
Yep, I have that set. Made a video about it some time ago. Just completed a different type set, and that one will be posted in some time, after the video that will be shown next.
Nice.
I've got a 1914 Federal Reserve Note that was the first dollar my grandfather ever earned, and a 1935 Silver Certificate that was his too
Oh wow. Those are some amazing keepers. There is no dollar amount that can be placed on such history. Thank you for supporting the channel and most importantly for sharing that story. See you next Tuesday...
Numista is a good site. I would call that a Confederate States of America note and have about a dozen CSA notes in my collection. I have one State of Georga CSA note, it has a picture of an old steam engine on it with a denomination of 1 dollar. I love me some steam locomotives. :) CSA notes are fairly reasonable in price too. That was a very turbulent part of the growth of this country's history and should not be forgotten. Thanks for sharing that LT, excellent.
Hey brother. Locomotives you say. Nice. This note was gifted to me as I stated by an Army buddy (brother). I was totally surprised once I saw it in the mail. I've seen CSA before, but I never had an interest in pursuit of them. And to have the note gifted to me be from my home state makes it even more precise, and priceless. Yes those were some turbulent (to phrase it lightly) times for people, and the country as a whole, but we got through it. Those times do not have to be relived, but remembered as to not be repeated. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the input brother...
@@legaltender1980 Remembered but not repeated. Well said. Yea, I'm a railroad nut too. I have quite an extensive RR lantern collection.
@AP9575-jd oh wow. I'm sure your collection of lanterns are as formidable as your collection of currency...
Nice note
Thank for the continued support for the channel. I greatly appreciate it. See you next Tuesday...
Interesting note. Not in my area of expertise.
Yeah numismatic is an ever growing hobby. The hobby can take you in many directions regarding learning something new, or just gaining more knowledge about a certain numismatic topic. Such an interesting past time. Yeah I had to hit the books, and learn about CSA (Confederate State Notes) to be able to speak with level of intellect on this note. Definitely not my area of expertise either...
I do not have many foreign currency notes. The only one I have that's interesting is a 1910 1000 Mark from Germany that my dad had. It's huge too.
Hey brother. Thank you for the continued support of the channel. I've seen an example of the mark note you referenced. When I was in Germany I went to a museum and they had an exhibition with some on display. I also saw a portion of the Berlin Wall. Super cool to see in person...
Pretty cool to see some countries that I have not seen yet. To me, I would have to say my 20 and 50 South Vietnamese Dong from circa 1966.
Hey brother. Thank you for your continued support of the channel. I would love to see the notes you spoke about. Episode idea 🤔🤔🤔. Talk to you soon, brother...
@legaltender1980 I have been meaning to do one about them for some time, but can't really find much information about them beyond the basics. Likely will use them for testing the 3 minutes shorts feature.
@@collectingonthecheap56353 copy all. I'll be waiting to watch...
Took the video down because I was not satisfied with it. Tried to make it for a format that I don't actually have yet, the 3 minute short. So it was rushed and in the vertical format (not my favorite, but necessary for shorts). Will likely do a full format, wide-screen reshoot very soon, as well as a tip of the hat to you for the reinspiration to give them a video (tried originally over a year ago, the post is still on my community page). Again, sorry for not tipping the hat in the deleted video, just working with 3 minutes is very limiting.
@collectingonthecheap56353 that's a step in the right direction.
Hey man glad to be back, I had some serious health issues that pull me away from collecting and UA-camrs. Nice collection as always and I am in the process of looking back at your older videos I missed.
@oxtails1 Hey Oxtails1, I'm so glad to hear from you. I wasn't aware of your health concerns (obviously). I hope all is well with you, and I wish upon you a speedy recovery. Hey, thanks for checking out my previous videos. I've recently just got back in the vault. The wife and I were on holiday. You'll see when you check out the video. But yeah, my foreign note collection just got a bit broader. Well, brother, continue getting healthy, and thank you so much for the kind words regarding my collection and your continued support of the channel...
I have a $5 bill that the last number on it is higher than the other one is it worth anything
@JeffSimmons-e8w that depends on a few things. 1. What is the condition of the note? Does the note have multiple creases, folds, tears etc. That will effect the value. 2. What is the entire serial number?
I like the sheet of 4 uncut notes. I have a $2 & $5 at this time. Nice episode, very informative.
Hey brother. I finally made it back to the vault. Thank you for the well wishes regarding the holiday. I'm a super fan of the 4 uncut sheet notes. I think 4 is just the right length. $2 and $5 nice. What series year is your $5???
@@legaltender1980 My mistake, I have the $1 & $2 not the $5. That was the next one I wanted to get. The $1 is a 2017 & the $2 is a 2013 series.
@AP9575-jd gotcha. I'm aiming kinda high with collection of $1 thru $100 4 note uncut sheet. The $100 is definitely a bucket list grab...
Yes, the information about those signatures is correct. Some really nice $5s.
Hey brother. Thank you for the confirmation regarding my National Currency signature comment. The similarities between the Federal Reserve Bank Notes (FRBN) and the National Bank Notes (NBN) are so uncanny that I accidentally blur the information of the two. But I knew I was on the right path though. Thanks for the comment regarding the appearance/ condition of the notes. I think I'm going to pursue a few upgraded notes though (N. Africa) note. I want a brighter yellow treasury seal. Aiight brother. See you next Tuesday. Keep it Legal. Keep it Tender...
Got a few replica notes kicking around. 50 gold foil magnet on the fridge. The what if look a like collection of silver certs in 10 to 1000. My GF found it for 10 bucks. Was given a shredded bag of money from the Fed one year. Fun stuff like this is just that cool beans fun.
@Metalmatte-31.1 FACTS. I agree with all you stated. Anything regarding numismatics I am a fan. Novelty pieces, documents, structures etc... Thanks for sharing. I have some shredded notes as well. Talk to you soon...
The 1928 non star series is pretty easy to collect. The 1928 B was the hardest for me and most expensive at $100 about 5 years ago. If you can afford the star note on that one, I'm glad you hit big on the lottery lol. Keep searching!
@Metalmatte-31.1 always looking, hunting and searching for old notes. Talk to you soon...
Great information. Thank you for sharing.
@@GinaR Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. I will always make time to speak about a fellow Southern Gentlemen... See you next Tuesday...
Visiting the presidential libraries, that actually sounds interesting. Nice looking coin too. NGC & PCGS refer to frosted as a "Cameo" designation. This is when the background has a mirror finish, and the image has a matte finish. These types of proofs really stand out over a standard proof which are all polished.
@AP9575-jd Hey brother. Yeah Presidential libraries are a thing. Super nice and very interesting (regardless of the library visited). The wife and I did a excursion where we visited atleast 8 to 9 libraries during a summer trip. We had an amazing time. I highly recommend it. Thanks for the information regarding the coin. My coinage information is still lacking...😊🫣😊
Cool information! He was in office when I was born. I believe that coin is a gold plated proof. A proof coin has the background mirrored while the details are frosted.
@collectingonthecheap56353 hey brother thanks for increasing my coinage knowledge as always. Talk to you soon brother...
Enjoy your vacation LT.
@AP9575-jd thanks brother. We are heading back to the states now. We had a wonderful time in the Land Down Under...
That $50 is an older example of their currency, it would be like our monochrome $50. That $50 was 2006, while their new issues debuted in 2018, and have 4 dots for the visually impaired. Really awesome on location video. Australia 🇦🇺 is one place on my list of places to visit.
@collectingonthecheap56353 hey brother. Thanks for the additional info brother. Yeah Australia is definitely a location worth visiting. And I now have some more foreign notes to add to the collection...
U didn't say anything about the 2017 being a star note they can be unique and somewhat valuable if they are mint condition , Star are from when they have a mistake and then have to reprint that sheet of bills and they do it so they know which ones have been destroyed , so they don't have people at the mints takeing money that they have destroyed the original bill the star represents that it was been replaced . Good video
@LukeaFollansbee-xs2dv ua-cam.com/video/eDWKcLexhW4/v-deo.htmlsi=54mIuF6FJURWurUO Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. You're right I did not speak on the fact that I was using a Star note as an example. I was more focused on the 2017/ 2017A comparison and contrast. Above is a link to an episode where I spoke about Star Notes. Check it out and tell me what you think...
Those are nice and the price is reasonable. I only have one replica note in my collection and it's a 10 dollar Confederate States Note. I got that when I was a wee little lad a long time ago, my parents took us to the Franklin Institute in Philly.
Good morning. That's awesome that you still that numismatic piece from such a long time ago. I was once against replica notes, but they have a place within the hobby as well. I say as long as you state what the piece is, and do not misrepresent what the item is as (pass it off as an authentic note). Some notes are unobtainable due to price and no longer printed. I really do try to have authentic notes, though...
@@legaltender1980 I agree, there is nothing wrong with replica / novelty pieces as long as you don't try to fool anyone.
@AP9575-jd I concur with all. With that being said. There are a few replica sets that I have my eye on...
They are pretty neat. Almost like the silver better than the gold notes. It's just them saying gold is a negative on those, but still pretty cool.
Hey brother. Good copy on all. It is a little weird that the word "Gold" is placed on the notes. I still think the numismatic pieces are awesome. These notes are super reflective...
The portrait on the Canadian $5 banknote is Sir Wilfrid Laurier (Loar e a). Long E sound & long A sound. French.

@collectingonthecheap56353 hey brother. You hit that one out of the park with that statement. I do have a certain preference to United States Notes. The filled star is pretty awesome. Thanks for the supportive comment and support of the channel...
I like the Monticello back better than the current version. I have 1, 1928-F but it's not a star note. Nice note to add to your collection.
Hey AP. Thank you for your continued support. Random name change 🤔(nice). I can agree with your statement. The Monticello image, I would say gives a more artistic feel. Whilst the The Declaration Signing has a more historical feel. The star (filled) is really cool. I am pretty pumped that it is in the collection... Talk to you soon brother...

Im from asian country but i love collecting us dollar banknotes its looks fancy😊
Thank you watching and supporting the channel. I do agree. US currency has an appeal of artistry as well as an official historical feel to them. I have some world (foreign) notes, as well, and some of them are from some Asian countries. See you next Tuesday...
That was an interesting presentation. Always loved QE2 too. As for US currency, you have to go large sized for Martha Washington, Pocahontas, and a bunch of allegorical women. The Confederate States had some women, too, real like Lucy Pickens and allegorical. I have none of those due to availability and budget reasons. I do have the same world notes mentioned in other comments, and Australia 🇦🇺 happens to be amongst my favorite notes with Queen Elizabeth on the $5, and Dame Mary Gilmore on the $10. I also have some other notes with women on them, might need to do a sister video of sorts to yours.
Hey brother. Like I said I will always speak about something new, different, or interesting regarding numismatics. I see currency channels that only show their collection but offer nothing more than "look at what I got". Legal Tender Tuesday will always be primarily an educational channel. Large size US currency. I don't know. My passion pretty much starts and ends with small size currency. But to be a well-rounded numismatican I need, and probably will explore all lanes of numismatics. There are a few that have caught my eye. The usual suspects of large size notes: Mini porthole, Black Eagle, G.Washington (Legal Tender) note. But we will see. Thanks for the continued support of the channel. I'm waiting to support yours...
Found a 20, 2013 series #91919919 .... I'm willing to get rid of it was thinking about making a short and put it on my little UA-cam channel, and I thought of you so I figured I'd let you know also
Thanks for watching, supporting the channel and for the consideration of giving me dibs on that awesome serial numbered note. What are you asking regarding price. Better question. What's the condition of the note. That may effect your potential bids once you post it via social media. I'll be waiting for the post.
