Jefferson built Monticello in 1768; it wasn't his childhood home. I'm not a big fan of the two dollar bill even though I have quite a few of them. Every once in a while, I will go to the bank and have them get me 50 of them and then use them when I go to the local farmers market on Tuesdays. People always react when you hand them one, "I didn't know they still made these" it's fun.

Excuse me for missing speaking, and putting out some inaccurate information. I'mma have to slow down my Fast Money Friday's. Accuracy always triumphs speed.
Monticello was the primary plantation of Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, who began designing Monticello after inheriting land from his father at age 14. Located just outside Charlottesville, Virginia,
Thanks for ensuring the right information was stated brother...

I love spending and or handing out deuces in change.

@collectingonthecheap56353 you'll be surprised. Well maybe you won't. The amount of people that do not know $2 bills are actually legal tender notes (pun intended)...

Those 2s are in my top favorites for currency, due to Monticello on the back. The 1928 Series ranks above the 1953 and 1963 though, to me. 1976 to current aren't in my top 20.

I can dig your statement. I'll probably lean a little more on the side of series year 1928. The design on the Obverse is what does it for me. The big bold lettering of the word Two on the left hand side. But any note with Monticello on it is definitely a keeper...
