Sleeves and pages are the most important part of collecting notes. I have mostly the type you show, plus I have a few other types that came with purchased notes. I usually store them in the one type, but find the really hard sleeves nice for when I bring a note to work to show to the coworkers.

I agree %100 percent with the entirety of your statement. Sleeves, and pages are definitely the most under valued, but essential piece/ item of a numismatic collection.
It took me years to even know/ realize that currency protection existed. To maintain the integrity of my notes, I stored them in envelopes or books 😊😅😊. Once I started watching numismatician on UA-cam and saw their protective measures, and also the protective measures employed by the individuals I purchased notes from it was only a matter of time before I found sleeves, and pages on Ebay.
Protective sleeves continue to come with the notes I purchase (sometimes). I keep them as emergency back ups, but I primarily stay with the ones I showed...

For coins PVC is a big NO NO! I tend to stay away from pvc all together.

Same, for coins, currency, stamps, trading cards, and magazines. Some are not worried about pvc for currency, but I take any precautions I can for long-term storage.

Copy all. I heard the same regarding PVC. I'm still a novice to coin collecting. I don't understand the prudence behind that statement. I understand the material that the composition of the PVC might compromise the note (apparently the coins, too). I don't understand how though 🤔🤔🤔.
If you could educate me on that. I would greatly appreciate it.
This is a great local coin shop owner inquiry 🙃🙂🙃.
As always, brother. Thanks for supporting the channel (Fast Money Friday)...

@collectingonthecheap56353 great precautions. Any input on how the PVC components could possibly compromise/ damage said item (coins, stamps, magazines etc)...

A chemist I am not, so I can't give you the technical answer. But NGC has a very good article about it on their site. it's titled " Recognizing Coin Holders That Contain PVC" @@legaltender1980

@@legaltender1980I might have to make a video showing pvc damage to coins down the list here. I have a couple that I have saved from further damage from pvc by carefully cleaning them with acetone. Those coins still show some damage, but the destruction has been halted.
