Oh my God, been collecting again since the 80s as a child and head on in the 90s as a teenager lol. I wish UA-cam could post pics because words don`t do it justice but I started with U.S. and venture of into world coins. To tell you the truth I have slowed down from collecting coins but strong in currency and I am not ready to sell. My latest collecting before it got to expensive was gold coins U.S. and world.

      Oh...
I remember one of the first things I ever collected; was rocks. 😂😂😂. Y'all already heard my currency origin story. Paper was always my first love.
We're a little different regarding the start of our collections. I'm trying to get more into coin collecting. I'm going to stay within the 50 states. I know once I veer into different countries and centuries the price will definitely go up and that rabbit hole will deepen. I think there's enough interesting coins here that will keep my interest. I have a debt to settle via the Bi Centennial series. That's a story I'll share at a later date.
Keep collecting brother. I will talk to you soon...

I'm only missing the 2004 D Wisconsin one. Since you have two books you could make one all Philadelphia and the other Denver. The books I have are, Indian Head pennies, V nickels, Buffalo nickels, Jefferson nickels, Mercury & Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters and Kennedy Hallfs. Oh, and I also have a Canadian penny book. I'm eventually going to get a Franklin half dollar book because I'm only missing one of those. One of those books would look good displayed in a frame. As a matter of fact, I just might do that. Thanks buddy. Have a Great Day

A Denver and San Francisco display is a great idea. It will definitely add to excitement of the hunt. Thanks for the suggestion brother.
I think I'm going to do that. Now regarding the display. I have an even better case. This one I'm positive is my first numismatic purchase piece. I will debut that on a future episode.
      Talk to you soon...

The idea was earlier than that, especially after the Canadian Provincial Quarter set. It became law in 1997 which also authorized the 1999 Susan B Anthony Dollar to be used until the Sacagewa Dollar was released in 2000. I started the collection in 1999, but by 2002 gave up on it due to so many designs just being very basic. The America The Beautiful set did better overall, but still had misses. The closest I have to a complete coin set, is at least one mint mark of each Native American Series Dollar from 2009 to present (so each design is owned, but not every single mint mark and variety, which is excessive to me).

C.O.T.C what's going on brother. You always seem to come in with very detailed information and offer such clarity on the topic of discussion. I sincerely thank you for that, and for broaden my knowledge about said topic.
Canadian Provincial coins sound pretty dope. If it's proven that the Statehood Quarters are a rip off of the Canadian coins, that will be disappointing. I thought innovation lead to this release.
I rather like the design of the coins, and I'm look to get the America the Beautiful set as well. There's maybe 5 quarter sets I want to complete. (Statehood, National Park, Presidential, Native American Women, African American coin set)...

The Provincial Set was released in 1992 in Canada, they also did a Millennial Set in 1999 and 2000. So, a rip off is a bit of a stretch, but it definitely was inspired by the success Canada 🇨🇦 had with the 1992 set.

@collectingonthecheap56353 with me being a full blooded American. I never heard of this Canadian set.
I do recall seeing a Canadian holographic coin that definitely caught my eye. I saw it years ago and never saw it again. If ever seen again. I would definitely get it. It was holographic and had a Maple leaf on it...

That coin is really cool, they even have a glowing Northern Lights coin. Being from Minnesota, Canada is my neighbor to the North, and quite a bit of their coins make it to my area. So, I do come across a bunch of their regular coins, and some of their special issues. Neat Canada 🇨🇦 fact, for most issues of their coinage, they circulate a regular issue in addition to the special issues.

Yeah, I was collecting from circulation in mint condition in change as they came out, same for park quarters as well the current woman series. I believe the woman series will be a low mintage series due the economy and there is no big fan fare from the public, just my thoughts.

Oxtails1 hey brother thank you for your continued support of the channel. I agree with all stated.
I did the same regarding collecting the Statehood Quarters and the Presidential ones. I think there needs to be a more calculated release of these specialized coins. There's just set after set being released. I get the market will still have 2004 coins due to circulation, but there are new quarter designs in the wild statehood, presidential, America the Beautiful etc. There are just so many different designs just floating around and it's a bit distracting. I think better regulation of coinage needs to be applied. There probably is. I'm just not that current regarding coinage...
